This boy, gold medal at the Tchaikovsky 2011, is poised to become the world No.1. For me he is it already. He is not only a consummate virtuoso. I have never heard such a beautiful cello sound. I've never seen play with so amazing technical mastery, with such surely and ease, with such sensitivity and expressive depth ... Words fail me. Narek, please keep making videos! I'll keep watching! It seems the more I listen to you the better & better I get at the cello. My biggest problem playing this piece is artificial harmonics--just haven't been able to get them right. I can listen to this piece over and over again.

This is marvelous! I also have watched Narek's other video from New England Conservatory playing the same piece. This is a better performance compared to the other one. The difference is that this accompanist followed him and played the broken chords as melodies to support him. She also blended piano sounds underneath the cello sounds, so he was able to shine.
