Figures you explain it correct. I’ve watched several reviews trying to see if suspenders stretch or not and not one review explains that, but you! Should know better watch you first.

Looks like a cool system. I went from a 2 panel Method saddle to the Cruzr XC last year and it's much more comfortable for me.

They are one in the same! Had to have a name change for....unfortunate legal reasons. 😅
Now if they had a option for a pouch on suspenders I think it would be a great option.
Are the “raptor” buckles rated?
Are the made in US ADF branded?
All the climbing, safety integral parts of the saddle are USA made and appropriately tested to meet standards under ATSM rules.
What do you think about this for a 1st timer saddle hunter? Only asking because I have nothing to compare it to like many others that I see comment about it. Is there a bulky feel to it? I’m just all over the place with what I should get and overthinking it. I don’t know why but when I see it I feel there’s a lot going on with it. But again I absolutely know nothing about this its all from what I see and have read.
The basics of any tethrd saddle are present. One panel. Bridge. Adjustments. Etc. The integrated pouches and the suspenders allow the saddle to be your "pack" more so than any model of the past. Very beginner friendly and useful for any level of saddle hunter.
Ask to try a friend's before you go through the hassle of finding one you like.

Go off pants size. I were 36-38" depending on brand and how fat I am during the holidays.

@@averagejackarchery is this review showing the XL version and not the regular? Those are the two sizes I see on their site. I ask because I have a 34-36 waist and was thinking of going for the XL as I get some pinch with the regular phantom. Thank you!
@@Chasen_The_Outdoors I wear 36-38" jeans and the L fits me like a glove. But there is no harm in upgrading to the XL if you feel you'll get pinched.
The zippers are loud on this. I would silent them before a hunt. Other than that very durable.
I bought a timber ninja blackbelt instead. Half the price, padded, 2 panel and built to last a lifetime
I’m skeptical that the suspenders will accommodate bulky late season apparel that we have to wear in northern MN.

I agree.with all of the reviews I have been seeing, no one is showing this setup in late season clothing. I would like to see someone review this in a fanatic setup.

$450 seems a bit outrageous but a nice upgrade.
Street price is $399 and when you price together a Phantom with two dump pouches and suspenders, the Lockdown is only $50 more. When you then think of how it's a massive upgrade with the pleats and larger better designed pouches, it's more realistic for sure.
@@averagejackarchery right so $430-$450 per their website + tax/ship. It’s outrageous. However, I’m more referring to the industry and not the product. They’re getting greedy.
It’s a life supporting device,I’m sure there is a lot of hand sewn work can’t just send it through an automated system. Cost coin paying people labor.
Why not do a complete review with 40ft rope in the haulers, climbing up and actually using the saddle? This is just the same basic info that we've seen put out by Tethrd the last month.
I received the saddle three days before launch and filmed that video in 15 minutes in my backyard 6 hours before the midnight launch. More will come once we all have more time behind the ropes.

Cool saddle…but $100-$150 too expensive. Nobody but fanboys are paying $430 for that. I like the looks of it, especially the suspenders, but $30 suspenders and two $20 dump pouches don’t make a $225 saddle into a $430 saddle.
It's not just that. The upgrades to the saddle itself with the extra panel that expands makes a world of difference. I have had a phantom for the last 4 years and upgraded to the lockdown, and it makes a big difference.
Tethrd is copying Cruzr with the pleated seat
It's not a copy of the "pleated seat" it's an innovation and improvement called an expandable saddle body. ;)
Not copying just improving on great idea. I have a CGM Cobra and it’s pleated in same fashion, aero hunter one of the OG’s of saddles has had one for quite a while etc etc. There’s a lot of companies that have pleated saddles it’s kind of an industry standard for single panels and has been for few yrs now.
