- Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has done it again. A controversial video of a cat being pinched by a crab, filmed seemingly for amusement, has been removed from Twitter... but not before Randy Bo Bandy shared it.
The executive came under fire for distributing an animal abuse video, and his justification comes off like it was written by auto-subtitle software.
Just the latest in a neverending list of controversially bizarre antics from gaming's strangest jester.

According to wikipedia, he's one of the founders, and listed elsewhere as president and CEO. But it looks like it's a "private company" meaning it's not publicly traded. It's probably a 'closely held' corporation meaning that a small number of people, including Randy, own shares and can't sell them except under particular circumstances. All this to say: There's probably no board of directors of other oversight body at Gearbox and if there was, Randy would probably control a huge share of that.

Yeah, I can't justify 40% of the sales going to this guy his investors. All the Devs who actually make the game combined probably get less than 1% of the sales, if they even make royalties, and if they haven't been fired or have their employment contracts expire before the game releases. Game looks good, but the money will go to Randy's bonus. I've never been this dis-excited for a good looking game. Good job, Randy!
50% discount minimum, 75% or more preferable, if not on Steam at all then it's black flag time. His bullshit cannot go without at least a slight punishment and the game itself deserves at least some positive reinf- hold on, wasn't Rancid the lead writer or at least the one with the final say on what's canon or not? Yeah, no, if the trend of cutting out tech from the story and saying "hey, that thing you're using is not canon!" continued then it's definitely 75% minimum and black flag until(and if) that happens.
