Best video I've watched in a very long time! As a miner for the last 7 years, I can appreciate your passion and empathize with how you are feeling right now. Mining is an emotional rollercoaster and even the best laid plans can be crushed by those unforseen variables which are impossible to predict. That being said, what you have dealt with over the last 2 years and the knowledge you have gained while building your dream is absolutely priceless in the long run. Best thing you can do is dust yourself off, get back on that horse, and get ready for the next crypto bull cycle. My biggest advice to you would be not to give up on your dream - Crypto is here to stay and the need for Miners will always be here. Also, be patient - remember the 4 year crypto cycle and use it to your advantage - this is not a sprint, this is a marathon....

The courage it took you to make this video is inspiring. I think any of us that are of a certain age and took a chance in life can relate as the timing doesn’t always work out. I remember starting a business and some life circumstances played out poorly and then my car broke down. I was down to sharing one car with my wife and then that car broke down and I didn’t really have the money to fix them. I literally felt the whole earth spinning in that moment and think I almost died instantly.

Bro, heart retching! SOOOOO real , we are all looking for that same dream and in this new space of crypto currency, WE CAN! I wish my electricity was only 14 cents, I live in California and my electricity in 39 cents, I had to shut everything down for a little while, thankful I have been able to expense my electricity through my LLC, I am lookin to move but I need a viable stream of income to qualify for a new home loan, which right now is NOT easy! I have Hodled everything, waiting for the next bull market, hopeful to be able to reap some profits and relocate to build bigger and better. I live in East Palestine Ohio, and well, Im sure you've seen the news. The whole train derailment thing happened, and its got us all questioning our futures because of it. But me, Im just gonna keep doing what I love and push forward no matter what. I don't let it get to me, but it will always be in the back of my mind. Keep on keepin' on man.

this is why I always keep my mining rig to one 30 amp 220 outlet. Growing beyond this just multiplies your problems. I personally keep it to 3 4U server cases. It keeps you small enough that you never get in over your head and you grow it by flipping out to better hardware and flipping coins in the market.

I feel your pain... I had the same hopes... Now I have 20k worth of aluminum doorstops... We got in too late... If your dreams are passive income... Look to vending/air pumps/ car wash... I had a small arcade machine route (in my mid 20's) More fun... Less risk... (More work also... Lol) The market got soft... But I never lost money...

You give ppl solid info man, its great! i appreciated those videos about how to program Overclocks into Nicehash so you don’t have to worry about MSI Afterburner. Thank you! For now my mining plan is to only run miners that are very energy efficient. Also want to acquire equipment right now. Miners that are currently mining at a loss, or preferably break-even mining (gpu & cpu). Reason for this is cost are still low while they’re not too profitable. ASIC prices too high. Theres too much focus on ASIC right now due to their daily profits (also too much competition for those profits. Everybody piling into ASIC for profitability & that is killing the profitability) So no ASIC’s for me now. I have seen your KA3 videos. Beautiful miners! but the hashrate increase has been disapointing. Thankfully my electric rate has come. At the time of my disaster it shot up to 0.147 cents, and now its down to $0.117 just under 12 cents. But now I know i cannot trust my electric rate & in my area we have 1 provider with no rate plan choices. So my success needs to come from energy efficient miners to reduce risk. I can relate and it takes courage to admit defeat but it takes balls to dust yourself off and keep on fighting for that dream. Amazing!! I just got into mining and it has not been easy, I jumped in with out really understanding what kind of electrical setup I needed to 4 my 4: 3080's and the 3 HS boxes. I finally am getting a 60amp installed in my garage. You message has given me alot to think about. I lost over 40 with my wallet getting hacked. So I just figured instead of taking chances on ICO's and presales, I'd just start mining instead. So ATM, I am mining Nexa on only 2; 3080's and I'm making about $2 a day. I plan to mine something else with the other 2 GPU'S and pick up a couple of used GPU'S to fill up the rack. Great video!!

