      @@johnk12345100 all doing well thanks for asking. Yeah John I have a 24 foot Carver cabin cruiser that I would use all summer long. Every weekend. But since I got the goldwing I only used it 4 times last year. And still haven't Un winterized it yet this year. I might just sell it. It's strange how a passion can change like that. Anyways yes it was good to here from you sir. Please be safe and keep in touch.

    Great Video John! Nothing better than long term reviews. Hey, you talked about your radio at length. I like listening to my radio but quickly found it had no range. If you want MUCH BETTER reception just switch to a standard 31" antenna with a 5mm male stud and a stainless lockwasher. With a 31" antenna you will get much better range and right about 3x the stations on AM, FM and WB. Yes, you can get shorter antennas with corresponding shorter ranges and yes the base is sturdy enough. My wife does not ride so I don't know if a longer antenna would bother a passenger tho. Thanks for your video ;-)

      Good advice here! Yeah the short antenna really doesn't do the job as far as reception goes, being in a metropolitan area, not too bad, but I could definitely see where the reception is not as good as what I get in the car! On my favorite channels! Will take that into consideration, I do like the look of the stubby antenna, LOL, mine was actually missing off the bike when I bought it, so I had the dealer put on an antenna, and unfortunately he put on a knock-off, I was always wondering if that was the reason why my reception just wasn't there, but I think you explained that away. Thanks

      You'll be amazed at the difference. I'm a half hour out of the edge of Chicago and I should be in radio heaven, but when my local station dropped off after ten minutes it drove me crazy. I bought mine at The Antenna Source in Manitowoc WI after talking to their customer service guy... very helpful. You can buy antennas at the car parts stores also but its a crapshoot to find the 5mm thread. Now I can get my local station out to almost 35 miles over flat terrain. Happy Riding!

    John, thanks for the video. I have a FJR1300 and researching the Gold Wing/F6B vs a lighter more upright bike. I am seriously considering the F6B... Tell me without the back up assistance on the GW is it a problem backing it up?
    That is a pretty bike! Thanks again

    John,
    Love you videos. I’m wanting to purchase a 13’ F6b later this year. How much did you say the oil change cost for an F6b?

    • @johnk12345100
      @johnk12345100  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably 50 60 bucks, it's the easiest job on the bike though I've never had the oil changed in the dealership , thanks for watching videos!

      Thanks Chris! Yeah I've been wanting to go ahead and take the dive on the Sena, you talked me into it going to order today! I'm a loan officer by day, my manager keeps wanting me to do a video library for work, so you'll probably be seeing some loan officer tips coming too.

      I'm leaning towards the prism, since I've already got the headset, that's really the only difference between the 10 C and the prism right? I don't need the headsets because I already have them, I'm just hoping that later on I can possibly add on cameras where I can have multiple views going at one time like I think you do, any advice much appreciated

    • @christophersmith5116
      @christophersmith5116 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      John there is a Prism and the Prism Tube. With the Prism you can remotely control it with any Bluetooth headset that has a rotary dial (you can start\stop recording and take pictures just by using the Dial and also turn on\off the Camera) The Prism Tube is just a Camera only and no Bluetooth, it does come with a microphone and one Speaker. Sena has a updated model of the Prism Tube called the Prism Tube Wi-fi. With it you can see what your filming so this can probably be used off the bike as well. I have the Prism also and it can be a very Versatile Camera. O... the new Prism tube Wi-Fi shoots at 1440\30 and 1080\60\30 were the Prism and older version Prism tube shoot at 1080\30fps. The Prism you have a setting that you can shoot at 720\60fps. Hope some of this helps. Feel free with any Questions.

      Thank you my friend! Think I'm going to go with the prism, I do have a turn dial on my open face helmet Senna , headset installed, I got a hurricane headed my way! Yeah and we just bought that second home at Oak Island! Worrying more about that, but it could come into Charlotte too! I'm getting a double whammy

    John have you considered going to the Darkside and putting a car tire on it?

    • @johnk12345100
      @johnk12345100  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had a car tire on my 2006 full dress and although it was minor as far as the feeling went of the ride characteristic, it was enough that kept me with the MC tire on the F6B. I have became a little more sportier of a rider with the F6B, and a little more I guess technical you could say. I love the Idea of getting 30 K out of the darkside but that is a little long too to have a tire on a bike IMO. I would still want to take it off after 15k or so to check the bearings. Then it just seems to be more and more of a hassle to even find a mechanic that will put one on for you.

    How come you can't put a car tire on the rear. They supposedly last like nobodies business.

    I run Metzelers Me888...This set of tires I've gotten well over 16k out of.
    And this dark siding I'm still not sure about that?

    • @johnk12345100
      @johnk12345100  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How do you feel as far as the ride on the Mes? I know that 10 to 12k is not a lot on a MC tire but the cusion ride is great with the bridgestones.

      @@johnk12345100
      It definitely handles better especially on wet roads the turning feels more crisp like a sports bike.
      But my wife said the ride on the back feels different much different than those Bridgesstones.
      She said it felt more comfortable with the Bridgestones?

    • @johnk12345100
      @johnk12345100  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@melvininf9276 yep I guess it's a trade-off smoother ride, means Les Miles you get out of the tires, maybe the perfect mix would be to let a little air out of the metzler's! LOL

      Of course you want to check eBay, and Amazon, but I believe I bought mine directly from the company which below is the link. Hopefully I gave you enough insight on what Shield you would need, my inseam though is about a 31, I need to put that back on this site madstad.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjws5HlBRDIARIsAOomqA1mlMsjtu5xiP00I4MhP_gXRsmSiQS8kYdrKeUkuC4RLhrESWDlH4waAjAkEALw_wcB

      @johnk12345100  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would really love to get the tire pressure monitoring system on here, IMO ones that just twist on your valve stem looks like the way to go. Cruiseman garage did a good video on them. It was on his old Wing, but he shows the comparison about how easy they are compared to the ones you have to wire up. The only reason I haven't gone to them is because I have rubber at the bottom of my valve stem, not Steel. I'm not sure if that little bit of extra weight at the end would cause a leak at the bottom of the stem, but I would love to try cuz I really want them. Since my tires are ready to get changed, I might just request the steel ones, so I don't have to worry about it, I haven't priced the tire pressure monitoring systems lately, but I think you can get in for round 60 to a hundred bucks for a great set.

      John Keller it's gonna be my next add on. Had a flat on my 2000 mi rear tire, did not even realize it was flat until I was out on the highway.
