    Fascinating to see what seems to be the UK development of musical theatre or it's response to Broadway. Either way to a theatre buff it adds detail to the world of the worlds appreciation of British and American musical theatre development.

    When I heard Crash bang wallop what a picture, I burst out laughing-I was in hysterics!!! It sounds so much like chitty chitty bang bang 😂😂😂

    The 60's were the 60's, whether in Britain or in the US, but we didn't forget about the older American musicals.

    I remember the movie version of Half A Sixpence. My Mum and I used to watch it on TV.

    This narrator keeps calling show albums soundtracks. Soundtracks are only from movies. This is a fabulous program though.

    This series is dreary. Far too much attention given to shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar, too little to its much more interesting and sensitive American counterpart, Godspell. Musicals are American. Music Hall variety shows are British- Let's just leave it at that.

    Canada has created very successful musical, Europe, Asia, Australia
