@@jamesh1208 Even less people realise how important is this guy for motorsport in Poland. Before him, we had nothing major but Rally of Poland. Track racing was nonexistent on international level, we had some local and FIA regional events at Tor Poznań (cool series like Maluch Cup, Alfa Romeo Throphy, FIA-CEZ events with GT cars), but while in the late 80's and thru the 90's the track was blooming, now it's becomig a victim of angry local residents, and racing is slowly dying there. Silesia Ring, which is our newest circuit, is still undergoing homologation process, as I recall, and even if it does eventually, grade 2 is absolute max for this circuit, but I think it won't reach above 3. So again - no serious racing series here.
So what we have left is karting, but again, talents like Kubica, even if they show up - they don't have much chance, because of poor sponsorship. Take Karol Basz for example, who was on equal level in karting as Kubica, maybe even better, but because of not having sufficient funds, he had to look for other options than Formula racing.
For me, as a true fan of motorsport, of track racing in praticular, events form february 2011 were devastating, and all this Kubica bashing after his "poor performance" after such an outstanding comeback, comparable only to Zanardi or Monger, is even more devastating.
Didn't he nearly lose his hand? It is amazing that he's back in F1 and I hate to say it but he must be bringing some big sponsorship money with him as Williams are in a real mess at the moment and I seriously doubt they have the money to pay Robert's wages..
And he won the FIA WRC2
Good training before jumping into less predictable F1 Williams cars.
F1 cars are the best handling cars out there, but its really predictable and boring when they race

@chibikong First of all, crash is a crash and I'm not trying to say he didn't crash when he did. From what I understand, he had to roll a dice many times, because his car was not as good as others, which is interesting for me.
Anyway, he had really amazing speed as a racing driver who decided to rally, not a pure rally driver. With the right car he can challenge top guys, I'm not sure about beating them, but still, imagine CR7 or someone starting to play basketball and then shooting 3s in Curry's face.

No, those would definitely be considered modifieds here in the states. Sprint cars have tube chassis, light weight drive and suspension components along with a wheelbase around 87 inches.
@@amc401nash6 As someone who actually races a modified, these don't look like any mod I've ever seen. Obviously they aren't exactly like a sprint car since they do appear to be based on a stock frame of some sort. If anything I guess they're some kind of bizarre mashup between stock car, modified, and sprint car.

In the States these are called midges (world of outlaws) dirt track cars. It’s awesome seeing drivers complete in different discipline.

Just re-watching this as it came up as a suggested video and it is brilliant to see F1 Grand Prix drivers having a blast round in F1 Stock Cars! My two favourite sports come together. It's so nice to see how happy they all were at the end they were all pumped up and buzzing. I think Hamilton and Verstappen should have a match race in F1 Stox 😊

I really wanted to see kubica come back. Was so happy when he got another chance. But unfortunately it's not been the fairytale and its sad to see him struggling like this (and I know this isn't F1).
yup but in F1 u dont have to spin the steering wheel as hard as in WRC racing or this stock cars. Still Kub used to race in WRC for some years with some successes and i bet it pays off now to have that kind of experiance in unpredictable Williams car. kudos for this guy, hes a racer to the bone

As an American racing fan these look more like sprint cars, as we call them. I'd like to see how they'd fare in a sprint car because it takes a lot of skill to wheel those things, and I think that they could potentially have the ability to do so. A stock car is something like a NASCAR race car or an American pavement late-model, as they take on the shape and construction of a street car. It's cool to see these guys doing fun things like this, especially Williams drivers because they haven't had any speed this year whatsoever. Hopefully they can improve as the season goes on 🏁
Ditech Cup Series Tom Harris has participated in the chili bowl a few times. But it’s a different game brisca f1 can use the front bumper....
