Hey Lizzie I just wanted to comment about the skin tag on your eye lid. I too had one, which eventually went away. I had several eye doctors look at it, some telling me it was a benign cancer, some saying it was a skin tag and was willing to remove it, but would say there would be a scar and possible eye issues. I chose to leave it alone. Unless it’s causing you blurry vision or it continues to grow, leave it be. Chances are it’s nothing to worry about. 😊

Chop the shrimp finer. Its soggy because you have to dry the shrimp on paper towels for a good 15min. Shrimp holds a lot of water so that water then made the rice soggy. But the rice was a bit over cooked also for every 1 cup of rice its 1.5 cups water little oil 🤎Try again and film it
I have always successfully thawed shrimp with tap water. Your suppose to do an ice bath but why be fancy and slow? I think if you compensated for the wetter (extra mayo/sriracha likely contributed)shrimp by using drier rice that would be better. Not sure how you made your rice I wasn't that focused. You should for sushi use less water. Instead of 2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice you use 11/2 cups water to 1 cup rice then cook it a lil different. You boil off the water till its level with the rice then turn it down to barely even on and lid it for 15minutes. Makes a drier sticky rice perfect for sushi. If you don't like side rice that way you just get some water on your finger tips and flick it on your portion of rice and microwave it for a minute and it absorbs the water. Waa gonna say something else but I have forgotten. Try the rice though. I know you are all rigid about your rice but I was 100% happier with that change when I made it 25years ago. Oh the broil..if it is a gas stove those are usually in the bottom and electric in the top with the broil function on and Rack as high as it will go.
