Great comparison, and exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I was hoping the Oura ring would be a good Fitness tracking complement to my Apple Watch Ultra 2 but given what you said these rings do best as sleep tracking only. Yes I’ll have to wait until the fourth generation ring arrives!
I've tried Oura ring, helped with improving my sleeping habits. Plus a great wear during workouts, i just make sure to wear it with OSleeve to keep it protected.
Oura has really upped their stress detection and fitness detection. It’s totally worth it to wear it all day, especially with it measuring resilience as well. When my stress levels go up, it signals my Apollo and it turns on automatically to calm me down. ❤

I’m not sure I agree with the idea of just wearing the Oura at night. All through the day it is taking measurements, which create a baseline. This baseline is then used against the measurements captured while you sleep. That’s how I understand it.
I found the review to be sub-par based on this. "I didn't use the product as intended, and will now share my experience of that" is a blog, not a review.
1:50 although at first glance RingConn feels the junkiest, but I find it more comfortable for multiple reasons. In summer it's not having full contact with your skin but importantly the noches with the sensors. It feels also more natural to grab things because it's "flat" on your palm where you kinda edge on with a ring shape.
Perfect timing for Cyber Monday! I’ve decided on the Oura ring today (subscription part sucks though 😞). I’ve taken so many sleep tips from you, like the Phillips hues, curtains, earplugs, etc. Keep up these videos!
Having had the ultrahuman ring for since the first batch came out, I can state that they are not a great company and do not make the app or the ring better over time. They also insist on tracking your data to a level that is not appropriate. Something simple like having to have notifications on for things that I don't need notifications for is required in order for the app to update and for the ring to update which makes zero sense. I've asked them about this several times over the past year and they always said okay thanks we'll look at that and never did anything with it. I would not take them seriously.
Thanks for this - I'm not going for Ultrahuman then! Since Samsung just released the Galaxy Ring, I think I'll wait a year or so and see what Apple do, since I have an iPhone
For real comparison I was expecting to see all function checked against calibrated medical equipment. Also also don't want anything with subscription fees. So I am now waiting to get some real life experience in with new rings supporting glucose and blood pressure trends.
I am confused why the existence of smart rings completely missed me. I did not know about them until Samsung revealed theirs. I really hope that soon, they will have nfc payments (Google or Apple pay, or similar), and small touch display (and I mean really small, just for very basic tasks, and monochrome is perfectly fine), because then they might replace bands and watches.
what video editor do you use to be able to show what you're doing on the smart phone to the left of the screen like that? Also, what do you call that process? Thanks! Excellent video.
It looks like they he has screen recording on the iPhone (notice that little red dot at the top of the phone on the right) and then he has just cropped it onto the left for you to see a close up version as well.
at the 14min 55sec mark of this video you have all 3 rings on (3 different fingers) which provides an excellent visual comparison; could you let us know which ring is which pls? thanks!
Its very bice they give a charging case.... Samrtwatches could use one 2 sometimes . It oretty neat if you dont need a cable for a month I mean the fact you need to harge the case 2 times a year is pretty nice i think
I bought the BKWAT smart ring, which surprised me. It has extraordinary performance and exquisite appearance at half the price. I wore it at night to test my sleep and it was great.
Thank you I’ve come back to this video several times primarily because the rings cost so much money and I wanna make sure I’m doing the right thing I love the way you do it and I only want mine for sleep. I do wear my Apple Watch during the day and I don’t want the interface to be all messed up. I just want to track sleep. All that being said for ultrahuman do you have a code for a discount
Was hoping since you are a doctor that this would be more of an analysis on the accuracy of the data - rather than a general product review. As someone who wants to improve my sleep, i only really care about a data driven analysis on which product is going to provide more accurate sleep data. Everything else is just a nice-to-have. A nice app is great but completely irrelevant if they dont track your sleep accurately.
The Oura Ring seems to underestimate light sleep compared to a research-grade polysomnography according to a recent study (doi: 10.3390/s24020635), so maybe you should avoid it
The sad reality of hardware tech companies’ long-term fate is that without a sustainable business model that would be a subscription, It is unlikely the other companies will last very long.
Thank you for the helpful review! Discount code of Oura is not working. Is this right? Actually, there's not anywhere in the checkout that offers this discount.
The Oura discount was only available for a short time around the holidays. It is no longer valid. Sorry for the inconvenience! Hope you enjoy your new health tracker. 💪
have any overnight workers used any of these for sleep tracking? i know as of now oura isn't good for us (and the subscription makes it a no go for me) but how do ringconn and ultrahuman do?
That was quite confusing. I would have done just the ŌURA Ring vs. Ultrahuman Ring Air. I have yet to get a RingConn on my finger, but I am not interested at this time.
We need an OpenRing or similar platform. Else these will have the hardware but suddenly become unusable after 5 years because they want you toi upgrade to the latest ring.

got a ultrahuman and ringconn v1....after 9 months, ringconn fail, returned and got a new one. Ultrauman still for me the best, but, battery already suffers and only last 76h
Not that the video is bad but hardly a true comparison. I wanted to see info to help me make a choice, happy you only wear one at night but the rest us wear it 24/7 so you gave us no idea of what each one does or does not track? I get it you are apple fanboy, again great for you but there is another choice put there would be great to know what if any non apple stuff/things/products these worked with.
