If any of you install this (it is free on steam & gog) just make sure to download the version that matches the skyrim edition that you have. If you have Skyrim special edition and download the non-special edition Enderal it will say "content missing" or something along those lines.
I think what makes the story of Enderall so good is that the writers sure as hell took some philosophy classes if not actually majored in the subject. This is no usual fantasy "good people try to protect the world from the mustache-twirling Chaotic Evil antagonist who seeks to destroy the world out of spite". The overarching story is probably inspired by several philosophical concepts and thought experiments like Plato's Cave, Nietsche's Infinite Repetition and Panopticon Prison. As you go through the story of Enderall you discover that every character is very human, plagued by guilt or some memories from the past, trying to do what is right but are also deviating because of inner weakness etc. The antagonists are doing what they are doing for the "better good" and you are not sure whether you should actually fight them or join them instead. Etc etc.
One of my favorite RPGs ever! Skyrim's story and writing pales in comparison.
awesome
@@WolfheartFPS will you go live tonight?
The voice acting is good. Also, love the music. I've been considering playing this. Gonna give it a try.
Do it! This is a story that needs to be experienced blindly.
WORTH IT!
The lead writer (Nicolas Lietzau) also wrote a prequel novel about Jespar which I absolutely loved and is currently writing another one. I encourage everyone to check it out!
This makes me excited about Skyblivion coming out, sometime in the next 50 years.
Just a tip I wish I knew in advance. Go slow, don't rush the main quest, once it ends the game is over. You are warned in advance but all the content, side quests and complete map exploration is worth doing; I had to break immersion in the compelling main quest story and do a ton of stuff I thought I'd get to later. FYI Nicholas Lietzau, Enderal writer, was hired to write the Gothic remake. As far as I know he's still working on it, even though he's about to publish his 2nd Enderal prequel novel trilogy. The first novel was a deeply moving page turner that brought me to tears. As this game will show you, he's an amazing writer. The entire Sure AI team is extremely talented. Their Oblivion total conversion mod, Nehrim, is also available through Steam and is also terrific, set in the same world. Hope you continue streaming it.
oh my freaking lord!!! im playing this now for the second time, and it's life changing. glad to see you playing this Wolf
Awesome
Dude! SO PUMPED TO SEE YOU PLAY THIS!!!
The lore and level of detail in this game is fantastic. Really hope you play more of the game, I try to show it to as many people as I can, in my top 5 easily.
Played this to completion. It is so good amazing!
Moving around by sprinting and going from third to first and back too quick will mean you will miss so much in this game, that demands slow gameplay! And not bothering to skill up? I mean - he's an RPG expert, right?!
I played this mod after beating skyrim and in my opinion they made a way better main story than skyrim and I still remember how good my ending was!
Really hope you play this on stream. Would love to hear your thoughts as the game progresses. Cheers from Seoul !
I have to say that this is the only RPG I know (including Pillars, Baldur's Gate, Pathfinder, etc.) where it's worth reading the books. Some of them have very long stories, but they are relatable, personal and exciting. Especially the story that you also have to read as a quest (I've forgotten the name).
Sweet I'll keep that in mind
Sorry I missed this last night. All caught up in playing Mass Effect 2 Legendary.
Nice Harry. I still have to play that one
Do you get to the cloud district very often?...oh what am I thinking, of course you don't 😢
You should play this on stream
You know what, I haven't played this in years. Need to fix that on my long weekend.
Hell yeah
Wohooo this is one of my favourite videogames ever
Awesome to hear
It's kind of sad that this is so much better than base Skyrim.
A group of modders can make a lot more niche product than Bethesda. Just by the nature of being a big company with stocks etc. they are automatically forced to create products for as broad an audience as possible. I think CEOs and shareholders would not approve a story which is too complicated, serious and at times actually creepy as Enderall. The story of Enderall can be compared to real philosophical concepts like Panopticon Prison and Plato's Cave. It's simply way too complicated for an average person. TDLR: AAA will never be as deep and complicated as Enderall. Bethesda is more than capable of writing good stories and making deep RPG systems, it's enough to look at Morrowind. The story of this game is CRAZY. But they chose to make things simpler and more mainstream.
@@tihonannenkov4114 while I agree with most you are saying about AAA and complexity, most of the key people who made Morrowind are long gone from bethesda tho..
There is a HUGE disconnect between Morrowind and Starfield...
Bethesda is not capable of doing that any more.
@@balintszollar as a multimillion company they can hire any writer, its all about the wants other than the needs. FromSoftware literally hired G. R.R. Martin to write for them, CDPR worked with Sapkowski and both are apparently worth less than Bethesda according to a quick search
.
I didn't enjoy Skyrim, I loved Enderal.. for any doubters out there.
Found Skyrim had bit too much asset copy-paste if anyone wonders how I didn't like it & wasn't grabbed by the story, was fresh off New Vegas at the time.
Wheel of Time is better than LotR
whoa
This does not look like a big modpack. It needs 500+ reshades and skimpy packs
This is a total convergence mod. It's basically an entirely new game. New world, new lore, new story etc
@@WolfheartFPS You could use the Path of the Prophet Wabbajack mod list, though. It's a great way to enhance the graphics and UX.
