A: If changing between UEFI and Legacy didn't help or you could not make that change, move on and continue with the rest of the video. What was the result of the Toshiba diagnostic scan?
Q: What if none of the BIOS fixes worked and the diagnostic test shows my HDD to be healthy or I cannot run the test?
A: If none of the BIOS fixes worked for you or if you could not try them, and if the Diagnostic Test showed your HDD to be healthy or you could not run the diagnostic test, can you find any Repair or Restore options in BIOS? If not or if they didn not help, then you would move on and try a new install of your operating system as seen here in these videos;

A: If the HDD is ok, then your most likely looking at an Operating System (OS) issue. Try finding any 'Restore' or 'Repair' options in BIOS. If that does not help, try reinstalling the OS:

omg so far i put in for dummies Toshiba satellite laptop L305 missing BOOTMGR and looked at you video and it was helpful but doesn't turn on like it should still says BOOTMGR missing .So i will go to next step of your video. I got this from my sister in law and i have a HP but always like Toshiba satellite and want to use it. I had thought of going to geek squad but thought i am going to figure this out one way or another! thank you for your video

I have tried everything, i watched almost 20 videos. Somehow it doesn't help me, what should i do?

If I take hard drive out than put it back? Maybe it might work? Will my files still be on there?
Simply unplugging and then plugging in a HDD does not erase any DATA, assuming the HDD is good and the DATA is still good.

I went through this process. I changed my boot mode to CSM and it seemed to have worked at first but when my laptop turns on it now gives me the prompt “no bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key” and I have no idea what a boot disk is but it never gave me that prompt before? I also tried factory resetting and it won’t let me. It just infinitely beeps until I let go of 0, then when I let go it says the same thing. Boot device not found insert disk

Hello my friend. bit I have a Toshiba tecra z40-c computer and the bios version number is the same as the one you mentioned.
The boot menu opens on my computer, but it doesn't do anything. I cannot select the boot device, I cannot go to the settings section.
maybe you have an idea?

Toshiba NBA 3:05 - n 310 with Windows XP home edition installed screen is showing disc error press any key to restart when I do that it does the same thing

I dont have diagnostics testing nor do i have the boot mode option in any field... No secure boot option either!
My date and time was wrong - i updated it. Saved and restarted and still getting the no bootable device warning.. back into bios the date and time saved correctly. Also no option to getting rid of the last update....

it says everything is ok with the hard drive, reseated it, but it still breaks when i run a game, pc is overheated or when installing something big

No when I open the laptop sowing straight away to entre password ,it show toshiba logo and afte enter password. I had try all Fs to press but nothing happens
What if E drive is corrupt? I tried system restore command prompt rstuit.exe and after getting close it failed because driver E: was corrupted.
Blue screen of death was stop code critical process died
But start up failed saying "Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC Press "Advanced options" to try other options to repair your PC or "Shut down" to turn off your PC Log file: E:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.bt

Recovery on PC failed mutiple start. Operating system need to be repaired. Error code 0xc0000001

@PC_Monkey i have toshiba satellite c55-b5299 no diagnostics test. I fixed date once & haven't had to afterwards. If I try restore in command prompt it says D is corrupted than says E corrupted when I restore again but most of windows & programs are on D but when I try again switch E
Also I tried system restore day before this started and next day I got bsod

Hey PC monkey!! I was wondering if you could help me with my laptop its a Hp laptop 14 with a fixed battery and I’ve watched both of your videos on what to do with a laptop that doesn’t turn on unfortunately none of them worked, my laptop does not turn on but the indicators on the side turn on and when I plug it in the charging indicator turns (orange = charging) (white = powering on) and the power indicator turns off and on every 4 seconds. Do you have any idea as why this could be? And any solution perhaps?

Hey can you help? I dont have an OS in my hard drive, im trying to install it using a thumb drive. I have selected that the thumb drive should be the First to load in the os, but my pc is stack on the Lenovo logo and it won't start or display the installation dialog window. I tried taking the Hard drive into a separate pc but on the other pc it still stack on the PCs logo.
I watched your tuitorial on how i can fix this but nothing is working.

I changed the bios date and time, i reseated my hdd, i reseted the bios to default but still nothing is working. But when i remove the thumb drive, the pc says there is no OS and i should insert one... I have tried removing the hdd and turn it on again its says >>checking media presence..... And it says no os found
@@reviews5847 If you have tried all the steps seen here with no luck, and if the diagnostic test showed the computer to be healthy or if you were unable to run it for some reason, we would next try a new install of Windows. You can see how to do that here;

@@PC_Monkey i have tried turning on/off secure boot and changing the boot device from gpt/mbr but nothing is happened. The first time i was installing the OS it brought up an error of boot configuration data is missing... Found videos on how i can fix by going to the troubleshoot option after selecting my language and keyboard layout. But then after watching the tuitorial, tried to boot it again to go to troubleshoot thats when it stopped going past the lenovo logo.
Ps. Im using lenovo v50t desktop pc i5 10th gen with a 4gb ram 1tb hdd 2.90ghz processor
