Here’s why you need to visit the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle

  • Okay fine, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle isn’t necessarily a secret but you should absolutely be going here over the “original” Starbucks in Pike Place. It’s one of six locations around the world, so you could say it’s eXcLuSivE. Other locations include New York City, Milan, Tokyo, Shanghai and Chicago.
Blocks away from the first location, this Reserve Roastery is like the OGs older, cooler sister. You know, the one that’s traveled across the world and returned home wiser and (impossibly) cooler than when she left? That’s the Reserve.
Expect drinks unlike any other Starbucks, freshly baked breads, Siphon coffee, a cold brew flight (10/10 recommend trying the whiskey barrel aged cold brew if nothing else), espresso flights, spritz’s… I mean, the list could go on. Plus, the menu is ever-changing so you really never know what you might find!
Fun fact: the beans that are roasted at each Starbucks Reserve Roastery are not roasted anywhere else… ever!
While it’s not the most inexpensive option, an espresso flight will set you back $15, it’s still a must see for all the coffee lovers out there.
The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, it smells delicious, coffee is quite literally running through the pipes (much like my veins), the environment was so thoughtfully designed- it’s a luxurious experience you simply can’t miss while visiting Seattle :)
