The me this changed my mind on Saddle hunting everybody else can crouching moan all they want I know it's expensive but to me that really seems like it could be super comfortable and not just that but somebody that's scared of heights I feel like that could really really make them feel comfortable in the tree
Been checking out Saddle Hunting for about two years now and because another well know company has the expanding saddle I was about to pull the trigger on it, then this pops up on me and at 62 I think I'm fixing to break out the Old Plastic and give these cats a call
Before long, we’re gonna need someone to patent a strap that will hold a 2000 pound winch (silent, and scent free of course) to secure near the platform or seat in order to pull all our minimalist gear up to us.
Once I'm up in the tree and cooled down I usually put on my outer coat/jacket which is my heaviest layer. I have a hard time picturing those giant side pockets working well with a winter jacket on. At first glance, this rig seems to by trying too hard to solve a problem that doesn't exist.
I hunted with this saddle the last part of the season I would simply take the harness off, put my jacket on and then put it back on then tuck my jacket into the saddle. Never was an issue for me.
@@Chestthumperoutdoors thank you. Either way, I can't wait to buy this thing. I wish it was out earlier. I keep looking at the Phantom but I know this will be worth waiting for. Lol
I bought the xop booner combo because they say it's super light and it's a good mobile tree stand, but it's not is a super heavy tree stand and not mobile, Now I'm trying to return the tree stand to XOP because it's super heavy, So I can buy the lock down saddle but they refusing my return because I don't have the original box I only use this tree stand one time.
Warm weather in and out quickly yeah ok. But winter layers not good for that. Plus is it really comfortable for long sits. Because leaning does not work for real hunting.
I dunno about the stretch in the H harness. That's why our LBE in the military is fairly stiff. With this your still bearing the weight on your hips rather than split it between hips AND shoulders. I think a dale 6 setup with an old army H harness would be cool
Saddle hunting went from lightest method to most streamline... I do like the system look but how uncomfortable is that "YOKE" gonna be when your wearing more than a t-shirt. I wanna see it with late season clothes on
It wouldnt be any less comfortable than a tree stand harness. Probably much more comfortable. Its all adjustable, meaning with just a few easy adjustments you can make it fit however you want. You could also wear it underneath your heavy outer layers with no issue.
@Chestthumperoutdoors ya but a tree stand harness can run out of your collar a saddle must be warn on the outside because of the bridge so I wanna see it with some Sitka bibs
If anybody is buying this and wants to hook me up with their old one I would greatly appreciate it. I have a 31” waist. I run a hawk and it’s okay but would love to get a older tether.
I love this industry. We went from everything smaller and minimaliist to wearing a turkey vest in the tree🤣
It fits and feels more sleek than my phantom does.

One of my good friends is terrified of heights the only way he will get in a tree is with a saddle. He still is rarely over 10 foot.
All saddles need those yokes/suspenders. I got a pair made for tool belts and it makes a nice difference.
I didnt realize how much of a difference it made until I wore this one around at ATA.
looks great. what sucks is I just pulled the trigger and bought the Phantom Elite.
Great bunch of guys!. I’ll definitely be owning one!

Itll be available in June. Absolutely worth your time to wait for this though.
How about that little grappling hook? When will we be able to find that on the Tethrd website?
Tethrd says they are about 3 months out!
@@Chestthumperoutdoors awesome, thanks man!
No problem!
Looks great, can't wait for it to be released.
I was extremely inpressed
What do you use to attach the predator pack? Clips? Suspension kit?
They have a clip system I believe.
I like everything about it. Not sure i need all of it but it looks legit
Great video!
Thank you!

Will you be at the Iowa classic March 1-3 2024? I’m found saddle hunting this year but I need to see this before buying. Thanks tw

I wear my jacket under my saddle to help keep the wind from rising up my back
There a way to incorporate the sticks in the saddle
In theory you could attach the predator pack to the saddle and then your sticks to the predator pack.

Yeah it sucks. Tethrd is great if you like trash that gets recalled.
With the sys hauler pouches stitched to the saddle I wonder how would you carry your sticks up the tree? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The final itteration will have mole loopS on the bottom of the haulers for that
Will this be available as a kit with ropes?
Im not sure on that one. Id guess it will.

How much will this cost ?
I think the initial video said $400. ? Ropes? Carabiners? Not sure. But I haven’t bought since mantis. It might be time.
No exact price, but shooting for sub 400
Take my money 💸💸😂
I have a hard time using one hand on the zippers
Ive noticed it depends on whats in the pouch. The more full it is the tougher it is.

Im a 90% leaner and have done many 6 plus hour sits with no issue.
@@Chestthumperoutdoors I ment leaning you will get bust a lot you need a lower profile like sitting. But each their own.
I know more people that lean while hunting than sit many if them are very succesful. THP crew for example.
@@Chestthumperoutdoors Good for them I say luck . but each there own what ever works.

Totally get where you're coming from, I think the big difference would be the amount of weight you are carrying here vs in a military application.

To much stuff going on , I do like the bridge.
Its as simple to use as any other saddle

If you keep in contact with me here, on Tik Tok, or IG Ill be getting rid of my phantom to get this.
@@Chestthumperoutdoors awesome! I don’t have the others but will be here and sub. Thanks dood!
Man, you just got me to hit pause on buying a new saddle. but i really am not a fan of am steel
cut it off and replace with your bridge of choice
Website Expired
My website is currently down for remodel, but the Tethrd website can be found at Tethrdnation.com
Looks like more overpriced items on the way this season. I'll try not to spend more than 2k this year in upgrades.
