Its not even close to being this big in the books. I get they needed to create a large world to explore, but the castle is way too large, especially the house common rooms

Yep, Im actually impressed that the game isnt a sh1t as the 90% of the games they launch nowadays. However, after many years of suffering with non-finished games, I'll wait until I see the game when its launched. I have recovered the faith in good games with this one! Hope it goes as well as we can see now

I'm impressed by the interior design and the color scheme of the castle.
In my opinion, turning off the mini map and using the golden trail seems to make it more immersive😍 going to turn all my hud off apart from spell diamond for sure!!!

@@NotCharAznable well yeah so does the mini map. If they both do the same thing but one is dots on a map and another is a mystical golden trail then for immersion it makes sense to go with that in my opinion?
@@NotCharAznable he means it makes more sense in the universe aka more immersive i am almost certain there is some kind of magic that works as a GPS
edit: im actually 100% sure as we saw dumbledore use a glove that pointed in a direction of where to go so someone has to have made a trail type thing

Having the line at 4:52, "we're bound to have quidditch next year" seems like a hint at a DLC from the developers. Or that could just be wishful thinking.
i was thinking the same! i’m sure we’re getting dlc, and maybe it’ll be dlc that adds in our sixth and seventh years!
Personally i dont think they'd have a broom system like this and not introduce quidditch, especially with the arena right there. I think they just wanted to get the game out first and add additional stuff like that later, especially if they can get us to pay for it.
@@AlexSchwartzATV for sure it seems so crazy that they had the hardest part of quidditch done, i hope it was meant to be in the base game but was cut so the game could launch on time that way it should be DLC but im not keeping my hopes up
Maybe whole semester expansions for a higher price than DLCs? Our characters can complete 3 full years from the start and making content in the finalized engine instead completely new games makes sense.
They said that quidditch was originally planned for the initial game but that they had finally abandoned it because of the complexity of the gameplay. One of the reasons is that quidditch is a very complex game in itself and deserves a game of its own. You realise that for people to really enjoy the game and not criticise the gameplay it would have to be a sort of Quidditch version of Fifa, but that would require the development of another game within the game. If they had made it too simple you would have complained because nothing is ever enough for you and if they do it all the way, it's too complicated so don't expect too much this expansion

Man the fact a company is willing to release soooo much game footage before release is crazzzzzy. But the game looks absolutely amazing. I'm so hyped for it.
Cyberpunk did almost the exact same marketing. I advise people to be wary of this game until post-release reviews come out. Bear in mind that the people who previewed this game were flown out to California to play it in person at WB's facilities. Probably also spent time at the nearby theme park. This can have an impact on one's objectivity. Every single previewer has played the exact same highly curated section of the game and discussed the same range of topics. If anyone was made to sign an NDA, they're not going to tell us about it. It's very possible that other sections of this game are in a very different state. The writing could also be really bad. I'm not really keen on the idea of this game painting the subjugation of goblins as the "good path." There's also no strict morality system, and the gameplay we've seen so far doesn't seem to show any characters caring about the number of people killed by our character, whether by Unforgivable Curses or Ancient Magic.
@@Mister_Vyar What ? Excuse me, but this hardly seem to be a cyberpunk scandale ! Like, have you seen the will of the devs to show that much of their game, their chore gameplay, it prooves how much this game is not going to fail and how much the devs are confident with it ! I mean it's awesome. I hardly doubt cyberpunk organized this kind of event where it invited people to play it directly otherwise everyone would have noticed it would have been a flop. This game is just outstanding there is absolutely nothing to be scared of. The graphics are pretty great, Hogwarts isn't as empty as people thought it would be, like it's a damn total win. Sure there are still a few glitches(which will be fixed with patches) but this game has no red flags at all, a part from the denuvo for the pc players maybe. But I hardly see an amazing game as this one, with so many footage released before launch ( especially an event to allow the fans to play it and discover it before launch) as a cyberpunk scandale. Look how much work the devs put into it. It's time to stop doubting and to trust avalanche on this one, they are not deceiving us at all .

I am not speculating about what may or may not have happened during Cyberpunk's pre-release marketing cycle. I am telling you what happened. A number of prominent TH-camrs previewed Cyberpunk for 4 hours instead of just 2. They were led to believe that their time with the game was representative of the full experience. Obviously we know now that it was not.
@@Mister_Vyar Yes english isn't my first language but I don't have any issues understanding what you say. In fact, I believe cyberpunk didn't show as much footage before launch as HL did. Besides, what does me writing about you keeping your guard up, which in this case reveals your doubts toward this game has anything to do with english ? I don't have any troubles understanding you, although you are not speculating what I find disturbing is your lack of faith. But we can't doubt this game won't successful. And btw, I don't use any translator or stuff like that, I speak english fluently.

