My Feature Length Jason Todd Fan Film has it's full trailer dropping very soon. Stay tuned. Thank you for allowing me to tell my own story in Gotham. Much love to all of you. ❤
@damsen978 No, in the original story he was with Barry before he created the change, with him most of the time in the new universe after he losted his powers, and after when Barry had reset the timeline he is with him at the end of the book giving him his father’s letter.
The ending scene with Barry and his mother in the grocery store as he’s setting things back to “normal” is what the movie needed to be about. Not massive, destroying the multiverse CGI extravaganzas. How decisions, big and small can have earth shattering and or deeply personal consequences. How, some of your best work and moments in life can be born from tragedy. Those smaller scenes to me were my favorite of the film.
Imagine the modern day visuals of the cold field, the lightning shining off and bouncing around the ice shards, running through snow crystals, even with quite less of a budget
Interesting. Altough I have a question since I guess you might know more about flash than I do. How can captain cold even hit him, isnt flash like really fast? So he can just put him to jail in seconds. Or does he have like a signature power or smthng?
THANK YOU!!!!!!! Finally someone who gets it!!! Yes, Flashpoint is an amazing story, but it needs to be built up. Not to mention, Flash’s mythos is severely undermined compared to other characters. He has such amazing stories and characters that you could easily make amazing movies out of!!!
@@SpomalenyClovek It’s anti plot armor, the flash should be able to to that, but then there’d be no story. So the writers are constantly nerfing him or making him inconsistent.
@@SpomalenyClovek I had the same question a while ago, turns out, he has a "cold-field" projected from his gun, basically a large force field that instantly freezes anything inside it except him, which slows down flash but would near instantly stop bullets or freeze and kill other people. Hes also very good at planning and anticipating the Flash, as well as often teaming up with other villains. This is the man can bring things to the theoretical coldest temperature of the universe thats debated if its even possible, with a gun, hes breaking quantum mechanics as we know them to steal jewelry and fight off the flash lol.
The flash to me easily has enough potential to be as known as spider man, all he needs is a “Sam Raimi” of sorts. Someone who has a deep and personal connection with the lessons from the flash character to create an inspired movie.
He is already as known as spiderman or he is very close, everyone in the world know who flash is, he is literally the most iconic speedster of all time
@@barry2349 ........ no, he is not. Everyone and their grandma knows who Sonic is. Flash is extremely generic. Hell, he's so boring people confuse Barry Allen and Wally West all the time because they're just that similar in how much character they DON'T have. The only character worth remembering from the Flash mythos is Reverse Flash and that's because he's hilarious.
I personally enjoyed the flash. But the glaring issue I have with the ending outside of the cameos, is that right after Barry makes that sacrifice and puts the tomatoes back, Barry doesn’t stop himself from making another change, he moves the cans to a higher shelf so his dad is proven not guilty by the camera footage. Would’ve been a great completion to his arc in the movie if he stopped himself in that moment and went back to the present without making any changes and made the ultimate personal sacrifice to save his universe from further change, in my opinion.
Don't worry bro it's another origin story and part of the plan, his character arc is going to be completed after a whole freaking trilogy at the last mome- oh wait there's going to be no trilogy because the movie flopped😭💀
@@PaytonMollo I mean, he had the power to keep his mother alive and it was as simple as moving a can of tomatoes to do it, and well.. you saw what happened
I think that’s actually a better change. Like if you really think about it, it’s the right kind of change done mindfully. It doesn’t keep anyone from dying , it provides a small change that doesn’t actually have impact until the present because they footage wasn’t discovered until that day.
Reasons to like it: -those scenes when we see the care for humanity in barry, when he took a small amount of time to tell that nurse to reach out for help, or when he used all of his ability just to turn that kids face away from seeing his father be brutally crushed. -seeing his origin story through trying to get his younger self to get his powers is a great way to retell the story that a good amount of people already know. - The camerawork is actually different and works quite well. - Nicholas Cage -the action sequences are dynamic and we’re actually thought out by what seemed to be an actual choreography team. -seeing young Barry slowly loose faith in saving Keaton and Supergirl, and with that, slowly become more villainous. -those amazing shots of the lightning going through the two Barry’s, and the lightning rekindling the main Barry’s powers. - Ezra’s performance in both characters For me it’s at the very bottom of my favorite superhero movies list because I really enjoyed a DC film for once. I really want a remastered version with finished Vfx and with a Reeve cameo that’s just from reused footage, they could also quickly add in some CW cameos. And apparently there was a cut rated R supergirl action sequence that I would like to see
My mom passed away over a year ago, I miss her and think about her everyday. I've seen the movie 3 times, and despite its flaws I really enjoyed it each time.
I appreciate The Flash as being a fun popcorn flick, but watching it one week after Spiderverse did not do it favor. Both films really gave polar opposite lessons, one saying that you are define by your trauma, the other saying it's not the trauma, but how you make you forged your own path. I just found Miles's arc much more refreshing and inspiring.
