vykind97 My Korean mother also likes her with the emperor so I think it’s more of a chemistry thing. I’m always bored during the scenes between Sunny and Wang Shik while her scenes with the emperor are far more interesting (and the emperor is just a fun character overall). Western audiences tend to want more realistic relationships tho. Quite frankly, it’s a makjang so I don’t care about the relationships. I’m just trying to figure out the mystery here lmao
@@kimmyurii Like I said, I don't care who she ends up with BUT I can't ignore all the awful things LH has done just because of SSR and JNR chemistry. We can hope for the two actors to pair up on a different show but not in this one. SN/LH are the epitome of a toxic, ill-fated and messed up relationship no matter what way you spin it. This show is called Empress Dignity and I want SN's dignity to shine through at the end of the day. I hope her character won't be ruined just because of a bunch if whiny knets.

Well coming from western side I like them both but emperor more since their scenes and story is more interesting. Wang Shik is quite dull but hopefully they will spice things up. Emperor's main fault was to be born in such abusive life due to his mother and being weak but im sure he will redeem himself soon
Sunny and Woo Bin all the way! Sunny needs someone who will love her no matter what. He saved her in the pond, he saved her on her wedding day, he had his master save her at the river when he pushed her off the cliff under the emperor’s orders, he saved her when she went to the palace to get her chip from the emperor’s desk, he saved her when Guard Hong’s son wanted to hurt her with a brick, he saved her from the bomb inside the clock. He vowed to protect her with his life. Gosh, what can Woo Bin/Wang Shik not do? Love this man and the empress and her bodyguard storyline is so romantic. Love them! Oh and let’s not forget the fact that Sunny wants to protect her man too. My heart is bursting with happiness for their love story to blossom!

If this was real life and you were in her position, you’d be scared for your life everyday. It’s not easy growing up in an abusive household but this emperor took it to the next level. Sunny isn't going to end up with the Emperor and will most likely end up with WS. The emperor has killed/attempted to kill a bunch of people so he's most likely going to jail if anyone decides to expose his secrets. He's too far gone for redemption and the whole thing with Sunny's mom is just not something you'd get over and forgive.
But isnt it why this is getting more interesting? if sunny and emperor really end up together, forgiveness is everything. besides, the death of sunny mom is not his choice. He isnt aware of it. For wang sik mom and the empress, he didnt plan for it nor want that to happen. Whoever she ends up with, as long as she will be taken care of. Not gonna lie, the emperor’s character works because of Shin Sung Rok, every scene he’s in, he overshadows everyone and I mean literally too. Lol it’s thanks to the emperor’s character the popularity of this drama has lasted. If in the end they go their separate ways, that makes a lot of sense but him being possessed by a ghost of an old spirit emperor doesn’t seem far fetched either because of all the curves this drama has thrown at the audience. Lol

i like emperor even though a part of me still can’t forgive him for his bad and horible actions but honestly wang shik isnot like an angel he killed a person ,he tortured min yura(yeah she deserves but...)he also tried to kill empress(so what if emperor ordered ,crime is a crime!), min yura was also sexually harassed by him ,he always chasing her even so she didnot like his behavior he always tried to be close with her...
Now he is hero,he wants to take revenge on his mother's death (But it does not mean that he can do everything)

Lee hyuk has the option to do the right things. It doeasnt matter if his upbringing is horrible, he may be rude and mean bc of that but that doesnt count as an excuse to kill people. Yes i know wang shik kill people too but in the act of defending himself(also with a hint of murder intent😧) but still its his mother, they made her died a wrongful death, without proper burial. He loved min yura, but yu ra did not push him away, so that does not count as sexual harassment. Stop defending someone horiible and stop accusing someone good. Wang shik did try to kill sunny but he saved her afterward bc he didnt meant to actually kill her. So in the end i still want her to be w wang shik. And his revenge is the main reason im still watching this amazing drama.

The emperor was in love with his first wife until his mother messed up by lying about the affair. The emperor was in live with Yu Ra so much. He even wanted to introduce her to his grandmother. Then his mom messed up his plan by selecting Sunny. After that I was a mess. He was pushing around to do that, these, those by Yu Ra. The emperor hit and run was wrong, but he always gets away of anything and was raised to be above of anything. He is like a version of princess Ari. Remember, Sunny thought Ari to apologize. Ari did not know what she did wrong and why she needed to apologize. It is like the emperor. He did not know what is right or wrong because his mom and people around him keep feeding him wrong information.
Wak Shik is lucky, having a loving mom. He did love Yu Ra, but he did not think of Yu Ra. He thought that if he did every for her good for her, she has to live him. When it is not like that, he got upset. He even more up because Yu Ra was a part that cause his mom death.
Yu Ra is a very sad. After giving birth, she might have postpartum syndrome. Especially, when you boyfriend disappeared with no trace. You had learned that he cheated on you with the emperor first wife. That can throw you off the clip especially for someone who has that syndrome.
I hope the emperor can be thought and learned new way to live his life for people. Wak Shik said that the best revenge is not to kill that person. It is to have him live his life with guilt and pain forever. Will see what the writer will wrap up. It is so unpredictable.
For morality, empress and emperor should be together because they are married. But emotionally, shipping empress and WS. 😄