Thank you so much for this video. I am setting up my first mining operation and you are the first one to be completely real an honest. I decided to set up 6500 watt solar system with battery storage and try mining. Sure is a lot complicated and to top everything off I tried buying Asics off Amazon and ended up with a few cases of water and a few hard drives so I only have some GPU rigs right now. I an discouraged at the moment but I see the future coming. I probably will play with emersion mining now just as I'm getting things up and running while equipment seems to be cheap and buy up what I can afford. Videos like this are really helpful as we are all in the same boat right now. I don't know my direction now because its the electric and heat I will have to solve but I do see mining as a safety net and a retirement plan for sure.

I think this Bear market is a great time to buy equipment, just take your time to decide whats best for you. I would not do emersion right away, because it adds complexity and extra expense that does not add to profitability. Its very easy to get carried away with big plans, so keep things small & simple in the beginning while you learn more about what works best for you 👍🏼
The feelz are realz. You can still swap your S17 pro for a good number of cpu miners. They've been profitable enough for me since the eth merge, but I'm still at 9 cents/kwh. Your will is your saving grace. Much respect my brother.

Ah thx for the kind comment man i appreciate it! I have some major insight & thoughts about “Mining-Competition” that I will be releasing soon (in my top 5 queue). Its much less risky to stay out of the mega farms way and let them have the ASICs. Also with more Profit-Switching pools that’ll pay you in whatever coin you want, theres less reason to be in ASICs. Dont allow emotions to overcome you men! Im miner and i pass all that you passed and nobody of us can not say that we didnt know that all this it was going to happened. I wasnt prepare for the bearmaket comming so kickly but when i had to start to do something and i manage to buy a solar system to my gpus and pay way more less that i was paying 0.18 peer kw and it hit me, i cannt lie but i never quit my job and pay all my loans on the bullmarket and after all that im still believing on cryptos and im shure that the time of goods profits is still to come! Never selled a single gpu and all that gpus still mining ergo and kaspa

I felt for you all the way through this video. I got misty, I ain't gonna lie. This is a dream I have as well, but I am working from a fixed income situation, and it always, always, always, frustrates me when I have to cash out earlier than I had planned and spend that little bit of earnings on something due to mistiming in my finances or other things that come up here at home. So, I get the struggle, even if it's not exactly the same. Thank you for sharing. :)

with mining ive learned that small operations are more successful than large ones because once the bear market hits, you might have to turn off. the more greedy you get, the easier it is to get rekt.
Thats 100% right man. Risk size & Farm size is very correlated. Lots of extra cost goes into scaling a farm. I've got a video planned on that topic. Thx for the comment!

I believe that all of us miners have been going through very difficult moments since ETH moved to PoS and at the same time prices collapsed. I don´t own a space to mine, I have to rent one and if you add the rental cost on the top of the electricity and maintenance cost, it all becomes a very hard fight to get to the end of the month. I´m based in Argentina and the cost of 0.055 cents/kwh have helped all of us here a lot, I won´t complain that much after seen this video, be strong Bro, it will get better sooner than later and if you need anything from me here in the south cone of America just give me a holler. Hang in there brother! We started the journey about the same time, for me it was July 2021. My story is like yours in some ways, but you have more invested and more challenges you've had to overcome. I stuck with GPUs (2GH Farm) and still mine at a loss, because I love it. I considered ASICs but the costs in hardware, wiring, electric costs, and heat/sound management turned me away from it. I plan to just chug along with what I have and see what the profits of the next bull run provide. I look forward to following your journey on TH-cam (which I hope helps you out). Keep it coming!

"Back in the day", when I stopped night time mining with my MacPro, it was because I decided that bit-dime a night (5 cents) wasn't worth the reboot time each morning before I got to coding on the machine... and I was worried at how hard it was working. I'm getting into Asic mining for the first time after learning lots during the last 2 cycles. Your video, along with others on TH-cam, have helped me learn how to start things up and avoid certain mistakes. Just bought 3 Antminer HS3s this month toward what feels to me like the later end of the bear market, but I'm planning to diversify more if things go well & to stop buying if prices go up. I feel like it's a good time for me to get started as we potentially approach the next cycle with Asic prices still low. Plan is to send them to a company that will host the space for me at a good rate so I don't have to deal with the heat, noise, or residential electricity rate. Hopefully that goes well, but worst case scenario, I don't mind paying off the $12k I spent if I get burnt. I've certainly made my fair share of big mistakes in the past and had some bad luck on top of that as well, but I picked everything up and here I am, ready to dive in again at this next venture.

