For untamed, I think u should use the ps3/360 versions when ranking this game. The two versions are WAYYYY different and the ps3/360 version is my fav game in the seriers
I've only played reflex and I have had it for 2 years but they just reversed and barely changed some maps. I don't like what they did to the one Supercross track where they took 1 turned it into 4, but The physics are amazing.
Update: Legends has released and like none of the bugs or issues I had have been fixed from pre launch. I would officially like to swap placement between Legends and Unleashed.

alive is still my fav game. i got SOO much memories on that track... and it's great physics imo it's better than the newest mx vs atv i feel lik it's more realistic
Mx vs Atv Unleashed was one of my favorite overall games! I loved the way they felt part of the world and the ragdoll. The ragdoll I could never get over, it was so awesome! I just don't think the other ones look as good in that aspect, they seem way too stiff. I would love an Unleashed remaster!
God, I loved Unleashed. It's the only one in the series that I've played. I remember not really playing the single player all that much, but multiplayer? I and my cousin would play it for hours. We made our own game modes with our own rules. It gave me some amazing memories.
Sick video, worth mentioning too that Rainbow Studios also made Motocross Madness for the PC in the late 90s/early 2000s. Really clear precursors to what would go on to become the MX Vs ATV series. Would highly recommend Motocross Madness 2
Also some of the games, such as ATV Offroad Fury 3 and 4 were developed by Climax, which also produced ATV Quad Rower Racing 2 and would later go on to develop Split/Second, honestly they had a lot of good racing games in their portfolio. It's a shame Disney shut them down just so they could claim the studio as a loss on their taxes
As a MX guy I never listened to the soundtrack, 1st thing I do is turn it off. I have all the MX vs ATV games but I didnt buy Legends. Didnt like All Out and Legends physics look very 2005ish.. Though Reflex was amazing to this day. I cant believe in 2022 we cant have a MX game that is actually good. Milestone games are soooo close but until they free up the physics I'll never buy another cookie cutter Milestone game. I'm a pretty simple guy, all I want is a Reflex 2.0. It can have generic bikes and gear, I don't care. Rather have great physics than to look pretty like a Milestone game. Shit give me a remaster of Reflex! The reviews on Steam killed me buying Legends because I was going to get it after work but it has mostly negative reviews! Happy my hopes were in check, actually I was never excited for another MX vs Atv game after Alive came out.
The PS2 version of Untamed is NOTHING like Untamed on the Xbox 360/PS3. The 360/PS3 version of Untamed is the best MX vs ATV ever released. It has a billion times more content than any other MX vs ATV, and all of it is fun

as a non gamer and somebody that doesn't keep up with new game systems and games. i really enjoyed unleashed when i was a kid. i used to race atvs so when this game came out it had actual real pro atv racers and actual atvs that were identical to what pros raced. i think that carried a lot of charm for me. to be able to race your hero's with there atv was sweet.
I remember playing the shit out of MX Unleashed as a kid, so I adore that game, then I later played Reflex as my next 'main' game in the series. My next game to try will definitely be MX vs ATV Unleashed, but Reflex really is unmatched.

I’ve played Max unleashed, reflex, and Alive and I do think reflex is the best out of the 3 but it’s so hard trying to maintain control of your vehicle. Also I wish reflex had mx unleashed’s career format where you go from last place to first by competing in championships, but everything else is really good(Yes I’m a NASCAR fan if you can’t tell by the pfp)
@@RedlineVelocity24 I'm just playin lol I loved reflex though, I sucked at first of course but after awhile it was and still is the best dirt bike game of all time and I think the bike handling is why. Plus being able to make your own roots and routes with defromable terrain. Loved it.

