    Supposedly the yellow pond lily (nuphar lutea) taste very horrible but these are a different variety…

    I think not every species of water lily has a palatable tuber. They're all "edible" but some of them taste so disgusting that you would have to be insane to eat a large amount

    Thank you for this video. Wondering how to eat the bulb like the native Americans used to. We have spatterdock with the yellow bulbs but not sure how to prepare the seed bulb for consumption.

      I am trying to find something to compare it to. 🤔. Maybe a none sweet version of a sweet potato but drier. It's starchy.