Brother my situation is very similar to yours, i started later than you, in November 2021, though i was about to get a passive income, change somoethings in my life, i even move to another country for better eletric rates and renewable energy but so far i'm loosing... badly. Sounds like you had a really big learning experience. The power cost is what made the biggest dent in your plans, as well as the foot. You could break away from the power company to an extent bu planning in a healthy solar system with battery bank. Start small, very small and slowly build it up. Only use the grid power when the rates are low (depending if its flat rate, or time of day rate). Good luck it your journey, I will follow along as well.

Theres no better way to learn but by DOING and this... Well, it means making mistakes.. thats where the MOST valuable knowledge will come. The hurdles that come out of nowhere and that cant be predicted these will ALWAYS exist and while we may not have a crystal ball we can plan and mitigate the potential impact. i was wondering about the state of mining for a few days now and this morning YT delivered this to me. thanks for the perspective sir. ppl are saying btc goes back to 200k or higher, but it was still legal to trade in china back then, and there is still plenty of talk about other counties outlawing it or at the least least "know your customer" regulations coming into play. in general unregulated securities is bad. and the crypto market seems like folly with all the meme coins and naming conventions its hard for normal ppl to see any of it as being legitimate.
The Major World Economy has a ways to go before this Financial Bear Market is over. Here in the US it hasnt really even trickled down into the peoples economy yet. People talking about Banking collapse and hyperinflation USD again (sending Bitcoin to the Moon). This will be my 3rd Economic Bear Market now and the 1 thing I can tell you is, NOTHING happens as fast as people think it will. Timing is Everything. Blockchain Technology (the foundation of crypto) is 100% here to stay. The Banks MUST use it. They WANT to use it. Just from a profit and greed perspective, they want the technology so that they can cut out millions of middle-men from banking. Think of the hundreds of Billions of Dollars Banks around the world will save if Banking was written in code and Automated. Its all about Efficiency & Profits for Corporations, they cant resist. Whats happen in Crypto now, is a takeover plan. Gov's and Corporations have not been involved in Crypto and they feel the need to take control over it. Once they feel they have enough control over it, thats when Blaockchain software will have it praises sung (but not before that). Right now its all Crypto-Bad naritive from power structures. If you look into the software technology of crypto, and think about how useful it will be to have everything accounted for in real time. You begin to understand it is something the World NEEDS. Trust & Reliability are very scarce commodities in the world right now. Blockchain Ledger Technology can change that, & it will 🤜

Very similar story here buddy. January 2022, I dropped over $200k on Asics, power, and a shed only to watch it all burn in a similar fashion. I was able to mine a bit thru December/January/February of 2023 for minimal profits. This month I decided to take a stab at learning how to read candle charts and day trading coins. So far it's been successful with all the tools and bots out on the market now days. Embrace the suck and keep moving forward.

Never give up your passion if you can help it. Have you considered alternatives to offset the cost of mining? If you can find a way to sell your hashrate time and power to make a profit. Sell blocks of time at a premium either to get more coins or get more fiat. Very inspirational video

Hey man great video .. i started at the start of covid .. where i live i dont pay for electricity.. its all inclusive rent..so its always profitable.. i expanded to 25 gpus at one point .. but eventually my landlord complained about the power i was using .. so had to sell most of my rigs and gpus .. it was hard . I ended up keeping 1x rig i have yet to turn off .. maybe my best rig .. i invisted 12k at the time in this rig ... geeze thinking about it now its crazy .. but 4x 3090s new i bought from the stores .. and they have been running for over 2 years straight now! But after having 2x kids and my wife complaining about them .. they are all gone but my 1x 3090 rig.