Great video my man!! One thing I will mention is that you were actually playing the inferior version of Untamted. The PS2 version is really unleashed.5 like you said it is but the Xbox 360 and PS3 release is a MASSIVELY different game due to the limitations of the PS2 at the time. When it comes to Supercross Encore I have to disagree and I think it's only because of how bad it was at launch and I think it taited my view on the game ever since, I remember all the outdoor tracks but 2 running like dog water and the tracks were just copy and paste from Alive and to me that just felt super lazy. Maybe I wanted new and original outdoor tracks but combining essentially 2 games with the *subjectively* inferior physics engine. Other than that I completely agree with everything else you said here. I love this series and I'm super passionate about it, again love the vid man glad this showed up in my recommended

I find it hilarious that the 4 wheeler riders lean left when taking a sharp right turn in MX VS ATV Legends. Like, thats not how you ride. How could they have gotten that so wrong?

When I was younger I played untamed like crazy, I was always a freestyle fanatic mostly because I watched red bull X-fighters which was a freestyle motocross competition. And I can still hear the song Happy in my head even now
Reflex was my childhood and I'll never forget it, its soundtrack was a thing of beauty and its physics, wonderment, that skillcheck, I'll hurt that guy who thought it up.
As far as the old "simulation rules!, arcade is trash!" argument goes... Without arcade we wouldn't have Mario, Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty, Skyrim, Zelda, Resident Evil, League of Legends, APEX, etc, etc. We would have almost nothing! There are good arcade games, and there are bad arcade games. Just like there are good sims and there are bad sims... Actually when they combine the two, those are some of my favorite games.
The choise with alive at the bottom was good. Spend full price back then - coming from ATV Quad Power Racing 2 & Unleashed a generation earlier, this was a hard disappointment. I had better spend my money with used copies of Fuel & Reflex
6:30 No Jonathan, I am NOT looking for realistic MX games. Games like MXGP and Monster Energy Drink Supercross are my least favorite games. And I am rating it as how much fun I get playing those games. The real reason why I bother with MX vs ATV is because those games are guaranteed arcade games (or sim-arcade). Adding sim racing to MX games destroys that aspect of "fun".

I can’t comment on those monster energy supercross games but I personally do not really like sim racing games in general outside of the GT games Forza and Dirt rally. It’s why mx vs atv is my favorite mx series and atv series but off-road fury is a close second. I’ve even looked at other arcade style racing game series on my channel if you are interested. I just came from iRacing and GT7 and got sick with those games because of how serious online can be and it creates things in your mind like anxiety and depression (I don't know about other people but for me it does) hence why I quit those games and decided to just have fun and play games like MX vs ATV and Rock Band.

Mx vs atv untamed is a little better now since there was an update for it a couple years ago Edit: we’ll my game is from the xbox so it might be different than the PlayStation

