This was a really patriotic movie for the Chinese back in the day. Its best to watch this subtitled to get the full grasp of that, instead of everyone sounding like John Wayne XD When he said, "We are not sick men," he is referring to the phrase, "Sick man of Asia," which was used to describe the Chinese in a demeaning way by foreigners back in the day. Him kicking the sign to pieces that said "No dogs or Chinese allowed" in the park scene (I recommend it, its called "Bruce Lee Japanese park") and beating the crap out of the Japanese and etc was like a protest. A lot of Chinese describe Bruce Lee with the words "Chinese hot blood," because he would make you feel pumped up and proud. Hong Kong had no problem embracing him as their favorite son, but believe it or not, China took a lot longer, due to all the censorship and Communist regime.

Jim Kelly before he passed said he met a lot of Martial artists that were good, and Bruce Lee took them down, he said out of respect he want mention any names, but he said Bruce Lee was untouchable. You two make a good couple, wish y'all many peace, blessings, and favor in Jesus Mighty Name.

If you have decent eye-hand coordination anyone can use a nunchaku. Now if you plan on spinning them with fire then you really need to make sure your coordination is on point

Bruce Lee's speed was so fast the camera's couldn't catch his speed, and he did have to slow down, and he only wanted to work with real martial artist when he done his movies, thanks for content, ya'll keep up the nice work.🙏

Supposedly, Bruce Lee was like that in his 20s (plenty of young men are). He developed a bad rep with Oakland's Chinese martial arts community as being the cocky, brash young man who thought he was the best martial artist around. Then there's that whole debacle with his fight with Wong Jack Man. WJM's side claims that Bruce was arrogant and challenged anybody. Bruce's side claims he was doing it to be able to teach non-Chinese or non-Asian students. I'm willing to bet both sides aren't telling the truth. Besides, both Wong Jack Man and Bruce Lee taught non-Chinese students. Heck, Bruce Lee's first student upon his return to his birthplace - the US, was a black man named Jesse Glover. If you ask his daughter Shannon, she thought what people misconstrued as arrogance was Bruce as a fish out of water trying to adapt and prove himself to the way things are done in the West. A lot of those white guys in the film industry came off as confident, arrogant even. Heck, he took a lot of advice from Van Williams (the Green Hornet) and spent a lot of time learning as much as he could. From what I heard, this film and the previous one had Bruce arguing with the old school director, Lo Wei, about how to do things. It wasn't until his third movie (Way of the Dragon, where he fought Chuck Norris) that he finally got the chance to be the director (and several other roles in the movie).

Fist of Legend was trash. Ballet fu with such telegraphed movements. Fist of Fury had more intense fights that felt grounded, and the story was stronger and more patriotic.

Come on people...Bruce Lee was a great movie martial arts star, but he wasn't a real fighter. I'm not hating, I've been into several martial arts over fifty four years and competed and won several matches. Bruce never competed in any sanctioned matches ever...never held any advanced belt rankings nor was he a master. Please stop making him more than what he really was. Let's just enjoy his amazing movies.
