I believe that your dogs will both be super respectful, and loving to the baby - they may even act like they are afraid first, but it will be born of respect. I speak this into existence for you. Bubs will be the one that loves and protects both you and the baby the most. But Iggy will adore that tiny one too. I believe this. ❤❤❤

Exactly. I wish my labor fully went through 24 hrs pushing fully dilated. 😢 and then emergency Csection which was a nightmare to heal from. I still feel the pain. Some people feel nothing idk why. Anyways I wish it would’ve safe enough to have a regular birth😢😢

I am a recovering addict and I have 3 kids (21,17&7 yr old), and I am very open about my past with them so they know they have to be careful with any substance. The best thing u can do is have an honest, open relationship with your kids. It will only help them in the future.

In my own experience, the best birth plan is no plan at all. Go with the flow. You really can't plan something like birth, it is NEVER going to go exactly how you or your drs expect. Keeping an open mind and going by how you feel and how baby is doing is going to be way better than having a plan that will probably change (whether by choice or not) as time goes on.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Also, if how you treat your pets is any clue into who you will be as a mother I think you will be the best mom ever 🥰

    • @jaime4890
      @jaime4890 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes, I agree 100%. For my first I had a birth plan, and NOTHING went as planned. In fact I got the opposite of what I wanted, but what happened was safest for baby.

Also know Csections are much worse to heal from than what they tell you. I had an emergency one. It’s having abdominal surgery hip to hip for me and having to hold a baby and do everything. Be sure to get extra help if you can. I tried 😢

Oh mama… you’re doing wonderful. My mom had me when she was 7 years sober. (She got a dui, my dad was the cop, they reunited when she got sober, always interesting when people ask how my parent met😂) one thing that impacted me as a kid, and I realize now that it helped… was my mom being open and saying “it’s in our blood” I’m worried for you, but I will help you. From a young age she let me know. Sometimes I partake too much, but she greets me with grace and says “you remind me of what I was like.” She used to post that old poem we all used to read back in the day “I’m sorry mom, I went to a party.” On the fridge. that Stuck with me because I knew what could happen, it’s in my DNA, but my momma always knows how to help❤

@@haleywhitten1947 yes you can. The first time I had depression I did not have any pain meds on board during birth. And that one was the worst I was so sad. The next time was after a c section. This one was not nearly as bad and didn’t last long. I don’t know why except it’s a hormone issue but with lots of support you can get through it. I don’t think there is any prediction of who gets it. Stay positive and give yourself some self care also. 🥰

Lizze, you really are such an intelligent women. You are going to be such an amazing Mother. I also am blown away by how you described postpartum depression. When I was pregnant with my daughter at 18 I figured it looked a certain way...but you are right it can be so very different from person to person but I would describe it as getting hit by a freight truck you're correct.
Also hearing you speak on concerns of alcoholism bc it runs in your family and your plans to best support any of your future children is beyond wise.
I also really believe your dogs will acclimate to your son, their brother. Before you know it I really think the three of them will become completely inseparable. I don't think there is anything more pure then watching a child grow up with a dog. Seeing them become totally inseparable and knowing that is their best friend and vice versa.
I'm so excited to watch your family and Yourself just thrive in this next chapter of life. Much love and support always Lizze ❤

Two unmediated births here… first one was painful and a little traumatic just because of other things happening with me/baby, but second one was a dream. Keeping your body suuuuuuper relaxed during contractions is key. Contractions with my second didn’t hurt at all 🤯. If you’re interested in going unmedicated I would also suggest you read Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. It’s basically just a bunch of positive birth stories but I found it really helped take away some of my anxiousness/fear for baby #2. Also, I’ve heard red heads have a naturally higher pain tolerance!!!

Lizze, I love you so much first of all. I had my two babies naturally in a birth center and both were the most amazing experiences of my life hands down. The most painful thing you will ever do but the most empowering. I’ve had anxiety since I can remember even as a child and there’s something about not fighting your body but allowing your body to do something right by you for once in birth that is life changing. I wanted to feel every single thing to know how much I could overcome and I have zero regrets and would do it again. I had awful postpartum anxiety/depression with my first and that was mainly because I was in denial and didn’t seek help until a year later. I had ZERO postpartum issues with my second when usually it’s the reverse so you can never predict or plan for what’s going to happen so do what you feel is right and don’t make your decisions out of fear of what’s to come. You out of anyone can absolutely do this. You’re going to be great.

I’m for the epidural just for the calm feeling and being able to be present in the birth and focus in seeing my baby. Without the epidural all your focusing on is trying not to be in pain, your not focused on the actual baby and miss the actual presence of the baby being born.