Oh man. I literally feel your pain. Almost the same exact story. ( smaller level) started injured and it was a good past time.......the bull run ran and so did I until I've moved it 3 times and my electricity tripled. It's ll packed up now waiting till I can get solar. Still paying credit cards and past bills. Ive trimmed all the fat off but Just can't sell the equipment 😢😢.

yeah electricity eats into profits and that's an external factor. this australian guy (on youtube) building his entire farm in australian desert with solar panels. so if he did his math, the solar panels can power the mining equipment and his cooling equipment. then the dependency on power companies is much reduced.
Yup! What I didnt factor is that in all my life, I never had a electric rate increase anything as bad as when I was mining. With only a ASIC mining operation, it distroyed any hope of profit at the time. Thankfully now my rate is lower again, but I know I cant trust it anymore. I've been into the idea of Solar for awhile, and with GPU & CPU mining it could work. Not having to be reliant on electric companies makes it a whole new game!

its very sad to hear your story, one think i must say, it was NOT all your fault or mistake. You have tried and failed the biggest problem was your electric rate first of all then also , crypto winter, and then you broke your leg so all together you still survived. Dont give up on your dreams, think again do a better plan and consider all posibilities. i do sit on a massive dept for my self but thank god my own work pays of for everything so i dont have to worry about crypto tanking or not. Started as a quick make money scheme for me and become a passion project, now with 65 GPU's (very high end gpu's) i have a massive farm i couldnt even imagine i could have do this much. Thankfully my electric is almost free from my work contracts. Othervise i couldnt have survive this bear market + eth pos. nice video!

Woof, that's a lot. I had no funds to start when I did back in May of '21, I just decided to use my gaming computer to mine ETH part time. The biggest risk I took was putting about $1300 on my credit card for two GPUs, and I had to use the earnings to pay them off. So crypto paid for my entire mine. After the ETH merge I was done since my electricity was already $0.15 kwh, and now it's $0.17. I've gotten a few raises since I started and I've decided to start up again and I even added a 4th GPU. I'm mining at a loss, and forever will be until a coin comes along that hits the $1000 range again, I'm mining and getting paid in BTC right now, saving up for the rally, and hoping for $50K.
Hey man I think thats awesome really. You basically got zero risk into it & if you’re holding the BTC youve been ming this whole time, I have ZERO doubts you’ll come out on time. most my miners (the few I have) are getting paid out in BTC too. Its a solid way to go. Keep with it Brother! 💪🏼

Man, I ran the same cycle BUT, my power is only 5.8c, we live in Canada and use the heat from the miners to heat buildings during the winter season, and I write off the electricity cost against my profitable grain farm business that needs the expense. The unfortunate thing is ASIC's for the little guy I think is over. Better off just investing in the coin.

Best video I've watched in a very long time! As a miner for the last 7 years, I can appreciate your passion and empathize with how you are feeling right now. Mining is an emotional rollercoaster and even the best laid plans can be crushed by those unforseen variables which are impossible to predict. That being said, what you have dealt with over the last 2 years and the knowledge you have gained while building your dream is absolutely priceless in the long run. Best thing you can do is dust yourself off, get back on that horse, and get ready for the next crypto bull cycle. My biggest advice to you would be not to give up on your dream - Crypto is here to stay and the need for Miners will always be here. Also, be patient - remember the 4 year crypto cycle and use it to your advantage - this is not a sprint, this is a marathon....

The courage it took you to make this video is inspiring. I think any of us that are of a certain age and took a chance in life can relate as the timing doesn’t always work out. I remember starting a business and some life circumstances played out poorly and then my car broke down. I was down to sharing one car with my wife and then that car broke down and I didn’t really have the money to fix them. I literally felt the whole earth spinning in that moment and think I almost died instantly.

I wish my electricity was only 14 cents, I live in California and my electricity in 39 cents, I had to shut everything down for a little while, thankful I have been able to expense my electricity through my LLC, I am lookin to move but I need a viable stream of income to qualify for a new home loan, which right now is NOT easy! this is why I always keep my mining rig to one 30 amp 220 outlet.
Growing beyond this just multiplies your problems.
I personally keep it to 3 4U server cases.
It keeps you small enough that you never get in over your head and you grow it by flipping out to better hardware and flipping coins in the market.