@@barry2349 You have allowed this entire movie to become your personality. Please stop. You deserve better than to let your identity be defined by a mid-tier corporate product.
@@lazaroskarmaniolas7410 your the one who made across the spiderverse your personality btw both the flash and across the spiderverse are made by corporate products
@@barry2349 When did I mention Across The Spider-Verse? Projecting much? "I know you are, but what am I" isn't a good comeback or a valid argument. Stop. Stop shilling. Flash doesn't exist, he's not gonna give you attention. And WB doesn't care about you. Stop hurting yourself.
I gotta admit, I haven't seen the video yet. But here's something we all can agree upon (even if someone dislikes the film): it's obvious that Andy Muschietti loves the sh*t out of this character, and he has definitely put all his heart and passion into it.
@@azieltapia6620hopefully he hires a really good writer and uses a healthy balance of practical effects and shooting on real locations coupled with realistic looking cgi.
Yeah, he loves him so much he made him a supporting character in his own movie. And if *this* is the result of his "heart and passion", maybe he shouldnt be doing these movies.
I think he'll do great with his Batman movie. Hopefully DC allows creativity to flourish with these upcoming films. People don't need a connected universe, just make good fucking movies.
I'm not ashamed to admit that this brilliantly comprehensive analysis of 'The Flash' movie & whatever else we could have received IF we lived in The Most Perfect Timeline, has brought me to tears. You're right with every word. We ALMOST had the miracle Barry Allen movie we've waited sooo many years for. DC ALMOST fixed their horrific superhero movie problem. We ALMOST had 'Flashpoint: Paradox' featuring Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton PLUS Michael 'Zod' Shannon! But then... they fucked it all up AGAIN. They did not trust us enough to deliver something TRULY new, even though The Flash can run to any potential dimension in an infinite universe. They ran back to 1997 for the grand finale, and I might have smirked at that cameo, but I was deeply unsatisfied after the smile left my face. The DC Animated movies continue to be vastly superior to anything they make in real life, and 'The Flash' is a heartbreaking disappointment and we deserve so much better for and from these iconic childhood heroes on screen!! Stay genius, sir :) thanks for speaking your passionate wisdom. Those CGI babies in 'The Flash' looked absolutely HORRIBLE!!! LOL
Yeah it's good man. Everyone wants shit to be perfect. I really enjoyed it, and if you didn't like it, that's fine too People have different likes and dislikes.
I think the two best scenes are Bruce with Barry before Barry goes back in time. And then later in the movie when Barry says bye to his mother. Both very well acted scenes, the final scene for Ben affleck is the best scene in the movie and it shows everything well about Batman as a character. The Barry and his mom moment was amazing but falls flat because we barely spend time with his mom once Barry sees his past self. The best addition to the story was Sasha’s supergirl cause she just added so much character wise and would’ve been a great partner to work with Henry’s Superman. Michael Keaton was great in this, having his Bruce be good in hope and in retirement. However once the final battle starts they do wrong with his character besides his ending speech to Barry. The dark flash was a good addition but that scene between the three Barry’s should’ve been more significant and the ending should’ve been the one with Henry, gal, Sasha and Michael. With the setup being for crisis with Ben, would’ve been very interesting to see and I hope that when they release the movie on digital. It includes the 4 hour cut of the movie, along with the deleted endings, cause I Wanan see the original ending, the second ending with its crisis post credit scene and then they can include the new ending if they want to
There's a reason why not too many people came in to watch this besides Ezra Miller's actions. The fact that the studio was banking on cameos being enough to being in money. This movie had the biggest development hell and I think Andy was just working with the hand that was dealt. I'm sure James and Peter felt bad and trusted his ability. So they're giving him time and resources to make a great Brave and the Bold project. I trust James and Peter to lead the DCU. I'm sure Blue Beetle will be at the least good (like a 7/10 at the lowest). I'm not sure for Aquaman 2 though.
What is the reason. The only reason people are not watching it is based on ezra actions. All other reasons are just baseless stupid assumptions . And if aquaman can make a billion it shouldn't stop the sequel from doing the same.
I enjoyed this movie because of Andy Muschietti I love when horror directors make superhero movies I really hope he gets to direct "Batman: The Brave and the Bold", because he's amazing
Great video HiTop! And I can just say how much I appreciate that you talked a bit about the CW Flash. That show's reputation has been dragged through the mud (Mostly of its own making), but in those early seasons, that moment when Grant's Barry Allen travels back and has to say goodbye to Nora. There's a reason why Kevin Smith and millions of fans like him cried during that scene. And that's the thing about this Flash movie. Everything that it does well when it comes to the Flash's story, other films and shows have done better. A beautiful lie indeed.
