    I wonder if your Jerusalem artichoke flowered, because mine never did for 3 years at the allotment. Be careful with them because they are quite invasive, I’ve struggled to get rid of mine when I didn’t wand it anymore, they go really deep in the ground. It’s best to keep them contained. Also not everyone likes the taste of them, it’s very distinct. I like it roasted, but gives lots of gas too 😂, so winter savoury to go with it 😝
    With plums apart from jam and sauces, pies are absolutely scrumptious, i also add them finely chopped in my drop scones batter, yummm 😋

    Gorgeous hollyhocks and just your general color palette for the flowers is so pretty
    Also I noticed your wrist brace...I had carpal tunnel surgery a few months ago but I still wear mine gardening.

    Always enjoy a stroll around the garden with you guys. Look forward to seeing what you find to fill in the gaps. Actually, I'd like to go to the garden center with you, if they let you video while there.

    Lovely garden you have there. I had the same problem with those plum moths and the traps worked wonders. I have left some of my garden go wild this year and there's so much life in there that it's a wonder.

    We have been battling guava moth in our plums for years. The only thing that has helped is to spray with organic Neem oil when the plum are small and green and just developing

    I love all of it!. I am more of an orderly Gardner but I think it would be nice to have an area that can just go wild. I sadly don't have a big enough yard for that.

    Love your videos, your beautiful garden, and your lovely dress and boots!! You were talking about how some of the plants didn’t bloom this year, I’m having the same problem with my hydrangeas here in Kentucky, USA. They grow large healthy leaves, but no blooms. Look forward to your videos, thanks for sharing your garden with us! 💗

    Echinacea are only short lived perennials and if you bought larger plants they will be older ones so may have been their last year

    • @monalogue
      @monalogue  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for this! They were plugs so must have been very short lived here

  • @katieshelton8117

    I wonder if it's too wet for the echinacea to come back really successfully. I know they tend to like drier conditions

    really enjoy you and your garden, but could you please slow down your speaking? I feel like your rushing through, maybe to remember what you want to say? You always sound out of breath. Maybe you could just do the tours with hand gestures, smiles and so forth, then do a voice over so you dont have to remember anything, you can just read it. Either way, your garden looks just beautiful. Iv considered the jeruselum artichokes but the reviews on its taste are very mixed. I did not even know my ragged jack kale , our favorite variety because it NEVER goes bitter no matter how much it flowers, was a perennial. There were two old stumps in the garden I just hadnt gotten around to pulling up last fall, and they started to leaf out. I planted 5 more in a spot I want them to be permanent, that I know tends to get frost in the spring so nothing else will do well there, plus fall will make them sweeter.

      I don't think she needs to slow down at all, and i enjoy this format.

    • @mirandaandrea8215
      @mirandaandrea8215 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I disagree !!!!! she speaks clearly and articulately! It would be unnatural to try and slow herself down and would look silly making hand gestures with a voice over! Ridiculous!

    • @MrEmelyy
      @MrEmelyy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Disagree aswell, don't think you meant anything bad with saying that but I'm so tiered of every youtuber following the same model of speaking really slow with some angelic tone and never accually say much, instead of people being themselfs and truly share their thoughts and ideas :)