For now my mining plan is to only run miners that are very energy efficient. Also want to acquire equipment right now. Miners that are currently mining at a loss, or preferably break-even mining (gpu & cpu). Reason for this is cost are still low while they’re not too profitable. ASIC prices too high. Theres too much focus on ASIC right now due to their daily profits (also too much competition for those profits. Everybody piling into ASIC for profitability & that is killing the profitability) So no ASIC’s for me now. I have seen your KA3 videos. Beautiful miners! but the hashrate increase has been disapointing.
Thankfully my electric rate has come. At the time of my disaster it shot up to 0.147 cents, and now its down to $0.117 just under 12 cents. But now I know i cannot trust my electric rate & in my area we have 1 provider with no rate plan choices. So my success needs to come from energy efficient miners to reduce risk.

I can relate and it takes courage to admit defeat but it takes balls to dust yourself off and keep on fighting for that dream. Amazing!! I just got into mining and it has not been easy, I jumped in with out really understanding what kind of electrical setup I needed to 4 my 4: 3080's and the 3 HS boxes.
I finally am getting a 60amp installed in my garage. You message has given me alot to think about. I lost over 40 with my wallet getting hacked. So I just figured instead of taking chances on ICO's and presales, I'd just start mining instead. So ATM, I am mining Nexa on only 2; 3080's and I'm making about $2 a day. I plan to mine something else with the other 2 GPU'S and pick up a couple of used GPU'S to fill up the rack. Great video!!

Sure is a lot complicated and to top everything off I tried buying Asics off Amazon and ended up with a few cases of water and a few hard drives so I only have some GPU rigs right now. I an discouraged at the moment but I see the future coming. I probably will play with emersion mining now just as I'm getting things up and running while equipment seems to be cheap and buy up what I can afford. Videos like this are really helpful as we are all in the same boat right now. I don't know my direction now because its the electric and heat I will have to solve but I do see mining as a safety net and a retirement plan for sure.

I think this Bear market is a great time to buy equipment, just take your time to decide whats best for you. I would not do emersion right away, because it adds complexity and extra expense that does not add to profitability. Its very easy to get carried away with big plans, so keep things small & simple in the beginning while you learn more about what works best for you 👍🏼
The feelz are realz. You can still swap your S17 pro for a good number of cpu miners. They've been profitable enough for me since the eth merge, but I'm still at 9 cents/kwh. Your will is your saving grace. Much respect my brother.

Ah thx for the kind comment man i appreciate it! I have some major insight & thoughts about “Mining-Competition” that I will be releasing soon (in my top 5 queue). Its much less risky to stay out of the mega farms way and let them have the ASICs. Also with more Profit-Switching pools that’ll pay you in whatever coin you want, theres less reason to be in ASICs. Dont allow emotions to overcome you men! Im miner and i pass all that you passed and nobody of us can not say that we didnt know that all this it was going to happened. I wasnt prepare for the bearmaket comming so kickly but when i had to start to do something and i manage to buy a solar system to my gpus and pay way more less that i was paying 0.18 peer kw and it hit me, i cannt lie but i never quit my job and pay all my loans on the bullmarket and after all that im still believing on cryptos and im shure that the time of goods profits is still to come! Never selled a single gpu and all that gpus still mining ergo and kaspa

This is a dream I have as well, but I am working from a fixed income situation, and it always, always, always, frustrates me when I have to cash out earlier than I had planned and spend that little bit of earnings on something due to mistiming in my finances or other things that come up here at home. So, I get the struggle, even if it's not exactly the same. Thank you for sharing. :)

with mining ive learned that small operations are more successful than large ones because once the bear market hits, you might have to turn off. the more greedy you get, the easier it is to get rekt.
Thats 100% right man. Risk size & Farm size is very correlated. Lots of extra cost goes into scaling a farm. I've got a video planned on that topic. Thx for the comment!

I believe that all of us miners have been going through very difficult moments since ETH moved to PoS and at the same time prices collapsed. I don´t own a space to mine, I have to rent one and if you add the rental cost on the top of the electricity and maintenance cost, it all becomes a very hard fight to get to the end of the month.
I´m based in Argentina and the cost of 0.055 cents/kwh have helped all of us here a lot, I won´t complain that much after seen this video, be strong Bro, it will get better sooner than later and if you need anything from me here in the south cone of America just give me a holler. Hang in there brother! We started the journey about the same time, for me it was July 2021. My story is like yours in some ways, but you have more invested and more challenges you've had to overcome. I stuck with GPUs (2GH Farm) and still mine at a loss, because I love it. I considered ASICs but the costs in hardware, wiring, electric costs, and heat/sound management turned me away from it. I plan to just chug along with what I have and see what the profits of the next bull run provide. I look forward to following your journey on TH-cam (which I hope helps you out). Keep it coming!

