That Linde record is fantastic! Beautiful Sweet Inspirations album. Twitty and Lynn are so great together. I’ve got about 4 albums from them. Great to now be in the know about Marcia Griffith! Thanks John! Thanks AFBMTAR! ✌🏽
Great selections. I agree 'The Loved Ones' and 'Age of Consent' could have been a singles. The cider certainly seemed to kick-in for both of you towards the end...
Brilliant showing, gents. Well, except for that awful album cover Hedley pulled out his arse. Song wasn’t much better. Can’t win ‘em all, Hedley! Did I also hear correctly that he’s not familiar with “Age of Consent?” If that wasn’t a joke, that is equally baffling and wonderful. I’ve never heard The Sweet Inspirations’ version of “Do Right Woman…” Gonna look out for that LP now. The country-soul connection is one that has always fascinated me, and it’s something we’ve all touched on before. But I particularly love how it so naturally comes up between you two. Yeah. This was a great one. No guest needed. Cheers! 🍻 🍎
Another great visit to the pub. You've inspired me to crack out some Elvis Costello today - so thank you Hedley. I might steer clear of the cider though! Cheers - D
Ok my official guess on the Dennis Linde album cover is this is an old fashion glass top screw-in fuse … and the fuse element has blown, thus the flash of light in the middle of the top…. or, heck, it could be just something else! BTW, these pub get togethers are the best entertainment on the VC. cheers from New England Chuck
Yes John I heard ‘Age Of Consent’ this week on the Lauren Laverne Show on the drive into work, & it sounded like a great lost single, played the album this morning. Great picks from you both, that Dennis Linde was great.

Love these videos..... like spending time with your mates. Thanks to you both for your good choices and time. All the best, Floss.
Opus: I’ve seen the moon all white and pretty like the hind of Conway Twitty.

Cool choices and great seeing you both. I think New Order is the only one of the selections that I have. Thanks, Chris

Age of Consent is brilliant! The Dennis Linde cover image looks like an old-school fuse from an antiquated household fuse box.

Watching The Detectives was a bit of a reggae vibe.
