When I heard this for the first time in game I was like why is this so good??? I just standing about 10 minutes and listen to this masterpiece before I go.
Sadly, it's because the games (other than Nier and Automata) don't play very well as an actual game. In fact, I've never played Drakengard 1 or 3 because I knew I wouldn't enjoy the gameplay. However, the story and music for all of the Drakengard/Nier games are so good its worth it.

just started playing and couldve sworn this was in NieR or NieR Automata maybe it was just from a video explaining the lore
