Yes you are right, I have one of these and I have cleaned full houses with great results. I've seen people who are selling bigger equipment refer to these as amateur machines, probably so you buy their stuff!
You're absolutely right! I can cook my own steak and lobster dinner... but I still pay to eat out at a restaurant if I don't feel like preparing my food myself. Same thing with the cleaning industry!🤷
So- spray with a general cleaning product, use peroxide on heavier soil, agitate with black brush, let it sit, bonnet it out before it dries, let it dry, then post vac? Buddy of mine does carpet and I feel like I could add this to my list of handy stuff I do.

What spry solution do you use for cleaning carpet? I have a Oreck Orbiter and I try to clean carpets with it as well