"Back in the day", when I stopped night time mining with my MacPro, it was because I decided that bit-dime a night (5 cents) wasn't worth the reboot time each morning before I got to coding on the machine... and I was worried at how hard it was working. I'm getting into Asic mining for the first time after learning lots during the last 2 cycles. Your video, along with others on TH-cam, have helped me learn how to start things up and avoid certain mistakes. Just bought 3 Antminer HS3s this month toward what feels to me like the later end of the bear market, but I'm planning to diversify more if things go well & to stop buying if prices go up. I feel like it's a good time for me to get started as we potentially approach the next cycle with Asic prices still low. Plan is to send them to a company that will host the space for me at a good rate so I don't have to deal with the heat, noise, or residential electricity rate. Hopefully that goes well, but worst case scenario, I don't mind paying off the $12k I spent if I get burnt. I've certainly made my fair share of big mistakes in the past and had some bad luck on top of that as well, but I picked everything up and here I am, ready to dive in again at this next venture.
Thats awesome man! im right along with you! you can learn just about anything mining on TH-cam. Years ago i would use YT by searching specific questions and it helped a ton. Now days is ever better!
Brother my situation is very similar to yours, i started later than you, in November 2021, though i was about to get a passive income, change somoethings in my life, i even move to another country for better eletric rates and renewable energy but so far i'm loosing... badly. Sounds like you had a really big learning experience. The power cost is what made the biggest dent in your plans, as well as the foot. You could break away from the power company to an extent bu planning in a healthy solar system with battery bank. Start small, very small and slowly build it up. Only use the grid power when the rates are low (depending if its flat rate, or time of day rate). Good luck it your journey, I will follow along as well.

Some Solar has been on my mind since the very beginning, its especially interesting idea for more efficient miners like CPU & GPU (don't think its good for ASIC). Theres no better way to learn but by DOING and this... Well, it means making mistakes.. thats where the MOST valuable knowledge will come. The hurdles that come out of nowhere and that cant be predicted these will ALWAYS exist and while we may not have a crystal ball we can plan and mitigate the potential impact. (to some degree)

i was wondering about the state of mining for a few days now and this morning YT delivered this to me. thanks for the perspective sir. ppl are saying btc goes back to 200k or higher, but it was still legal to trade in china back then, and there is still plenty of talk about other counties outlawing it or at the least least "know your customer" regulations coming into play. in general unregulated securities is bad. and the crypto market seems like folly with all the meme coins and naming conventions its hard for normal ppl to see any of it as being legitimate.
The Major World Economy has a ways to go before this Financial Bear Market is over. Here in the US it hasnt really even trickled down into the peoples economy yet. People talking about Banking collapse and hyperinflation USD again (sending Bitcoin to the Moon). This will be my 3rd Economic Bear Market now and the 1 thing I can tell you is, NOTHING happens as fast as people think it will. Timing is Everything. Blockchain Technology (the foundation of crypto) is 100% here to stay. The Banks MUST use it. They WANT to use it. Just from a profit and greed perspective, they want the technology so that they can cut out millions of middle-men from banking. Think of the hundreds of Billions of Dollars Banks around the world will save if Banking was written in code and Automated. Its all about Efficiency & Profits for Corporations, they cant resist. Whats happen in Crypto now, is a takeover plan. Gov's and Corporations have not been involved in Crypto and they feel the need to take control over it. Once they feel they have enough control over it, thats when Blaockchain software will have it praises sung (but not before that). Right now its all Crypto-Bad naritive from power structures. If you look into the software technology of crypto, and think about how useful it will be to have everything accounted for in real time. You begin to understand it is something the World NEEDS. Trust & Reliability are very scarce commodities in the world right now. Blockchain Ledger Technology can change that, & it will 🤜

Very similar story here buddy. January 2022, I dropped over $200k on Asics, power, and a shed only to watch it all burn in a similar fashion. I was able to mine a bit thru December/January/February of 2023 for minimal profits. This month I decided to take a stab at learning how to read candle charts and day trading coins. So far it's been successful with all the tools and bots out on the market now days. Embrace the suck and keep moving forward.

