There is no way she has the legal capacity to own those animals in this country without knowing what she’s doing. Getting animals to breed in captivity is not an easy task. As for her being at risk, the croc she’s handling is a freshwater crocodile, they don’t eat people. They’ll attack if they’re scared and cornered, that animal is in no distress. Despite what you might think crocodiles are not strictly solitary animals. There’s a lot of distinct body language and quite a lot of vocalisation that they use to communicate, they even cooperatively hunt from time to time. An animal raised in captivity in isolation from large numbers of its own kind isn’t going to know how to behave around its own kind. Crocodiles hatch in large groups and remain with their mother often for over a year, without that interaction it’s going to have a lot of trouble when it runs into its own kind and may get itself killed by a larger territorial croc. Then there’s the problem of these animals having come to associate humans with being fed. Freshwater crocs won’t eat people but there’s a lot of room for something to go wrong if they start approaching people in the wild. It is illegal to just release hand raised alligators and crocs into the wild both here and in the USA for a reason. You’ve got no idea what you’re talking about.
It’s natural for us to run around naked eating bugs and foraging for food by hand. Those crocs have free food, guaranteed mating and safety for their hatchlings, not to mention a warm lap to sleep on and clean water to swim in. While I agree they have a bad reputation, I'd rather swim with a great white than a saltier. Crocs and gators are truly predators. A shark would check you out, and 9 out of 10 find some prey it's more used too. But a hungry gator, it will come for you because you are meat, just like a pig or a deer. And the funny part is they are more docile than crocs. They are so good at hunting, they LITERALLY have barely changed their base form for millions of years. Crocodiles are my favorite animal, but you got me fucked up if I'd tangle with one 🤣!

God saves a place in heaven for people who care for animals on a level like this. She doesn't do this for thrills, or publicity, or millions of dollars. She honestly loves these animals more than herself probably. It's beautiful and I hope she inspires people to be aware, cautious, and safe if handling animals at home. Personally I don't think someone should have that many animals at their home but she's doing it right and working with what she can. I love this woman!

It's those deep rumbles they can emit. We can't exactly "hear" it, but we can feel it. It legit makes your hair stand on end. Not exactly the right name for it, but it works for her. Stay around an animal long enough and you can pick up on those little intricacies. Bless her heart.

Yes I do know what I’m talking about, this is Australia, not America, you cannot own a crocodile of any sort without being carefully checked out. There is no way she has the legal capacity to own those animals in this country without knowing what she’s doing. Getting animals to breed in captivity is not an easy task.
As for her being at risk, the croc she’s handling is a freshwater crocodile, they don’t eat people. They’ll attack if they’re scared and cornered, that animal is in no distress.
Despite what you might think crocodiles are not strictly solitary animals. There’s a lot of distinct body language and quite a lot of vocalisation that they use to communicate, they even cooperatively hunt from time to time. An animal raised in captivity in isolation from large numbers of its own kind isn’t going to know how to behave around its own kind. Crocodiles hatch in large groups and remain with their mother often for over a year, without that interaction it’s going to have a lot of trouble when it runs into its own kind and may get itself killed by a larger territorial croc.
Then there’s the problem of these animals having come to associate humans with being fed. Freshwater crocs won’t eat people but there’s a lot of room for something to go wrong if they start approaching people in the wild.
It is illegal to just release hand raised alligators and crocs into the wild both here and in the USA for a reason.

It’s natural for us to run around naked eating bugs and foraging for food by hand. Those crocs have free food, guaranteed mating and safety for their hatchlings, not to mention a warm lap to sleep on and clean water to swim in. I don’t know about you but I’m pretty damn happy about my unnatural warm bed and house and I would think they are too if they even bother to think about it.

@Mikhail they're both from the same order of _Crocodilia._ other than basic differences like shape and size, the only difference between gators and crocs are that gators live in freshwater and crocs live in salt. This isn't really a good way to distinguish the two because even the Nile crocodile is technically a freshwater species, yet we call it a croc.
