I've always loved this song since 2008 when I was 12, the clean intro is so iconic as is the rest of the song, one of the best post Black Album Metallica songs, plus I thought Jazz was the only hater 😂
for me, the problem with Death Magnetic and albums since as a whole is the relationship between James’ vocal range and the guitars… the decision to tune the guitars back up to E standard forces James to push his vocals to hit those notes and it sounds strained, in my opinion they should’ve stayed in the Eb tuning they used on the Load/Reload albums, sonically speaking those two are some of Metallic’s best sounding albums, that extra half step flat allows him to relax, “sit I t the pocket” so to speak.
Right? That's my thing with it, too. I know they wanted to go back to thrashy Metallica, and that meant playing in E standard, but they play all their thrashy stuff in E flat (and D/C# standard), so there's really no point for them to play standard in studio and half-step live. I don't listen to Megadeth or Exodus or all the other 80s thrash bands, but they're doing something right that Metallica isn't.
It's a good song, but it's obvious a copy of "One". They should have called it "Two". Even Rick Rubin said he wanted a continuation of Justice, so that's they made.
Dude, WTF?! It’s one of the best songs they’ve written in the last two decades. All my friends who love Metallica love that song. No idea who you’ve been talking to 😂
Well, it’s not really the music at all. It’s the lyrics. They’re negative lyrics and the overall lyric of the song is Too short and not sweet. One thing is for sure, though: this video definitely gives that song way more streaming counts on TH-cam music!
People hate The Day That Never Comes? That song is amazing!
same, never heard of that
@@tomasbeltran04050 Exactly
I love it too! Some people don’t give it the credit it’s due because it came out after the black album but I never heard anyone say they hate it.
that is exactly what i thought lol
Never ever heard about any hate towards this song
Never heard hate but a lot of fans underrate it because it came out after the Black Album. Not me though, I love it!
I was expecting "Am I Savage", or something. I've never heard hate towards this song.
The day that never comes! I love that Song came out at time when I was going through some tough period in my life and it helped me through it.
I dont know how anybody could hate this song. This whole album means so much to me.
I love the song
I don't think I've ever heard anyone hate on this song.
I had no idea people hate this song. This one’s one of my favorites the Metallica boys released
Maybe not hate but many will underrate it because it came out after the Black Album, not me though, I love it!
Love that song
Great song.
This song has become a staple live. I saw them in Phoenix and was bummed they didn't get to play it due to James having covid.

Apparently I’m not alone haha
It's my second favorite from the whole album, all nightmare long is da best though 🤘💀🤘
Dude that clean tone is on point, what are you using for your cleans?

I think most ppl love the day that never comes . For me its one lf the best they have written
That intro sounds like a chili peppers song. I remember being mortified hearing it back in 2008. Lars’ snare annoys me too.. I could go on haha
Kirks part is actually to me the best part of that intro lol.
Is this clean tone also from the St James plugin? 😃
I was expecting 2x4 I never knew ppl hate on tdtnc
People who hate the song are the same people who hate everything after Dyers Eve in the discography
I didn't realize there was hate this song fuckin rules very deep emotions James is expressing the drums are great to,
The only part I don't like are the lyrics "the sun will shine, this I swear". It's a little too cheerful for my taste lol I do like the song though
no man, kirks part on the intro is the best part. its simple, thats why its so good^^
Hate? Not at all!
It´s too classical or a pop-song. But I love it!
It's a good song, but it's obvious a copy of "One". They should have called it "Two".

One of the best Songs from Metallica in my opinion.
And Death Magnetic is way better than 72 Seasons (for me)
Who gives a shit what ppl think ?