I don't dispute your assertion that Hogwarts Legacy will be successful, but there are different kinds of success. Financial success is guaranteed just because they've put so much effort into hyping up the game with marketing. Critical success is another thing entirely.
This will be the 3rd video I’m watching of this realising that they 100% have someone sitting next to them guiding them cause im watching the same video over and over, same locations, same spots 😅, just different looking characters
with all the paintings, the random events around (like the students on brooms outside the dark arts tower) and the costant music, tha castle feels... alive. it's incredible

This game looks gorgeous, I can't wait to explore the castle and see different parts during rain/snow.
I wish there was something we could do for the game devs(other than buying the game), something to give back as thanks for allowing us to live a dream some of us have had since we were kids waiting for the next book and/or movie

This honestly feels like what Hogwarts and magic should’ve been like in the movies! Don’t get me wrong, I love the films but everything seemed to be less magical as the movies progressed and more about flashing lights.
I feel the same way. Say what you want about the first two movies but to me they just felt more "magical". They are of course my least watched movies of the series though lol.
Yep Chris columbus is a great director, David Yates just made drab miserable films.

Yeah, I must admit, I've watched the first one again over the last few days and the difference between the first two and the next five is astounding. It's so grey and colourless as the movies go on. I think, naturally as well, the increasing reliance on CGI muddies it up.
This music is so dreamy. Like the scene of the mirror erised, when dumbledore say something emotional.
I really enjoyed watching you explore. The game is so well done!

Devs said every line is in the game for a reason and hints at something. This is one of those things. Expect quidditch as DLC in future !! The pitch is already in the game.
I really hope so. It'd make sense to make it a dlc or at least a future update, with all of the delays I'm sure they didn't get to squeeze in everything they wanted to. Fingers crossed!!

I got so sick of the inane, amateur TH-cam commenters. Virtually every video about this game is some uneducated fan repeating (poorly) what he heard elsewhere. It’s nice to just see the game. Easily the best video.
These new rooms make for a really interesting look for the castle's interior. As someone who has tried mapping out an accurate mixture of the book and movie castles, I think this one might be the best yet.
If creators will make study ambience in the Ravenclaw rooms, id be so happy 😌

I hope the point that this shows pretty much the same areas as the first showcase is because they don’t want to spoil too much. I hope there are more levels in the buildings than just those which are connected to each other.

This game looks wonderful, few glitches here and there (e.g. 11:31 with the broom sounds) that I believe they can iron out with a day one or so patch but otherwise this world is going to be awesome to live in!

Damn, I was especially impressed by the music. What a fantastic score. They really snagged a great composer for this. And mixed with the beautiful environments really gives a meditative quality to it. Is it just me or do some of the environments seem a little empty though? Like the greenhouse, although beautiful, seemed like there was very little to interact with while he was walking around those platforms. Hoping to see rooms that are packed with little items and details like a typical RDR2 interior.
Pls don‘t compare this game to Rdr2. Rockstar had years and years of experience creating open world games, while Hogwarts Legacy is the first Triple A Game for Avalanche. If it reaches Rdr2 level it would be the greatest achievement of any studio ever, but pls don‘t expect or hope for it

@@dantee77 Yeah I totally get that Avalanche is a much smaller studio and wasn't suggesting that they should be anywhere near the same level as Rockstar. Not at all expecting RDR2 level of detail. My main point was that some of these environments feel pretty lacking in things to interact with. Mainly that greenhouse section. I was at least hoping for cupboards and drawers to open and things like that. I'm just hoping that area isn't representative of the rest of the castle.
It sure is beautiful, I hope it runs well and isn’t full of bugs. 🤞And I hope the embargo lifts before the 7th.
I'm curious is side quests have a lingering effect, like telling that girl how to solve the painting or not... will she share future painting locations if you tell her or keep them secret to try and solve it herself if you choose not to tell her how to solve them.
You can see another one of those painting in the defence against the dark arts tower on the wall so you might get a special award for solving all of them and I’d suspect the locations would be a lot harder to find, for example catching a moth with lumos and having to carry it all the way to the other side of the castle to a location that looks familiar but near impossible to find because of the shear size of Hogwarts

Unpopular opinion, but I feel too many people are getting hyped for this game before it comes out (which is exactly the point of all this PR). It looks amazing so far, but there have been some red flags to date, and in this video, as well. They've cut a lot of the fun side games (chess, quidditch etc.), the over-the-top handholding for quests shown in this takes away from the fun of finding everything out yourself and exploring the castle, and if the dragon mission shown in the other videos can actually be played straight away, it doesn't really line up with the supposed story of you trying to catch up to other students if you're fighting dark wizards straight away. I'm getting the game straight away and am eager to play it, I'm just saying hold your horses a bit until you actually play it otherwise you may be setting yourself up for disappointment.

Can you turn off the map dotted guide which helps kinda too much? When you do the Lumos butterfly painting miniquest, it points directly to the location where you need to go, but would be ten times more fun to find it, since we know its close.

Idk I've seen a lot of different gameplay and it seems a lot of students are interacting by either talking, studying together, practicing quidditch etc and I think a lot have dialogue so when u walk by u can eavesdrop on their convos.

There’s no way to know about it, though it’s safe to say that it goes far further then shown at these gameplays. Considering that it was a guided tour so it was pretty limited and restricted about that.

Literally the only thing ive seen that is meh is the voice acting/animations. its not that the acting is bad it's just they had them do it in an awkward way... it's like too slow with too stiff of animations or something. Everything else looks fun and awesome imo.
