Why didn't this come with the ability to mount my light on top? Rather than from the end? This puts so much tension on the pin when putting a large modifier to the light.
I think this product could be perfection with: 1. The possibility of changing the extension arm (to a little longer one). 2. Support at least 20 pounds load weight I still gonna gonna get it and try it :)
The boom arm has a reach of 26 inches, which we find is ideal for most portrait photography setups. It’s designed to be compact and easy to maneuver in various studio environments. However, if you feel a longer reach would better suit your needs, we appreciate the input and will consider it for future product developments. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Our video team has used it for overhead camera mounting! As long as it is below 15 lbs it shouldn't be an issue for smaller camera setups. We used a Sony FX3 and 24-70 lens on a Baby Pin Adapter 5/8" Female to 1/4-20" Male on it.
We highly recommend using a C-stand for setups like this. When placing significant weight on a rail system, there are many variables to consider. Counterbalancing the Easy Boom often requires adding a lot of weight, which can put considerable stress on the system. Be sure to check the weight capacity of your rail system before attaching anything heavy.
@@WestcottLighting appreciate the reply. I have an old Manfrotto bogen rail system- I'm not sure how to check the weight limits on it since it's so old. But it is quite sturdy...

Can it support an broncolor para 133 at the front without rotation?

This looks best for a studio. How portable is it designed to be?
I agree. This would add to set up time for on location sessions.
What’s the length of the arm? It looks quite short. Almost unusable.