The first and only MX VS ATV game I've ever played was Unleashed. The first time I saw it was on a game trailer at some kid's party. You know, a trailer with a bunch of consoles onboard for people to play games. Mobile Gaming Truck. I enjoyed watching someone else playing it, but I never got to play it. Many years later, I found it on Xbox360 and I got it. It's fun but also actually hard. Screw the MX events man, that stuff is too hard ☠
I think MX vs atv legends is the best feeling game since reflex but also feels a little bit like mx vs atv untamed from the Xbox 360 with the graphics from all out that’s how I’d describe it and I wouldn’t recommend buying legends unless you’re willing to buy at least one real bike dlc
For untamed you need to play the xbox360 version. The entire game is 1000 times different from the ps2 one. I've never played a Mx vs ATV game more in my life. I actually completed the entire game and enjoyed every second!
While playing Unleashed. My brother's and I would pick the 50cc bikes and have monster truck AI on the old west short track map. we'd do that for hours.
I like super cross encore, my favorite is the tracks in a straight line, and the menu music is a banger, but I think you have them too much credit against Alive, almost if not all the nationals are the same tracks straight out of alive, and the same physics engine, plus the graphics are like the exact same. I also think that alive and encore both deserve credit for easily being the best graphically looking mx vs atv games to this day. Just saying, if your gonna stoop so low on alive, encore doesn’t deserve special treatment either.
Unleashed was best on PC. Custom graphics and gear, tracks, and physics like different sim physics, freestyle, and caffeine physics. And people would work on a custom track of a recent or future race of a real life motocross or supercross race. Really awesome stuff
why couldnt they just build off reflex , it was soo good , they had it and tossed it away , imagine relfex with better graphics , more tracks , fix the little stuff , it would be epic
I really wanted to understand why so many people love mx vs atv reflex. I had the physical media of the game for ps3, I played a lot and I have just the opposite experience. First, the pros: *the degradation of the dirt and sand is very good and realistic *We got a lot of different racing modes and variety *The reflex mode was a good refresh to the franchise and for the good of the physics. BUUUT, The Problems: * I thought the mx bike brand variety very poor, we have just a few types with different cc *GOD, THE PHYSICS... I don't understand why they do compliments about the physics, I swear, I only felt that the vehicle physics were good only for 250cc bikes. After unlocking the 450cc the physics just went nuts, every little rock and bump makes the vehicles fly like they're made of plastic! The bikes are a little less worse but the atvs, utvs and trucks are completely shit to control, every little change on the ground makes they fucking roll and fly. I really don't see where the physics do work in this game. * The soundtrack for me it's the worse of all mx vs atv saga. It's generic, it's repetitive, annoying and forgettable. Thats my vision of the game, I kinda agree with the fact that this game have a lot of things to do. But I think it had lesser content than the previous games, graphics could be more beautiful and the main thing: If the physics of this game were more grounded it could be the perfect game. But it wasn't. Not for me.
Atv offroad fury is my favorite video game series ever, i think they made 4 games in total and ive never found a better atv game EVER, you havent been truly scared until your in a free ride on the winter map on off-road fury 2, if youve played you know what im talking about
ATV Offroad Fury Pro for PSP is worth checking out. It has all vehicles not just motorcycles, with tons of content and you can upgrade your vehicles. My favorite atv game is atv offroad fury 2. It is king.
I agree with everything you said about alive yes dlc kinda killed the aspect of the game but the soundtrack i still listen too till this day! I wouldnt say its the best but definitely not mid
my list is last place legends, then all out, supercross, alive, untamed for ps3, unleashed, (mx bikes), (mx simulator), and best is reflex, i know the simulators dont really count but still, i will also note i didnt get to play legends that much yet because i havent had much time yet, but as of now i hate its guts
Reflex was of course the GOAT but I happened to really enjoy Supercross as well. There are things lacking in the game but I love the tracks and love the controls. I also love how much harder it is to win in the game. In Reflex a win isn't too hard on an SX track but in Supercross, some of those wins take time. I fantasize about Reflex having the controls of Supercross. What a game that would be! Does anyone happen to know what's available for DLC in MXVATV Supercross? If there are Reflex maps I will cry

For REAL. People always say Reflex is the goat, don’t get me wrong, they have good taste. But Untamed is the best.
The PS2 untamed for me is super fun I love the extra bonus tracks like the scrap yard and the national tracks had some of the best jumps

i have probably over 100-200 hours on ps4 encore and it is such a fun game to go in freeride maps with friends

Anyone know if you can steer with the pad vs stick in any current ATV/MX games? I don't like using both joysticks to steer- always enjoyed steering with the pad in the 1st few MX games. Thanks
I know reflex require two sticks, but not for the PSP.
Unleashed had everything the handling the soundtrack and tracks were so cool and I look to get it back over the newer games

Untamed on the ps3/360 is by far the best. So many hours in free ride on that one. Did you play this on a DS in this review? bc that’s not even close to what it looked like on 360.

I grew up playing Supercross on my PlayStation 4 after around eight years of playing it I checked the hours and I had well over 10,000 great game highly recommend

The first and only MX VS ATV game I've ever played was Unleashed. The first time I saw it was on a game trailer at some kid's party.
You know, a trailer with a bunch of consoles onboard for people to play games.

It's fun but also actually hard.

