    So a little more difficult and sometimes hard to get ahold of are the Yellow Tail Tamarin Wrasses. Beautiful fish and remind me of the leopard wrasses. I have two at the moment and love every second of having them. Great video Brock!

    I recently saw my father buy a red Solon fairy wrasse/ solar fairy wrasse and with how active and high it would swim ended up making most of the fish destress and come out alot more so I tried something similar with a baby and the wrasse itself looks amazing and also now makes my anthias, tomini, and fire fish feel safer and swim out from the rocks all day.

    I currently have a yellow coris wrasse and a timor wrasse. They are both always active and such a nice addition to my aquarium. The dive into the sand as the tank goes dark is always fun to watch!
    I did catch my timor eating my fire shrimp however. 😥 Its mate had disappeared at one point first and I was unsure of what had happened to it. The second one molted and was killed and eaten later that same day. That gave me my answer to what happened to the first one. So sad.

    Hi. Has anyone noticed, or encountered, problems when feeding higher protein foods, in a reef tank, that resulted in problems with ammonia/ nitrite levels? I'm returning to the hobby and have been doing some reading on proper feeding with very active fish and diet requirements.

    i use puregel(?) and just setup a new tank with only two fish in it, yet no matter what i do i can never get my water that clear (in this video, for comparison). any suggestions from anyone, on what you do/use to keep your water as clear as possible? mine always has a tint of cloudiness to it, no other creatures or plant life is in my tank right now, so i dont understand where the cloudiness is coming from. thanks in advance.

    Got myself a leopard wrasse and he died within a week. My second leopard wrasse was purchased after I pounded my tank with copepods! Now that little fella went missing for about 3 weeks. and finally he appeared!!!!! But he died as well. I do not typically lose my fish, however that leopard wrasse was very difficult for me to find & feed in my 180 reef. th-cam.com/users/shortsKkZSmR2gVMo?feature=share

      surprisingly enough, they can reach 8 inches by adult hood. Juveniles do well in 75 gallons but would need an upgrade eventually.

    Hey brock i would like to ask you if the six line wrasse is a good fish for 15 gallon tank? I knly have 1 ocularis clown in it right now and i kind of fell in love with the six line wrasse but i read online that they can be a nightmare to keep. I have the exact same rock structure as in the 15 gallon video you provided a few month back

    • @ethanpike428
      @ethanpike428 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Imo 6 line should be the last fish to add to a tank if you are putting multiple,if you are happy with stocking and want a 6 line,you should be alright,any fish that looks similar/any wrasse at all is gonna be on sight fights.

    I feel like the Tank size recommendations are way too small - also the fish don't look healthy in most shots

  • @yourmomsbff7670
    @yourmomsbff7670 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a 32 gallon tank, took about 25 gallons total after displacement from rocks and sand. It has been running for about 3 months.
    So far stock is; red firefish, 2 ocellaris clowns, a lawnmower blenny, a yellow watchman goby pistol shrimp pair, few hermits, 1 emerald crab, and a conch. Letting the tank roll for a bit longer before adding any coral. It just went through a diatom phase (started with white dry rock) and looks like that has cleared up nicely.
    I would like to have 1 more fish, and was thinking about a sixline wrasse. I am just afraid of it becoming aggressive. Anyone think I am being overly worried? I don't think I've seen more mixed reviews from a single fishes temperament in all my life.
    Any possible alternatives to this wrasse? I am specifically looking for something colorful with a cool pattern as most of my other fish are generally plain looking in the pattern department. Also a fish that swims around the water and rocks. I would consider the firefish the only real open water swimmer. The clowns do, but not as much.

    • @BrockLeonard
      @BrockLeonard  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd add the six line in my opinion. Yes they can be aggressive but with that many other tank mates, I don't think you'll run into it too bad. another wrasse I'd recommend would be the Flasher wrasse

    • @yourmomsbff7670
      @yourmomsbff7670 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BrockLeonard Thanks for the response! Another thought I had was the pink streaked wrasse as well!
