  • Welcome back to the channel, folks! Today, I'm taking the DJI Avata 2 FPV Drone for a spin in some light rain to see how it handles the elements. This is only my second time flying an FPV drone, so join me on this adventure as I share my thoughts and experiences with you.
Despite being relatively new to FPV flying, I must say, the Avata 2 makes it incredibly easy to get the hang of things, especially with its intuitive controller. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pilot, this drone is a breeze to fly.
In this video, I'll be showcasing the footage captured during our rainy day flight, giving you a glimpse of the Avata 2's impressive capabilities. From smooth maneuvers to stunning aerial views, you won't want to miss it!
If you're interested in picking up the DJI Avata 2 FPV Drone for yourself, I've included a link in the description below. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Thanks for watching, and don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more drone adventures! Happy flying! 🚁✨

I accidentally put my Dji fpv drone in the drink upside down in panther creek trying to film upstream to a lake. all was going well until a grey Heron was around the next bend hunting all 5ft tall of him i panicked could have hit pause. I took evasive action and stomped it straight up and smacked that one tree limb which smacked so hard two quick last image was a blurry line from the drone .like you had opened yours eyes under water then nothing. It took 20min to recover the drone one prop was mangled into the shallow bottom of the creek bed . I’m heartbroken 😢 take her home rinsed off a little . stripped off her shell props and hair dryer hell lol . The next day put in another battery last one was toast but to my surprise ithe dji fpv drone didn’t even hesitate to power up and fly like it never even happened . Im still shocked by the fact that it still flys tday

I crashed mine today was flying with a mc3 was trying to go under a bridge did 2 test I managed to do the gap and the last time the drone went straight I tried to decrease altitude but it did’nt and it hit the bridge and went straight into the water, managed to recover it within 5min dried it with my clothes, blow some air from the gimbal with my mouth ran back home and used a drier to dry it out inside the battery compartment and put 2 sillica bags inside the battery compartment and put it in a bag to dry but don’t know if it will work. Fingers crossed.

It was my first FPV drone! Super easy to fly and it's a lot of fun!

I made the mistake of flying my dji mini 2 in the rain, it played up for weeks afterwards and I now would not even think of flying any drone in the rain, 7nless it was made for it.

      Hey David,
Thanks for the advice! I made this video to test the Avata 2 for viewers who might be interested in purchasing it. I’ve flown the Avata 10 times now in light rain, and it’s held up really well-no issues with the motors or sensors.
However, I definitely wouldn’t recommend flying any drone in the rain to avoid potential damage. Safety first!
      Best,
      Philip

Yeah it’s not worth risking an expensive drone just for the kicks lol. Keep on rocking it and all the best from Australia 👍

Does the Avata 2 have same features as a Mini 4 pro , with Follow, Dronie, etc?? Are they built in to software as well ? Also, is this Remote ID compliant? Is remote ID built in? Does this need a phone to fly ? Thanks !!!

The Avata 2 does not have the follow feature that the Mini 4 Pro Has. The Avata 2 does not need any phone to fly the drone, which is nice! You don't receive a regular controller with the Avata 2, you receive a motion controller, which doesn't allow you to fly in full Manual Mode.
