First off never scratch! It only worsens out, a lot! Apply Hydrocortisone cream. Hot and cold compresses may help out too. Tiger balm or Vicks Vaporub may help too.

Dr Dubrow, here in Tampa Bay, Florida USA, we have had a bad infestation of Culicoides and I have fought clouds of them inside my house for a year now, even having caulked and sealed all doors and windows and blocked all bathroom, kitchen and A/C tray drains. They bite anytime day and night, even in the water. I sleep within 4 bedsheet pouches that I crafted but they go through the fabrics and bite me inside them. Using 3 strong Lazko blowers just agitate them and make them bite even harder. The strongest insecticides PT565, Microcare, FMC transport, CB80 etc. only make them bite harder too but won't kill them. No repellents work, even those with high % of DEET. Long sleeves and pants won't help because they crawl under the clothes and even the socks because they like to bite the feet. They bite through plastic, medical tape, and gorila tape. I live in an area that has a lot of stagnant alkaline water and mangroves, so my hope is that I find a way to become unattractive to them again as I was before they started to bite. I traveled to other states to find a place that I could move but they found me everywhere I went. I found and academic paper that shows that they are more attracted to people who have a lot more of Staphylococcus in the cutaneous flora. They always come back to bite in a spot that they bitt before and there is an allergic reaction rising the skin temperature. I suspect that when they bite, their toxins stir the skin glands to produce substances that feed Staphylococcus and these attract them. I am about to get a skin scraping test to determine what's on my skin that attracts them. What do you think? Can you help us?

Woohoo!!! Mosquito magician and eating garlic 🧄 has stopped the nightmare!!! We spent a lot of $$$$$ at Home Depot and NOTHING worked. Ant powered around the windows and doors really helped as well. We seen where they were coming from and heavily sprayed that area. It says we have to spray once a week, but damn is it worth it. They also like when you are sweaty, eat sweets or have a lot of clothes on. They did not like my alcohol spray bottle and torch. Lol. It honestly gave me a few minutes of relaxing without getting bit.
