It snows WAY more in CA than where you are in Canada. Check out the giant sequioas sometime. In winter there is like 10' of snow there.
For the user profiles, does it give you the option to save separate seat and side mirror settings for each user?
Just updated my Telluride Night Fall Edition and really hate the new interface, especially the 3 panel home-screen. I am a UI/UX designer and our company rule of thumb is to not make BIG UI/UX changes. This new interface should have had user comments before releasing. Very easy to do screen shots for TH-cam or KIA Owners Site. I only wanted to update the map not the whole system. It took me forever to find how to change km/hr to mph, why in the world is that the default km/hr in the US? Very disappointed in KIA. Thank you for doing the video.

The reason I ask this is because I also have a new Kia Telluride 2022 Night Fall Edition and love the new interface on it, but hate dealing with different menus and settings when I switch cars. I wish they build a Manual version of the Stinger, just saying....

Is there any way to change the AM/FM radio display to something other than those lightbulbs that tell you the station you are on?
I found out I was expected to pay every month for that Sirius radio. Phooey on that!
Yeah, satellite radio isn't for everyone. I like it on a long road trip as you can tune in to almost any music that you want and never lose the station.
@@BrantfordKia - I was annoyed because they sold me something under false pretenses. They never told me I had to pay a subscription fee every month for the radio. That was one reason I didn't continue it .
So I just watched a video about updating the navigation software on a Kia. I am very familiar with these types of operations, but the guy doing the video never mentioned if the sd card that's in there can be removed. Is the head unit running off of that card or is the software installed on the head unit and the card can just be removed. When I get the new software on a new card, do I only have to switch the cards to load the new software? The other thing that concerns me is that apparently there are issues that pop up once you do an update. I have a 2018 Kia Optima SXL, my maps are already giving me issues, will those issues be replaced with new one?

I do have a question, I own a Kia eSoul 2020 and when I use Android auto [wireless with a dongle, works fine] the screen is only used for 2/3. 1/3 is used to display the name of my telephone and it seems it cannot be used for another item. Why does the screen next to the speedometer have the old orange color? Or can it still be updated to the purple color?
On newer cars, the screen has a complimentary look. I believe this was a car that we updated, and we can only update the central screen.

Is there a video on how to use the windshield wipers & radio for the 2021 Telluride EX FWD?
The windshield wipers should be pretty simple using the stalk to the right of the steering wheel. I could make a video on how to use the radio. I haven't yet because the software is going through a change in these vehicles, and some will have older software and others will have newer software.
Should be simple but I just traded a Mercedes 300 SUV for a nightfall, still learning how to use wipers, used to them turning on automatically. I incorrectly assumed intermittent was auto. But love my TELLURIDE anyway. Lol
@@MyCowboy2000 Yeah, I'm surprised that we don't put the auto wipers on every trim of the Telluride. That would seem to make sense to me! Enjoy your new ride! What a great vehicle!

I'm trying to figure out how to change the channel favorite order for Sirius. It seems to only sort in numerical order. I'd like my most used stations to be together...
That's something that I noticed as well on the latest software. I'm going to have to play around with it to see if I can find a way to reorganize things.

There is no factory option to do that.
Is the April update the "bad" one... or does that correct some of the complaints?
None of the updates are bad, but they are different and may take some time to get used to.
On my 20201 Kia Niro I would like the screen to return to what was on before I turned it off, i.e. radio playing split screen with compass. When I restart the car it defaults to a blank screen. Is there a way to have it return to what was showing when the car was turned off? Right now I press the radio button to get it back to where I want it. Thank you for any help.
In my experience, if I set the MAP on the 2/3 section and the RADIO on the 1/3 section, I can get that combination to show up every time I turn on the car. So I think that's the one to go with, you can swipe up or down on the 1/3 section to choose something else, but it sounds like you want to see the radio, so that's how I do it.

