Thanks from Quebec, Canada. Your idea of adding a router in the middle is pretty cool. I’m a newbie DIY 52 yr old guy …. And decided to buy Festool products. Cheers.

Thanks very much for checking out the video! The best part is only having a router table when I need one. If you can afford Festool I highly recommend them, even if you end up with something different in the future, the resale is amazing. Thanks again!

So how are they when it comes to sliding on floor in a case such as planing material or hand sawing? Bc i know they are very heavy.

Unless you got a really dull saw it shouldn’t be a problem at all. I cut lots of hand cut dovetails and it always works great. The bottom of the legs is rubber like material and doesn’t seem to slide much

How did you fasten the add on cross beams to the bottom of the table? Thanks

Hi - I flipped the table over, added a few screws to one side through the jointed piece of wood, then pushed if flush and added a few more to the other side. The jointed "beam" should be flush across the whole table.

Why buying a mft table if you can build a mft table top with the same precision with the parfguide system from Axminster in the uk. I have it and made a 7 feet by 4ft tabletop with it. Benching UK does even have a Incra positioner mounting plate for the Incra positioner so you can remove it when it's not needed for my router lift.
    Best wishes from southwest Germany.
By the way festool headquarters are only about 18miles away.

Hi, thanks for watching and the great comment! I think in a lot of circumstances you are right. A few years ago I bought an MFT3 to use with my track saw and I paid full price. I used it for a few years and eventually didn't really need it anymore so I listed for sale. A day or two later is was sold and I got at least 90% of my money back, even after 2 years of use! One advantage to Festool is amazing resale. Thanks again for watching - I've been to Germany a few times and that area is beautiful! Tschuss!

I wasnt impressed with table at all. I gave mine to my son who doesnt have a real shop. I like many of the festool products ,but the table is not one of them . It does one thing well as a means to use the 55 or 65 festool saw .ok for onsite work but as a workshop bench no. My .02

Thanks for the comment - honestly I think for about the first 6 months I felt the same, but it’s majorly grown on me. Just last night I was clamping something weird and it was perfect. Totally depends what you do and not really directly comparable to big heavy tables. Thanks for watching and the comment, even if we don’t agree.