100% truth. I've had 4 babies. With 2, I was completely unmedicated and with those I had absolutely all the joy and bounce back in the world! With the other 2, my first, I got the epidural (which failed to numb me) and had somewhat bad post partum. I say "somewhat" because I didn't need to be medicated, but needed therapy for help. With my last baby, I got the epidural and had a painless beautiful, giggling, crying, catching baby moment. However, the tradeoff was a 14 months of medication to keep me from hurting myself and precious time with my family. I'm all for doing what works for you, iv tried 4 different ways. While I enjoyed my experience delivering my own baby pain free, I wish I would have gone through the pain and had a more beautiful experience in the first moments of her year of life.
Note to add, my epidural, post partum babies, didn't breast feed. Idk if the coalition is epidural or post partum. Assuming post partum.

The drugs and alcohol one is a tough one; everyone in my family has or does struggle with alcohol or drugs whether they admit to it or not… me I have been sober from heroin since 10-07-2009 and have 4 kids and have just always been very very open in honest with them about everything to where they can understand things and to an age appropriate level of things and I have an 18 year old who is also very very open and honest about everything with me to the point that I sometimes wish he would maybe hide something’s but I wouldn’t change anything

I wound up with a c section but I went through almost a full 24 hours of unmedicated labor and tbh I really enjoyed it, knowing that baby was coming and expecting it to hurt. Stay out of the bed as much as possible! I was high risk and did 40 mins of the hour off the monitor and 20 minutes on, but I think for regular pregnancies that's not even necessary! I was also able to have the monitor on while standing and rocking for a lot of it

Lizzieeee I’m so fucking excited to watch you come into your own as a mother!! It’s the coolest thing in the world and I think you’re going to be so so natural at it and you’re going to raise strong, sweet, compassionate, spicy babies and that’s so awesome!! This is one of my favorite pregnancy journeys (aside from my own😆) that I’ve followed in a long long time!❤️

Motivational speaking is your calling. Sharing your journey and the genuine, honest way you talk about emotional intelligence hits in a way that screams this is what you are meant to do.
You are already such a great mom.

I love your mindset about trying to just not fuck up your kids enough that they feel the need to escape from reality. It can be genetic but I think it's usually a mixture so any preventative measures are better than nothing even if it lowers it by 20%. I smoke a lot of weed and for me personally it's not necessarily about being anxious or depressed it's about being understimulated like I feel so bored without it. So I wonder what would help me not need it so much

18:36 I never had depression after birth... But anxiety was HORRIBLE. They had to put me on a higher dosage of my anxiety medicine. But I was NOT expecting it at all! I was expecting the depression! My anxiety was SOOO bad and I couldn't even sleep .. I had panic attacks at night and couldn't even drive with my son..
Once they fixed my medicine it helped SO much

The vicious dog sorry I forget which is which icky, bubble, must not be around your baby. As one who had a dog bite me in my face and pulled a bottom tooth forward in my 30’s, 50 stitches. This dog was harmless and has never had bitten any one! The dog came to me and sat at my feet and attacked. This may never happen for you and that’s my hope. I love you and I know how much you love your dog children.. I mean no bad. ❤ 😂 You bring me to tears of joy when I watch you and you and Ryland😂❤

Babes, u ABSOLUTELY should write the letter, I bet they would be happy to give you your childhood cow for your babies! Also thank you for talking about AA and helping to smash the stigma surrounding AA. I have been sober for almost 8yrs and part of that recovery was AA, I really love when u share with us how you incorporate sobriety into your everyday life and how you show that your life is filled with happiness and friendship without mind altering substances!! Love u so much & I can’t wait to see the baby!!

Lizzie omg yes the one thing I regret is not going natural, I had an emergency surgery though but all the medication is what gave me existential issues, my back will never be the same after the needle was placed wrong at least five times seven tops. I didn’t know how many but he exclaimed when it was in the wrong spot so I knew something and was patiently waiting to die I guess. Anywho girl unmediated is the GOAL, but no pressure mama it’s all up to you, the pain will go away, a constant reminder is good, I had ZERO support

I loved the video, and the talk about Mental Illness. I've had Anxiety for 8 years now, I'm 33 and I learned for about two years now, how to finally manage and cope with my anxiety. I personally learned (even though it's obvious), Anxiety is fear, so instead of worrying about Anxiety and when I would have an episode of an Anxiety attack, I welcome it - it sounds counter intuitive but I learned that if I welcome it and not worry and let go, I learned to cope with it and now Anxiety to me feels like a roommate within me and I AM the owner of this house (my body). Lizze is so relatable and I love ir! Love the videos.