At this point, I don't think so. However, it's always possible that a future software update could bring it to those vehicles.
What is the backup system if, for some reason, the automatic key does not work?
You'll have to define what you mean by if the key doesn't work. If the battery in the fob goes low, you'll be warned about it several times, long before it's fully dead. Even if it's incredibly weak, you can still use the actual key built into the fob to get into the doors, and if you use the actual key fob to press the start button, the car will start, even with a weak key fob battery. Other than that, it's very similar to a regular key. If a regular key doesn't work, you'll need to work with your dealer. If this key doesn't work, same thing. The failure rate is extremely low with these types of things.

And sir when i use apple carplay, that time music and navigation are lo glitchy they lag and when ever i change my drive mode it take 3-4 seconds to show on the screen that the mode has been changed

3 to 4 seconds seems like a very long time. There is a slight delay, but it shouldn't be that long. Sometimes things can get glitchy with Apple CarPlay if you have a non-factory cord. I'm not sure. You may want to check with your dealer to make sure everything is working as it should.
I have a 2019 Kia Forte S… without the navigation- would I be able to update?
No, but you should be able to run Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which would give you mapping, and navigation. That's a standard feature in 2019

Most of this is relevant to the 2022 Kia Telluride, if not, you can search for videos titled something like "Kia Telluride what the other videos aren't showing you" on our channel, and that will give you some more tech to look at.
How do you make the mirrors fold in automatically
If your vehicle is equipped with the function, you can leave the switch just above the mirror adjuster in the AUTO setting, and they'll fold in when the vehicle locks.
Does this only affect the big screen? This will not affect my 2019 Kia Nero EV will it?
I haven't heard of it affecting the 8 inch screens. This was brought to my attention by Seltos owners with the 10.25 inch screen, although there was a commenter on here that said in Europe, he has a similar look to his Sportage.
I can't seem to link my uvo app to my user profile. Any idea why this may be?
Interesting. You may have to call Kia Canada's customer support line for this issue. UVO Intelligence is coordinated by them, and in some cases, the dealer can't fix the issues. I could be wrong, but without you stopping by our store and meeting with me, I can't be sure.
How do you change the colour of text in an electric car ?
I'm not sure that you can.
I just did a system and gps update to my 2020 soul ex. Now I noticed my speedometer shows km/hr instead of mph. How to I get it to MPH? I went in the instrument cluster and it did not give me that option.
There should be a menu in the SETTINGS - OTHER menu where you can change that.
You can also use the search key and look for km/hr and it will take you to where to change it. Took me forever to find it.
Why do all Kia stereos volume have to be turned so hi to here them my one is on 35 b4 you can here it and I've got good hearing can you upgrade speakers
I don't design them, I'm not sure.

@@fablan3308 I think it's different for each car. The 2022 Forte that I was in yesterday needed it much higher than some of the other vehicles that I've been in. It does give you a little more precise control. If you have 30 settings from normal volume to zero, or 7 volume settings, that does allow you to customize it, but again, I don't design these things, so I'm not sure why they do things the way they do with something like this.

What do you press if the phone rings?
Most people use the button on the steering wheel that looks like a telephone receiver, but when your phone rings, you'll also have the option of touching the center screen to answer the phone.

Can you put the map into dark mode only?
Oooh... interesting. I don't know if you can just change the map, but in the display settings you can choose day or night mode, and I would assume that would change the map to dark mode.
@@BrantfordKia that’s the thing. Ever since the update I can no longer do that in the display settings. I have a 2020 Kia telluride sx.
@@vbauer86 I just went out and played with the 2022 Telluride that we have here, and it's the same thing here. I don't see a way to make the change that you're looking for. I may have to play with things a little more, but as of now, I don't see a way to make that change.

I bought a Kia Niro and I like your videos. I live in sweden, so I think yuo talk a bit too fast. Maybe slow down 2-3% and I would have no problem listening to your information.

You talk too fast. How do I get maps to appear on the screen?
If you tap the map button, it will show up. You can also go to the home screen, and see the purpled out map on the right. If you tap that it will also show.
Not so fast, please.
You can make TH-cam videos by going up to the top R hand corner where you will see what looks like a little gear. Click onto this gear & a drop down menu will allow you to slow down the speed of the video or speed it up if you are intrested in a video playing faster.
