Bygone purpose is in the name, Hypo losing his one purpose and going through some stages of grief, landed on the last one:Revenge, If you want to feel bad thats understandable, just aswell as the shopkeep Hating his later actions, both are valid in their accessment but now shopkeep is more correct, Hypo needs help despartely but he's stuck in a loop of Revenge and grief causing him to kidnap, and capture. He may have his reasons but he's still Hurting people.

Lore for people who might be new to lullaby or people who might not be caught up with the Hypno creepypasta: (A little long, but well worth it, it’s an interesting story) This hypno is the one from the main week. His trainer and him were little and they were so close to each other, they were the bestest of friends, they had so much fun together, but then, some kids started picking on her, maybe picking on her for choosing hypno, maybe picking on her for other things, not quite sure. She wasn’t so bothered at first, but slowly, the harassment chipped at her sanity as she had nobody to help her. It got worse and worse to the point that the little girl was on the brink of a breakdown. She walked with hypno across the bridge, and there was a crowd of people. They start harassing her and making fun of her again, and unfortunately, she couldn’t take it anymore. She didn’t have anyone to help her with her struggles, so she jumped. She died in the water, maybe from impact, maybe from laying in the water, slowly drowning. The point is, nobody helped her. Nobody even felt any guilt. They all pointed and laughed at her shouting “SHE JUMPED HAHAHA” (this can be seen in the hypno origins art banbuds made) and hypno can’t do anything but look down. He is in shock. The crowd leaves eventually but all hypno can do is stare into the water. He feels like nothing without her. He realised she is all he ever had, and without her, he feels like he doesn’t have a purpose anymore (hence the name, bygone purposes). As he grows older, the trauma grows with him. He gets angrier and angrier and can’t hold his rage in, he always visits that bridge and then he swears he will get his revenge on those teens that bullied her into jumping off, and that is when he starts luring children into the forest and feasting on their dreams and fear, he also wants the parents of the children to suffer as they feel lonely and helpless, just like hypno was, staring down at his dead trainer in the water.

Hypno could have been a guardian of children who were going through the same shit that his trainer had gone through. But instead he had decided to kidnap people (who might not have even been part of his trainer’s bullying). It’s ok to understand what had lead them into down the path that they had gone down, but it doesn’t mean they can do horrible things scott-free because of it.

You know, the shopkeeper may say that he doesn't deserve an ounce of sympathy, but I'd argue that neither do the people that made his trainer jump. They deserved to die far more than Alexis, if anything, but it's just a shame that Hypno didn't stop at that and just continued to indulge his own rage by targeting innocent people. I like to imagine that after Hypno dies in Lost Cause, he reunites with Alexis, but can't exactly pass on since he did a lot of fucked up things, so Alexis basically puts him through rehabilitation to see the error of his ways by visiting worlds similar to his, which is how Pasta Night happens.

This is a very interesting take on a classic creepypasta. A Hypno that lures people to their death. Because they took his only friend and source of food(Alexis voluntarily let Hypno eat her Nightmares). With her death, Hypno who was still very young, let the hatred get to his core with time. Then went on to hunt the people who hurt her. Who took her away from him. "Don't feel bad for him, bastard doesn't deserve a single punce of sympathy" even though he is a murderer that has full conscience of what he is doing, he still did it because of Alexis' suicide. That doesn't justify his thirst for killing, but it makes us understand that he wasn't born that way. But it's too late. He's reached to a point where his body literally falls apart from concentrating only on his psychic abilities. Hence the third song's name "Lost Cause" old Hypno is gone.

Ok like honestly even if I'm super late to this I have got to say... Is is definitely one of my favorite emotional songs from fnf mostly due to the somber tone it has throughout the entire thing, and the part at 1:50 where the ghost comes in to try to comfort hypno even tho he can't see her is legit pretty sad and great as well.

What a genuine shitshow of a life. His trainer, his best friend, killed herself in front of him, and he became a monster, acting out of spite, hate and... maybe loneliness as well. And at the end... he kills himself fighting a demon. A creature he never stood any chance against, the moment she took it even slightly seriously. As soon as GF realized he was responsible for BF getting kidnapped and hypnotized... he was doomed. I just hope that he's at peace to some extent now.
This have the same energy as the goodbye world mod (the mod where bf is singing over his dead body with gf crying for him) just a really emotional sad song. It a real talent to put some much emotion into something like this

The way the motif of Lavender Town is woven into almost every song in this mod without feeling out of place never ceases to impress me, but it's so impactful in this one. The way it slowly builds in the background until you hear the melody beeps overtake everything. It's a complete reverse of Safety Lullaby which uses those tones as its melody and it really shows how far Hypno fell. This mod is so amazing.

Looking at the picture before... it didn't hit me as weird... but when you look closely... That ain't no Drowzee... he has been a Hypno this whole time... So what I can take from this is... he is such a powerful Hypno, he has never been his inevolved form... he is the evolved form. Kinda scary... since him being the strongest Hypno there is, also means he was all the power to make what made that universe of Pokemon the creepypasta we know of today.

What a genuine shitshow of a life. His trainer, his best friend, killed herself in front of him, and he became a monster, acting out of spite, hate and... maybe loneliness as well.
And at the end... he kills himself fighting a demon. A creature he never stood any chance against, the moment she took it even slightly seriously.
As soon as GF realized he was responsible for BF getting kidnapped and hypnotized... he was doomed.
I just hope that he's at peace to some extent now.
You do know BF and GF are dead after Lost Cause, right? So technically his story isn't over yet...

For anyome that doesn't know why he is sad, it's because he lost his owner when he was younger, his owner suicided due to bullying from other kids, Hypno often come to the spot where his owner suicided and sang lullaby, and this is also the reason why he lure kids into his cave and kill them, he didn't do it for absolutely no reason, he did it bc of his past

The way the motif of Lavender Town is woven into almost every song in this mod without feeling out of place never ceases to impress me, but it's so impactful in this one. The way it slowly builds in the background until you hear the melody beeps overtake everything. It's a complete reverse of Safety Lullaby which uses those tones as its melody and it really shows how far Hypno fell. This mod is so amazing.
The "it's gonna be ok!" Broke me, she doesn't want him to titn into a monster of suffer without her, but he can't. He's angry, angry people bullied his trainer until she died.

@@RushWheeler BEN's not actually a child... hes a bunch of children! i guess. and like some young adults. BEN is a hivemind (Behavioral Event Network) while Ben (normal casing) is the child that died and had his identity stolen

Same with Herobrine, Lord X and Coronation Day Peach. And I'm pretty sure suicide is not a crime so it rules out Suicide Mouse and Crimson Mist Squidward.

Looking at the picture before... it didn't hit me as weird... but when you look closely... That ain't no Drowzee... he has been a Hypno this whole time... So what I can take from this is... he is such a powerful Hypno, he has never been his inevolved form... he is the evolved form. Kinda scary... since him being the strongest Hypno there is, also means he was all the power to make what made that universe of Pokemon the creepypasta we know of today.

I always just thought that post-"It's gonna be okay" it was just the little Hypno revealing its real voice instead of just the call, honestly doesn't help that the vocals there and the voiceline don't really match up, not sure how to feel about the whole ghost girl thing, also I assumed she was like a depressed teenager but whatever
I like the way it shows adult Hypno just standing there at the same bridge silently
she was actually a child, but yeah it's kinda awkward how she just randomly appeared trying to tell hypno everything's okay even though she literally killed herself