I think MX vs atv legends is the best feeling game since reflex but also feels a little bit like mx vs atv untamed from the Xbox 360 with the graphics from all out that’s how I’d describe it and I wouldn’t recommend buying legends unless you’re willing to buy at least one real bike dlc
For untamed you need to play the xbox360 version. The entire game is 1000 times different from the ps2 one. I've never played a Mx vs ATV game more in my life. I actually completed the entire game and enjoyed every second!
While playing Unleashed. My brother's and I would pick the 50cc bikes and have monster truck AI on the old west short track map. we'd do that for hours.
Reflex is my favorite one too. I loved the replay capabilities.
I like super cross encore, my favorite is the tracks in a straight line, and the menu music is a banger, but I think you have them too much credit against Alive, almost if not all the nationals are the same tracks straight out of alive, and the same physics engine, plus the graphics are like the exact same. I also think that alive and encore both deserve credit for easily being the best graphically looking mx vs atv games to this day. Just saying, if your gonna stoop so low on alive, encore doesn’t deserve special treatment either.
Unleashed was best on PC. Custom graphics and gear, tracks, and physics like different sim physics, freestyle, and caffeine physics. And people would work on a custom track of a recent or future race of a real life motocross or supercross race. Really awesome stuff
I remember playing ATV off-road fury, and I just picked up mx vs atv alive for $3.50 on ps3.
why couldnt they just build off reflex , it was soo good , they had it and tossed it away , imagine relfex with better graphics , more tracks , fix the little stuff , it would be epic
I do have all the off-road fury’s for my ps2 and it is always fun battleing my family to races
I really wanted to understand why so many people love mx vs atv reflex. I had the physical media of the game for ps3, I played a lot and I have just the opposite experience.
First, the pros:
*the degradation of the dirt and sand is very good and realistic
*We got a lot of different racing modes and variety
*The reflex mode was a good refresh to the franchise and for the good of the physics.
BUUUT, The Problems:
* I thought the mx bike brand variety very poor, we have just a few types with different cc
*GOD, THE PHYSICS... I don't understand why they do compliments about the physics, I swear, I only felt that the vehicle physics were good only for 250cc bikes. After unlocking the 450cc the physics just went nuts, every little rock and bump makes the vehicles fly like they're made of plastic! The bikes are a little less worse but the atvs, utvs and trucks are completely shit to control, every little change on the ground makes they fucking roll and fly. I really don't see where the physics do work in this game.
* The soundtrack for me it's the worse of all mx vs atv saga. It's generic, it's repetitive, annoying and forgettable.
Thats my vision of the game, I kinda agree with the fact that this game have a lot of things to do. But I think it had lesser content than the previous games, graphics could be more beautiful and the main thing: If the physics of this game were more grounded it could be the perfect game. But it wasn't. Not for me.
Atv offroad fury is my favorite video game series ever, i think they made 4 games in total and ive never found a better atv game EVER, you havent been truly scared until your in a free ride on the winter map on off-road fury 2, if youve played you know what im talking about

ATV Offroad Fury Pro for PSP is worth checking out. It has all vehicles not just motorcycles, with tons of content and you can upgrade your vehicles. My favorite atv game is atv offroad fury 2. It is king.

I grew up with untamed ps3 and it’s going to be my favorite racing game because I grew up with it
my list is last place legends, then all out, supercross, alive, untamed for ps3, unleashed, (mx bikes), (mx simulator), and best is reflex, i know the simulators dont really count but still, i will also note i didnt get to play legends that much yet because i havent had much time yet, but as of now i hate its guts
I like legends 🤷🏻♂️ but I’m having a bug were my bike engine just goes mute when I’m in free ride 😂😅

i enjoyed unleashed although that wasn't hard as it was the only one i played but i have found memories of playing this game and loved its soundtrack

Reflex was of course the GOAT but I happened to really enjoy Supercross as well. There are things lacking in the game but I love the tracks and love the controls. I also love how much harder it is to win in the game. In Reflex a win isn't too hard on an SX track but in Supercross, some of those wins take time. I fantasize about Reflex having the controls of Supercross. What a game that would be! Does anyone happen to know what's available for DLC in MXVATV Supercross? If there are Reflex maps I will cry

Alive is the best MX game ever. Legends is number 2 and reflex is 3. (James Stewart compound is hands down the best DLC ever for a MX game)
