Awesome bro I like the look of the 11” dark smoked vented visor the best too. Me be in Australia if the road warrior wasn’t like $1000 I’d grab one for sure 👍
I once did a Trip with the original fairing of the Low rider s and got neck pain after a few hundred miles. Will this fairing get rid of all the tension you need to keep the head straight? I am asking because he speaks about buffering and then " get a smaller windshield to get clean air on the helmet". Is it back to full wind force on the helmet then?
@@Andreas-yt9wv so having ridden a few hundred miles with one now I can say that I've not had any major buffeting, there will be some slight buffeting if it's a windy day. I wear a full face helmet and have had no noticeable neck or shoulder pain during or after riding.
@@michaelmickelson6502 thanks for replying. I am more interested in the wind force on the helmet and if it reduces through such a small wind shield size. Your right though, buffeting is an issue and might be even worse than constantly pulling the head against the wind. I need to give this fairing a try!
@@Andreas-yt9wv overall I'd say the wind force on my head is greatly reduced, it still feels like I'm riding a bike. But I don't feel like my heads being pushed rearward.
Hey #PolkFam hope you doing well and that baby is doing well. I've been looking for this faring for a minute now and yet haven't bite the bullet but thanks to you I'm most def gonna get it even though i like my low rider s with the stock faring i just feel when I'm up in the 65 or 70 mph the wind is beating me up so THANK YOU for this review.
Yeah man! It’s great! But you have to fine tune with the correct windshield height to your height. Or the buffeting throws your head around like a bobble head in a monster truck. For me, lower height to get “clean wind”. For shorter people, they can prob run the 15 or 17 inch and get “in the bubble” of no air behind it.
I run a 9" non vented on my Road King Special and it seems to be pretty good. I get a little buffeting at 70+ but it's not bad, and I HATE buffeting. I'm not as tall as you, but that's only because I i have stupidly short legs lol. My torso is that of someone who's right 6'6" or 6'7" though. I find that the wind hits me right in the nose at average highway speeds. I kinda wish I went with the vented... i think that would make the little bit of difference I need
What riser setup do you have on that and what’s your height? I like that look and wanted to go for the 11” dark smoke keeping the gauge hidden from the front behind the windshield as you have it
@@DJBaySick yeah that should work for you. In my case, the lower the better as I get “clean air” vs choppy/turbulent. So it’s not blocked by any means.
I’d say 15 inch. However if you have a long torso, you may be in the same boat as me in needing a smaller (10 inch one) to let “clean” air hit you vs broken/turbulent.
@@i.j.aragon6946 I had to go 11 because of my height, I needed to get “clean” air. They say the windshield should be to the bridge of your nose when sitting. I’d say for you 13 or even 15 is the way to go!
11 inch. 100%. At 11 it doesn’t matter if it’s vented or not. You need “clean” air hitting your helmet directly vs choppy air cause by buffeting. With our height, even 17 inches isn’t high enough to stop it. And trust me, I tried every angle, and adjustment of the fairing lol.
@@chueb lmk if you get them or need help on the install. It was fairly easy! But, learn from my mistake and use a real torque wrench. Taking off the stock was SO HARD. The loctite has them on there SO HARD. I ended up stripping a stock bolt and had to drill it out. Took me an entire weekend and plenty of cuss words 😂

They sent me two to test out as well. Awesome customer service
They’re pretty awesome!
6'4 myself, I had planned to go with the 11" to begin with, but this video helped with the decision.

Yeah man, maybe? The “finding out how to eliminate wind buffeting” game is so annoying 😂
I made the mistake of going with 15" vented at 5'10. I'm going to give the 11" vented a shot to see if it helps at all.
It should for more clean air. I’ve been wanting to try a 15 inch to see how well it works lol. Happen to be around Florida? 😂
How did the 11inch work for you?

How tall riser &Handle bar thx
I believe they’re 12 inch. I’m not exactly sure Bc they were on the bike when I bought it.
I’m 5’10” what hight of windshield would you suggest? I’m looking at getting the road warrior for my street Bob, that’s how I came across your video.
