It's funny.. even tho im not from north america, i feel genuine nostalgia about it, being brazilian almost all of our media and propaganda comes from the U.S., dont know how to feel about it, but song like these, and take me home almost makes me come to tears.
I've always felt that this soundtrack was just too short. Though I guess quality over quantity. Also, this was the first Fallout game I played. We have the ultimate edition and our old PS3 can barely run it but it's still amazing.
My PS3 was like the little engine that could, but I'll be damned if fallout didn't blow my fragile mind. I started gaming and the in the early PS2 days And my older brother had a PS1 with a lot of classics. When a friend of mine told me to pick up fallout he tried explaining it to me. I was playing Bioshock at the time and I was like wow that sounds right up my alley and he started mentioning the mechanics and I was like "yeah that's all in Bioshock it'll be just like Bioshock." I had no idea. I'd never played an RPG that allowed so much freedom, it was usual on-rails stuff like FFX and The only open world I got to mess around with was GTA so the idea that I could (nearly) off all the named NPCs was foreign af.
This music is so great, but when you're listening to Johnny Guitar for the 5th time in half an hour you wanna do Benny a favor and finish the job for him
@caseyburgers3535 nah man, when you play new vegas for 3000+ hours switching the radio doesn't do anything, ive made a 500 hour playlist of songs that fit the style because of this reason. You clearly haven't played for 6 hours straight 🤓
I played this soundtrack on an extensive roadtrip through the US and Canada a decade ago. Ever since this soundtrack gives me an unquenchable feeling of Fernweh.

I'm listening these songs and broke down crying, how nostalgic... I really miss that time when i didn't feel so overwhelmed by life and i just could zone out and enjoy an amazing game. It is also amazing to check the comments and seeing more people sharing my love for the game 🖤

I swear, hearing Mr. New Vegas saying the most wholesome stuff after killing a bunch of legionaries that Caesar sent to kill me, being almost death, seeking for a shelter on a hardcore playthrough is the most soothing thing ever The radio wouldn't be the same without his charisma and charm
i like how the two radio stations painted a picture of the two drastically different lifestyles the mojave had in store for people. one is the sound of leisure and decadence, the other is the sound of seeking and surviving. both are fun to shoot geckos in the head to too.

FNV had the best wasteland roaming songs. Other fallouts had better songs for chaotic gunfights but this game was the best for feelin like an apocalypse desperado wandering to the next town and the best job.

Each song brings back memories of a simpler time in life, wishing I could go back to that time & relive in those moments & cherish every minute of it. Definitely took a lot for granted then just wish I could go back & change everything.
