interesting to compare this to last years boat with triple 450R. The triple boat was 4 mph faster but burned 28.6 gallons more at that speed. The old boat and the new one have similar best cruise burn rates around 55 gph, but the new boat does it 2 mph faster. It's all in the margin of error I suppose but its interesting. The twin 600's are less money than triple 450R though, so thats something. HUGE difference in planning speed though. The acceleration numbers are weird. The double is way slower to plane than the triple (7 seconds to 3.7) but its quicker to 20 mpg (5.3 v 9.7 seconds) to 30 the difference grows (9.5 for the double, 16.3 for the triple)
Did I calculate right? ~5.3liters/nautical mile (1.852km) at ~40 knots? In our part of the world (northern Europe) it’s about 510$/hour (200l*2.2€/l=440€/h). Oh mama...
Thats a nice boat as usual from Formula but it has two distinct flaws, why no side glass in the cockpit, what happens jf you get caught in the rain? And that swim grid looks ugly, it needs a redesign to make it look intrigal with the boat
I was wondering if you know anything about Rockharbour Yachts? I was offered one and I’m really thinking about buying it. It will be for Mediterranean cruise with my wife and day trips with the daughters. Thank you Steve!!!
You're going to be north of $1M even without going crazy on options like hull paint. Hell, the Yeti cooler and slideout adds $2300.00, the Sure-Shade is $14k.
SAYS a sliding door to the port of the helm to access the cabin, but SHOWS a HINGED door. BoatTEST... you have failed me!!!! Other than that - lovely review.
Hate to repeat myself but I think it was the Everglades that had the fold out and down seats instead of the El Cheapo flip up look not becoming of a vessel of this standard. "Attention to detail" wins the Big Bucks such that Whaler and Sea Ray win again. Long Brunswick strong buy Long Malibu Boats strong buy Be interesting if you did a review of a Crowley Marine Vessel ... maybe help with the hoarse voice and start talking shipping for a change given the current crisis in all of that and *"SPEAKING OF FLORIDA!"* etc. Anyhow great TH-cam Channel from a Tugboat Captain up New York Harbor way if you're interest in watching the commercial aspects of the modern shipping Industry.
In my many years I never saw anybody on those stupid sunpads.. people sit or stand on it because of the space... only in videos they have a model on it...
Captain Steve, At the 5:16 mark that water coming out of the boat looks like it's going back into the boat.
Dedicated blender storage... Talk about knowing your buyers! (lol)

There is also the weight difference and the maintenance...
Pretty sure just 1 of those outboards is over my budget.
Great job Captain Steve!

The boat cost about $1.2-$1.5 million so I don’t think their owners would mind lol
I've always wondered why boats with inboard drives don't use a hydrostatic transmission with two or three speeds to lower engine rpms versus prop rpm.
Beautiful boat!

Love this boat

Thank you Steve!!!
sorry for the delay we have been at the Miami Boat Show -- Unfortunately we don't know much about this company. They look beautiful --
@@BoatTEST Thank you for the reply anyway!!! If you guys ever do a review on this boat, please give me a heads up
@@andrescastaneda8833 Absolutely! Thanks for writing in and be on the look out for this one. ;)
Formula boats are excellent buys. They're designed for max proformance and comfort also being reliable. 😎👍
Totally agree!
Can't call it a party boat without a dedicated storage for a blender to make margaritas
Does anyone know the approximate price of this beauty?

Still waiting for the lottery here in the uk then she will be mine

Wow!!! 54g to go 45mi. That fucking sucks. Had a 33ft Carver Voyager that got better range than that at 70% throtle.
Don't know what it is but the boat is just ugly to me. Great review though.
I’m sure they are very capable and perhaps practical, but they just look like lumps of plastic, lacking in style and class.
Lekker man lekker
