Two things I love about your vids, Lisa: You show the desired consistency, which is so important for cooking success. And you emphasize that people don't have to stick to measurements/ingredients in order to make great food. Going to try this recipe! Thx for sharing!
I just stumbled on your video. You are the sweetest clown in this town....I now know where to go when I am feeling down.. You crack me up!! Now I am hungry and I already have all the ingredients....see ya! Love ya!
Simple and cheap to make, imagine that I was going to a vegan cafe that charges like $15 for 1 of these patties put on a bun with lettuce , tomato and sauce! Crazy
Agreed. I do not eat out very much but am amazed at how little you get for your $, and leave a tip. We can make 5x as much at home for the same price, even tho we have to do the work. cheers.
Lisa you would not believe how many recipies for burgers and patties i avenue printed off and never made because i didn't have one of the ingredients or thought it waas going to take too long. This is easy. I always have Lentils and oats. Always! That is basically your recipe with whatever else you have that day. And spices which i also have. Thanks
I need to become a vegetarian for health reasons, and this is the very best video I have found for a 'bean' pattie. No weird ingredients! And that sauce looks amazing! This is the first recipe I will try!!!
I made these and they were awesome, even without the tahini-sriracha sauce. I made them with green lentils, because I only had those and turned they out ok too. Love the coriander in them, I think that's what makes them amazing...
Recipe looks great! Love the addition of veggies- probably makes for a more moist patty. And the oats for a binding agent! Awesome! Then to top it off they are baked! Wao! I’m definitely cooking them- soon! Thank you for sharing. Oh and a must try on the sauce!
Lisa! I made this yesterday and this will be a go to recipe for me to prep on Sundays for the week. Tastes awesome and is so filling! Love it and love your videos! Take care.
These are delicious!! I love them and even better they are perfect for my 1 year old. I have been looking for something to add protein to his lunches at daycare. These are perfect!!!
I freaking love these and that sauce. I used ground up dry quinoa instead of oats and pan cooked them, because I don’t have an oven but, they turned out alright. Thanks for the recipe. :)
Coming back to say... The lentil patties are delicious, and I've been snacking on them since last night, and I plan to make another batch for tonight's dinner. Thanks again for sharing. You sure know how to feed us. ❤
Been a vegan for about a year now and that's how long it took me to find this channel. Having been "socialized" with The Happy Pear, Avantgardevegan and Pick Up Limes, I won't lie to you: I've fallen in love with this in a blitz ... Thank you so much for posting these thingies, I will spend the next weeks of our quarantine watching the rest (here in Majorca/Spain it's quite strict, meaning we can't leave the house for anything other than the supermarket, but who wants to complain when it's saving lives). Loving The Viet Vegan! I'm a lucky guy to have found this. You go, girl! Hugs from the Mediterranean!
Awesome recipe - thanks so much! Just a tip for everyone! Instead of oats (if that's a problem) you can add Ezekiel bread to the food processor or other high protein no flour breads. You could probably even make it with quinoa as well instead of oats. Can't wait to try this recipe :)
I made these for supper, tonight, and they were SO GOOD!!! I made two sandwiches with them, with two different flavor profiles, and they were delicious, both ways! I'm definitely making these, again! Yum!!
Thank you Lisa! Just thank you! I really needed to up my iron and I love those lentils in lentil mash, honestly delicious that way but my gosh I love a good sandwich.
You are such a laugh! Honestly, you had me giggling at multiple points in this video. Great recipe, too! I know this is years old, but it just showed up in my feed, and I’m so happy it did.❤
I have been trying to make falafel since forever. They always crumble when I fry them (dont have an oven). I followed your techniques and recipe (basically swapped lentils with chickpeas) and it worked. Successfully fried the patties. Thank you!!
Ma'am I will definitely try your recipe as it is very nutritious. Regarding the wet ingredients rather than using more & more oats I would add gram flour.
I have a slight addiction to tahini, I mean it goes on everything (except fruit) I use juice of a whole lemon, 3 tablespoons tahini, 1 grated garlic clove, 1 teaspoon salt to taste, little bit of water, whisk and that is so good for me. Plus you can add any spices you like and it goes with every dish.
Idk why I've always over looked your videos but now that I've actually sat down and watched a few wtf was I thinking, you're so funny and fun to watch!! Definitely subscribed!
The Viet Vegan Just lack of content from my usual channels. Not their fault, I spend a lot of time on here. But you've been in my suggested videos for a few years now actually and I saw a recipe that looked good so I clicked and realized your personality is so much like mine and found myself laughing to whole way through, oh and I really love your Sailor Moon Funko collection in the background. Lol.
I made them half an hour ago an they are super delicious! Looks like i have to make a second batch tomorrow, bc we are eating them right from the baking tray. Thank you so much for the recipe!
just simply awesome !!! U so entertaining and such a convinient healthy yummy recipe, thank u so much for sharing u and the recipe with the world! liked and subscriped
Oh fork yaaaas! Thanks for posting this. I've been wanting to try them out since your what I ate video. Sorry to hear you're under the weather. You look gorgeous (as usual). Feel better soon!
I love all things Lentil, and was looking forward to this recipe. I am always on the lookout for bean/lentil burger recipes, since they are a staple of my summer diet/meal plans. These look so good...and the sauce! Sriracha and tahini! Oh yes....
yumm yummy.. I always have oats for my breakfast already so can it be replaced by Corn/potato starch or rice flour? Thanks so much for sharing the recipe
Mo oats mo betta! I wouldn't recommend using a full on flour, the chunks in the oats when they're only partially blitzed up help a lot. You could use a combination between breadcrumbs and flour/starches? But if you can use oats, they're so great for you, you could always use a bit more :)

I just tried making it and it turned out to be good :D! Thanks! I personally felt like the taste of lentils is a bit overpowering, so I will add more veggies next time !

I need to make these ASAP. They held together so well! I've never tried making patties with the red lentils.

I made these and they were awesome, even without the tahini-sriracha sauce. I made them with green lentils, because I only had those and turned they out ok too. Love the coriander in them, I think that's what makes them amazing...

OH GIRL! I just made these lentil patties and OMG! They are way too easy for as yummylicous as they are!
FYI- I made this recipe last night. It was so good I’m making it again tonight (a double batch)! The picky eaters in my home are even eating them.
Love this recipe! I will be making this!

Lisa! You read my mind! I HAVE BEEN CRAVING LENTILS! THANK YOU
*Boop*
I made these tonight! I subbed breadcrumbs for oats, really enjoyed.
Potato starch is also an awesome awesome binder! I found out one day when I was short on oats.
It's a fun time! Looks so delish