Eric Wallace majorly fucked up the CW Flash but even then, it was going downhill already. Still, I absolutely love and adore the first three seasons of thr Flash. They're absolutely amazing.
One of the things that annoyed me the most which is what I thought they were going to do was Barry was going to find the person that actually killed his mom(Which we all know is the Reverse Flash). But they didn’t even mention it one time or even consider exploring that route to clear his father’s name. Seemed like such a waste to not include him in this movie especially since they are rebooting everything.
@@batmanfoever I know he doesn’t know Reverse Flash yet. What I said was I thought it was strange how Barry never tried to find the actual killer responsible for his mom’s death and that’s how they could have introduced Reverse Flash but instead they went down this route of changing a few details that prevent his mom dying and his dad going to jail and thus wasting an opportunity to bring in the reverse flash and making this movie more interesting.
The main issue is that superhero films at the moment are very superficial. We need more films that are at its core an emotional and telling story that have a bonus of awesome action and visuals not the other way around. From what James Gunn has said I’ve got full faith we will be getting that in a few years time.
Not really. What do you deem emotional? Guys can't even empathize with women characters anymore. Like look how much the context of Princess Peach went over many heads? She was literally rejecting that turtle guy's advancements the ENTIRE time and yet incels thought this was romantic and that Princess Peach wasn't woke? Yikes. Princess Peach rejected him, then lead an army to battle him.
@@suzygirl1843 Unfortunately, people go online, see that other people think like them and, with the benefit of anonymity, things get really messy. I think Moviebob put it best. We can have the philosophical argument between Jon Kent and Jor-El but maybe we also need one of Clark’s moms to let him know that it’s okay to feel stressed and doubt yourself when you’re Superman.
@@suzygirl1843 Something that has depth and emotional weight. Op is right, superhero films are all about superficiality. Spiderman 2 for example, is a character study on peter Parker, despite the plot being simple, it has depth, because it explores the ramifications of being a superhero with a secret identity. Peter let's out emotions through situations he's been put through, that felt natural and, most of all relatable, that's what we mean by "emotional". So please don't discredit op's points by bringing a small minority of people complaining about a stupid thing, on a movie that's not even a superhero.
@@TheunknownuserM07 No, I meant how people interpret depth is different across groups. 1 could think HBO's Watchmen series is a spiritual successor to the comic but another could interpret it as something else 🤔.
I did not like this movie. I find Ezra very annoying not to mention i had a hard time separating the art from the artist with the lead considering their crime spree. I appreciate this video for reminding me that other good artist worked hard on this. I liked Supergirl but that's about it. I can see there was a good movie somewhere in this garbage can. You are spot on with this review. The best part of the Flash was HiTop Films break down. Good job Alex. Very excited about Jason
@@Harlegeist Hi, as an ENBY I will be the first to say, Ezra Miller deserves ZERO respect when it comes to pronouns. Dude straight up did some heinous shit, and deserves nothing but contempt and scrutiny, not respect.
I don’t care what anyone says. This movies better than people make it out to be. It’s no masterpiece or anything of the sort and I’ve certainly seen better movies recently, but The Flash has heart. The final scene of Barry visiting his mom alone had me tearing up and absolutely embodies everything I love about the storyline of Flashpoint.
I believe in the near future The Flash will have a cult following because of how different it is from the majority of superhero movies (even if many don't like it)
@@Godspeednihilo When characters make you feel for them and with them instead of you just acknowledging that this scene supposed to make you feel sad, but it doesn't. Honestly, it doesn't have anything to do with quality although it does happens more often in the best of the best (Grave of the fireflies, Come and see etc). You can't really measure it. Scene could be perfectly set up, shot and acted, but it would still not resonate with you. For example, Aunt May's death scene did nothing for me. And it should have, she was somewhat established character prior. X-men and Spider-man are my favorite sups. And yet. Nothing. Where I don't know much about Flash, I barely watch DC films. In Justice League Flash, for me, was somewhere between "meh" and "oh, there is something interesting about that character... and here goes another joke. Nevermind". And in this film - I loved Barry's story, their dynamic, most comedic scene worked for me. Every dramatic scene worked. Interaction with Bruces and Supergirl. Final goodbye was just great finishing touch. Improve CGI, cut or write more in depth love interest and it would be great comic book movie. For now, with such polarising takes on The Flash and awful box-office it could end-up being a cult classic.
@@somestuff7876 I already knew that a film with "heart" is supposed to convey an emotional reaction to the audience. Hence my previous comment as I remarked that people only use this praise despite other films also possessing such qualities and ultimately are just better films in general. It becomes subjective nonetheless, I felt nothing for both Aunt May and Barry's story and ending here given that I already knew both of these stories or similar ones since I am familiar with the characters. It just frustrates me that this film could've been much better with more "heart" if it weren't for the lackluster development it had. I have the same frustration for Thor 4. It is quite sad that people cope and respond to the negative reception of the film by praising it for its mediocre qualities and obvious nostalgia baiting that serves little to no purpose for the story.
