many cars have recently been sent out to undergo restoration (recently as in starting a few years ago) and before the scandal he actually ordered some pretty religious maintenance on many cars including sending them out of brunei to get work done. i personally love cars and had a small collection going starting from a long time ago but there was this period of time when my family was facing bankruptcy and i didn't have the time or the capital to take care of my cars resulting in some damage to them but i still love them and restored them immediately after i had the ability to do so, just like how jefri is doing right now.
the sultan's brother owns the cars. the sultan is only credited because he is the face of the royal family and the cars on paper belongs to the royal family not any individual. the sultan's brother and technical owner of the cars definitely cared for them before the scandal and if it wasn't for the scandal resulting in his inability to take care of the cars, he wouldn't have let those cars decay on purpose.
I don''t know how many youtubers there are you forgets about their project cars and let them sit and rot. They do care but they just don't have the time and the capacity
with so many vehicles he does not even have time to drive 10% of them, what is he supposed to do pay hundreds of people to daily drive them or something? 🤣
This is just sad to look at. So many cool and extremely rare cars all just rotting away and clearly owned by someone, who is just hoarding them for the sake of hoarding. I wish at least a part of them would get sold to collectors, who actually give a damn about these sick rides.
They were actually bought by the brother of the Sultan, who got later expelled of his position for mishandling money. The Sultan does not seem to care about cars that much. That explains the lack of maintenance and why only a few modern cars were added. Nowadays, it seems like the brother was allowed to return. The cars might be better taken care of now.
For those interested in the Aston Martins, you can find information on the one offs in the book Aston Martin: Power, Beauty and Soul. It’s very interesting
Its based on the r129 sl with a custom carbon body It also has a custom interior and a gas bottle that makes 5 meter tall flames It's actually one of the more elusive cars in the collection, we haven't heard much from it for 2 or so decades and there were only 2 pictures before the peak (both horrible quality)
The Ferrari F40's that he owns are mostly are right hand drive. Unique as the F40 never left the factory in that configuration. Also the Brunei's F40's are in different colours, again unique as all the F40's left the factory in only one colour, red. Pinifarina modified the Brunei's F40's after they left the factory. At least one of the Brunei's F40's has been sold, a yellow one in RHD.
About the Dauer 962's. There is only one known to reside outside Brunei. It is supposed to be in Norway or Sweden. It has carbon fiber body with yellow stripes. So called bumblebee Dauer.
Yes sorry, you're absolutely right. I blindly read the leaked folder, where they are labelled AMG Rally Car. No wonder I couldn't find much when I tried looking them up
All of these cars..and the nation is in shambles economically. The hydrocarbon sector, the only industry that fuelled the country's GDP, is now shrinking as Shell is about to leave Brunei soon. Lots of people in the oil and gas business are losing their jobs now and are scrambling to re-enter the local job market. I'm still baffled with the majority of local Bruneians who are so proud about the fact that the Sultan has thousands of cars, yet understand nothing that that the money he spent on all those cars could have been used to fix the country's economic diversity. Well, at the end, they're just gonna say "If you think you are smart enough, why don't you go and become a minister?" Oh Bruneians...
So, he has all these cars, and meanwhile, his people don’t have proper work or are struggling to make ends meet. How did he pay for all these cars with other people’s money? Especially since he isn’t even working? All those cars should be sold, and the money should be given to the people in need. He’s nothing but a crook. End of story.
Nonsense. I have been to Brunei twice and His Majesty looks after his small population of around 452,500. He built a state-of-the-art hospital for the people in the early '90s, and every Bruneian male is given a house by the state when he marries. Their GBP is USD 33,430 per capita, but the cost of living is low with a gallon of petrol around US$1.45, which is half the average price in the USA. Bruneians could not be happier.
@@patrickjean-philippe7679 If you are living in a place where the president has billions of dollars to his own name and owns major luxury items, all of which came from the people, and you are struggling-unless he created a business and made his own money, which he didn’t-then he has enriched himself off the backs of the people. The people are suppressed to have less, less than what they deserve. Someone in your own country, in charge, is stealing and taking from the people. Hopefully at least the major cars like the Mclarens and one off cars will go to the public one day but I would be sad if any of the Ferrari, Bentley and Aston Martin wagons end up being unsalvageable
the funny thing is that Brunei is very small and what he has spent on the cars he'll just let rot away would've made the country a decently developed country
I wonder how many of these cars are operational, I doubt they get regular maintenance, and Brunei is a very humid country, so I'm sure many of these cars are in air-conditioned garages, but probably most of them aren't.
its just sad like to a point where its not even cool anymore all these rare car prices are up so much cause of this mfker cause they will never come back into circulation atleast take care of them like bro doesnt do anything with them im surprised no one has visited this garage since these pictures were taken 10 years ago why how (how come no one have broken into the garages and taken pictures)
Fun fact, 98% of my viewers aren't subscribed. So if you find yourself watching two or three of my videos, please consider subscribing

Done!
He might have thousands of cars, but he's absolutely no car lover. A car lover wouldn't let his cars rot away in a garage like that.

They are. At least ferrari 456 wagon is sold to someone and saw in UK
This is the shortest, yet most extensive video I've seen of it. I thought it was just a couple of pictures

@@PParsasource?
@@HirschPower I saw it on Instagram, a couple of the F1s have also been sold over the years
Alhamdulillah after Sultan announce Brunei will be under Sharia law, 2 new oil fields were discovered
I’ve never wanted to have someone arrested over cars, but here I am
Bugatti eb110 with weird interior it's a reference to Volkswagen golf Harlequin
Feel like you glossed over that he has a BATMOBILE!!
That was no Batmobile sir, that was the Bruneimobile hence why it’s made from legitimate carbon fiber

Not 1 but 5 outside of Brunei.
8 F1’s, that’s $150,000,000 right there
Thank you for this leak!
Haha i cant take the credit for this, it leaked from an instagram that tried to have a monopoly on them. The full folder is in the description!

The first EB110 looks like its United Colors of Benetton inspired. I kinda dig it!😊
this is what they looked like 20 years ago, imagine how bad a state they are in now
I actually thought this was recent

He didn't buy all of them. It was his brother that spent excessive amounts of money, fraud

‘911 turbo with a testarossa body kit’ 😂😂
That 3 ``rally`` benzes are DTM cars, not rally. And I know in harddrive they are called ``rally``.
That 911 is a Gemballa version I think.
Yes, I think your right. Could almost make an entire video just talking about them
In Brunei we watch the cars during the ,50th jubilee parade and his children drive
