Nice video for Australian GladFans! Happy to confirm you have a full set of Gladiators Australia figures that were produced: Commando, Condor, Cougar, Hammer, Taipan, Tower, Vulcan and Challenger. We have documentation of concepts for a female Gladiator to be released but it didn't happen. These figures used the same molds that were used originally for the UK Gladiators toy set (which did have female action figures) and produced by Hornby. They also sold the molds to the American (Irwin version, not Mattel) and Finnish Gladiators series too.
Thank you! Oh wow, so I can call off the search for more then haha!😉 That's incredible, I'd love to see some photos or further info on the concepts for the female Australian Gladiator if there's somewhere we can see this? Thanks so much for the awesome info!
Great episode Scott. I loved Gladiator in all its iterations. Just fun stuff. This was my first time hearing of Australian Gladiators. Great stuff buddy. 😊😊🙏🙏👊👊
Great stuff fellas, was a big fan of all the versions of Gladiators 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇦🇺 Was a seamless transition from the WWF once I’d outgrown that. Love the goods draw, good fun 😎🤼
Thanks heaps Phil! Exactly, it was a perfect extension of wrestling and came at the time when I was starting to lose a bit of interest in the WWF, so I loved it!
Great stuff gentlemen! Gladiators was AWESOME! Vulcan was the Heavyweight wrestling champion of Australia at the time and became a Bond Villian, I mean, what MORE could you ask for?! The only issue with the figures is the repainted heads…. The Vulcan looks like Mr Miyagi and Typan, woof! Not even close! He had a fantastic head of hair with a great hairline and what that figure has…. Is none of that! These came close to scaling with Hasbros and would occasionally do jobs as a tag team when I wanted to freshen up a new set of heals as a kid
Thanks Adam! It makes so much sense that Vulcan was a wrestler, he out of all of them really understood the assignment. He wasn't just an athlete, but a character. It's almost a relief that the figures were UK Gladiators repaints, otherwise the likenesses (or lack thereof) would be inexcusable! That's awesome you had some of these and mixed them with the Hasbros!
Very awesome video! I had a Gladiators show bag from the Brisbane Exhibition, and still have that exact drink bottle with me now. Wish more had survived!
Thank you! Oh wow, I would have loved to score a Gladiators showbag back in the day! It's a shame some of the merchandise wasn't really designed to last, but it's cool you still have the drink bottle!
Great video made. Learned about the US version through the Netflix special. Didn't see the show back then but totally get the cool appeal this show had. Love it
Great video Scott! I think dean should totally open and blow up the duelling sticks and display them! They’d look awesome, the draft is a really neat idea too!😊
I had the Duel set, which came with that exact Taipan and I think also Vulcan. It always bothered me as a kid that the Taipan toy's hair was way too short 😅
They definitely missed something the fact the cougar wasn’t one of the female gladiators. Also what they should have done is given one a thunder cats style name like panthro so he could talk about being the thunder from down under and the brains of the groups .
That dumbbell drink bottle is so cool! Great pick up, and what a fun way to collect! 👏
I know right, such a cool piece! Cheers brother!

I remember sitting down with the whole family to watch Gladiators, so good
Likewise Matty, it was fun for the whole family!
That’s so sick! Always amazing/surprising what people have kept away! Keeps us always hungry for more!
100% dude, can't believe all the merch survived, especially sealed!!
WOW!!! That's such an incredible lot of cool merch, I would open the items in sealed bags. 💪🤓
I'm pleased to confirm that Dean has already opened up the sealed goodies!💪
Cool little draft Scott. 😁Very nostalgic for Gladiators. I have found a few loose in dig bins. Thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching mate! Yeah I've found my loose figures in rummage tubs at toy fairs, but these are the first carded figs for my collection!
Wow ❤
Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed!😄

Thanks heaps Gary, I appreciate the kind words mate!🙏👊

Great video mate. We definitely watched gladiators as a family back in the day!
Thanks Nate!! Same here mate, must-see Saturday night family viewing!📺
Awesome video Scott 😎
Thanks Jul!
What a fun day that was, great episode mate, I hope one day we find out what figures were released by corner. Gladiators!!!
I appreciate that mate! Now the search begins for our next joint toy purchase!🔎
Great video made. Learned about the US version through the Netflix special. Didn't see the show back then but totally get the cool appeal this show had. Love it
I was hoping there may have been a Dutch version of the Gladiators! Thanks Chris, I appreciate it mate!

Thanks heaps Jon! I'm pleased to confirm that Dean has opened up the dueling sticks, and we may or may not duel it out with them!😂
@@ScottCrusher awesome!!😜
Great job Scott I haven’t heard about gladiators before but it looks awesome and keep up the amazing work
Thanks dude! Most episodes are on TH-cam in full, worth checking out if you're keen on a trip back to the mid-90s!😊
Hello from the UK
G'day!👋😁
I had the Duel set, which came with that exact Taipan and I think also Vulcan. It always bothered me as a kid that the Taipan toy's hair was way too short 😅
I'd love to track down one of the playsets to display with the figures! Likewise with Vulcan, his figure doesn't exactly get the hair right either!😅
I think I used to have Taipan and Tower and the challengers, Vulcan is still doing well at his Wrestling school in Menai
Great to hear Vulcan is still supporting the Aussie wrestling scene!
I feel like if they pro wrestlers commandeo and predator would start as rivals in a feud and then become a tag team
Heck yeah they would!💯
Also with the face there was a commando and a predator on the team. Somebody was Arnold fan .
True! All that was missing was a Terminator!
They definitely missed something the fact the cougar wasn’t one of the female gladiators. Also what they should have done is given one a thunder cats style name like panthro so he could talk about being the thunder from down under and the brains of the groups .
If you do some digging, I think cougar got “let go” for some incidents in his private life that he pleaded not guilty to….
Oh and I’m using some different logos this might be some one you know .
Looks awesome!🙌
