Like 15 years ago, I’m at Foxwoods and my buddy who is at the same table, catches pocket aces twice in a row, I remember he made something like 500 between both hands. But after he caught rockets twice, the next hand, I caught rockets, I was stunned that it came up 3 hands in a row, but before the action came to me, someone else raises to 20, and the hand before me raises it up to 50. I called, one other person that limped in called as well. The original raiser goes all in, the hand before me calls, so I go all in for like an extra 30 bucks (I wasn’t having a good night), the one guy that limped and called the first round of raises calls that, and it gets back to the guy before me and he calls as well. It’s like an $800 pot. Before the flop comes, I flip my cards to show rockets, the next guy says fuck and shows ace king off suit, the original raiser shows pocket kings and the person before me shows ace king off suit. The flop was mid card rainbow, all different suits of middling numbered cards, I couldn’t believe, there was no shot at anyone catching anything. I’d never seen anything like that before or since. You don’t tend to remember solid hands that you win, but that was a wild hand. Ppl were complaining about rockets coming up 3 times in a row, they made the dealer get two new decks and casino wash both lol.

@@duncangreywater I don't get this idea that dealers are these poor put upon people barely making any kind of living. Assuming a $1 per hand is the typical tip, most dealers worth a damn can get out 20-30 hands per hour. So we're talking a $20 to $30 per hour job where you sit in an air conditioned room, dealing cards (don't even have to shuffle anymore, machine does that for you) and moving to a different table every 30 mins so you get to at least move around. And that's at the absolute bare minimum, most dealer friends I have easily clear $80k - $100k a year. Are their still annoying aspects to the job? Sure, without a doubt, it's customer service so you're going to deal with assholes occasionally, but is this exponentially worse than some desk job? Not really. A green bird on a big pot is more than enough. Do you get back the green bird when you lose a big pot? The dealer had no control over the outcome and will not compensate you for losses, this idea they should get tipped more for a larger pot is just retarded.