Never give up your passion if you can help it. Have you considered alternatives to offset the cost of mining? If you can find a way to sell your hashrate time and power to make a profit. Sell blocks of time at a premium either to get more coins or get more fiat. Very inspirational video

Hey man great video .. i started at the start of covid .. where i live i dont pay for electricity.. its all inclusive rent..so its always profitable.. i expanded to 25 gpus at one point .. but eventually my landlord complained about the power i was using .. so had to sell most of my rigs and gpus .. it was hard . I ended up keeping 1x rig i have yet to turn off .. maybe my best rig .. i invisted 12k at the time in this rig ... geeze thinking about it now its crazy .. but 4x 3090s new i bought from the stores .. and they have been running for over 2 years straight now! But after having 2x kids and my wife complaining about them .. they are all gone but my 1x 3090 rig.

Oh man. I literally feel your pain. Almost the same exact story. ( smaller level) started injured and it was a good past time.......the bull run ran and so did I until I've moved it 3 times and my electricity tripled. It's ll packed up now waiting till I can get solar. Still paying credit cards and past bills. Ive trimmed all the fat off but Just can't sell the equipment 😢😢.

Yeah I feel ya man, its was a rough time. Although now that Ive been mining again, its nice. My farm is nowhere near the size it use to be, but im building back & feeling some success again. yeah electricity eats into profits and that's an external factor. this australian guy (on youtube) building his entire farm in australian desert with solar panels. so if he did his math, the solar panels can power the mining equipment and his cooling equipment. then the dependency on power companies is much reduced.
Yup! What I didnt factor is that in all my life, I never had a electric rate increase anything as bad as when I was mining. With only a ASIC mining operation, it distroyed any hope of profit at the time. Thankfully now my rate is lower again, but I know I cant trust it anymore. I've been into the idea of Solar for awhile, and with GPU & CPU mining it could work. Not having to be reliant on electric companies makes it a whole new game!

its very sad to hear your story, one think i must say, it was NOT all your fault or mistake. You have tried and failed the biggest problem was your electric rate first of all then also , crypto winter, and then you broke your leg so all together you still survived. Dont give up on your dreams, think again do a better plan and consider all posibilities. i do sit on a massive dept for my self but thank god my own work pays of for everything so i dont have to worry about crypto tanking or not. Started as a quick make money scheme for me and become a passion project, now with 65 GPU's (very high end gpu's) i have a massive farm i couldnt even imagine i could have do this much. Thankfully my electric is almost free from my work contracts. Othervise i couldnt have survive this bear market + eth pos. nice video!

Woof, that's a lot. I had no funds to start when I did back in May of '21, I just decided to use my gaming computer to mine ETH part time. The biggest risk I took was putting about $1300 on my credit card for two GPUs, and I had to use the earnings to pay them off. So crypto paid for my entire mine. After the ETH merge I was done since my electricity was already $0.15 kwh, and now it's $0.17. I've gotten a few raises since I started and I've decided to start up again and I even added a 4th GPU. I'm mining at a loss, and forever will be until a coin comes along that hits the $1000 range again, I'm mining and getting paid in BTC right now, saving up for the rally, and hoping for $50K.
Hey man I think thats awesome really. You basically got zero risk into it & if you’re holding the BTC youve been ming this whole time, I have ZERO doubts you’ll come out on time. most my miners (the few I have) are getting paid out in BTC too. Its a solid way to go. Keep with it Brother! 💪🏼

Man, I ran the same cycle BUT, my power is only 5.8c, we live in Canada and use the heat from the miners to heat buildings during the winter season, and I write off the electricity cost against my profitable grain farm business that needs the expense.
The unfortunate thing is ASIC's for the little guy I think is over. Better off just investing in the coin.