Andy was able to take multiple Studio notes and what was likely a plot developed by an ai and turned it into a heartfelt story about Barry Allen. For me the film worked
@@valysheev I'm just saying it for the Iris West haters out there. She's blakc in CW, she's black in the movies. Whining about it isn't gonna change it
@@suzygirl1843 They can always change back ya know. It's a comic book story. Maybe James Gunn will bring back the red head Wally West. There's no telling what'll happen in the future. You can't always be too sure.
Not me about to start crying in the end, 😭but I loved this, the genuine passion you have for these characters is spectacular unlike other people where they only see these movies for action and could care less about deep meaningful stories that teach lessons, Love you Hitops films ❤ can’t wait for Jason Todd!!!
finding out this movie has undead cameos is both the least surprising thing in the world and the most satisfying validation of skipping this altogether.
As a screenwriter, a comic book nerd and a superhero fan, this is spot-the-f*ck on! This is one of the best introspective-retrospectives I have heard in a very long time... and, thank you, for helping me to feel less crazy about the state of many of these films, amongst the hype for this one in particular. What is maddening is that it is not as though a blueprint doesn't exist to make a great superhero film. We have 'The Dark Knight'... 'Superman: The Movie'... 'Spider-Man 2'... 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'... 'X-Men: First Class'... 'Daredevil' (TV Series)... 'The Watchmen' (TV Series) that balances a great story with great action and just enough CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT to produce a potentially great film. I am not saying "copy and paste", I am saying pay the hell attention to what makes a great superhero film and have the (Corporate-Artistic) ambition to put your money where your mouth is! Anyway, I'm getting too frustrated thinking about this, so I'll just say that this was a great 19:02 spent listening to a kindred spirit. Thanks.
The fact that I had no interest in seeing this movie and yet obsessively listened to every last second of this video says a lot about it. You are one of the best and most influential film criticism channels on all of TH-cam. I can tell you are a filmmaker, and cannot wait for the Jason trailer
@@suzygirl1843 I disagree with that. Flash has been pretty popular. The CW show even made it more popular. I agree with Wally west and Bart not being mainstream but Barry Allen is popular to mainstream media.
@@ethanhansen1479 I was introduced to him in the 2003 Justice League cartoon, but I don't read comics so I still don't know much outside what I've seen on CW. However, I've been slowly getting feed from hard-core fans about his comic history. I'm a semi-casual movie goer; the mainstream that will watch blockbusters like Fast and Furious, Batman, Marvel's Black Panther once as an event but need convincing to watch The Flash.
You summed up how I also feel about this movie pretty well. There’s so much there but yet it’s held back by a few odd choices. This would have been like my favorite movie ever if I was still a kid, and I don’t mean that as a bad thing. I’m kinda jealous of kids these days they’ve gotten some dope ass superhero movies
Great review, as always! I agree on most of your points. However, I didn't feel the same on Barry's origin and his acts of heroism. I felt the film balanced humor, action, spectacle, character and drama very well, while always maintaining focus on Barry's struggle to overcome his trauma and accept his personal loss. I was having a blast with this movie for the whole runtime. But the one thing that pushed it over the edge and made me absolutely LOVE it wholeheartedly was the scaling back of the bombastic finale to a scene between Barry and his mother. That small, intimate scene was one of the most heartbreaking and bittersweet moments in any superhero film I've ever seen! It fucking broke me... in the best way.
The commentary, the edits, this video was nicely put. And the way you described what should of been from the Flash movie just makes all the flaws they chose stick out more. Hoping DC comes back with Superman Legacy.
Maaan, I feel like I'm one of the few that really wants a new superman film, a film that's not only not afraid of being different but also relatable, heroic, humane and grounded, specially in this souless times we have been going through for so long. I truly believe that the best way to start this new line of DC movies is with the characther and the world/people sourrounding him, that gave a new meaning to the concept of being a hero.
I saw it multiple times in theather, people were laughing so hard in the scenes with Barry 2, peoples enjoyed Barry 2 he was great:)) and alot of people get emotional in the final scene with Barry's mom...I loved miller performance. The CGI I agree. The depth.... I think is quite depth in comparation to somes marvels or other superhero movies.
I genuinely loved this movie. I loved the story, I loved how it handled the characters, I loved the camerwork, the wonky cgi, the comedy. Idk why, but something about this movie was so amazing to me, I think it did feel like the animated universe, and that may be why I loved it so much.
@@space12hero exactly, I felt like a kid whenever flash started running, and I loved the cool fisheye effect they did with his feet, along with his goofy pose.
I still can't believe that flash has some of the best non-Batman or Spider-Man villains and we still have to make up a generic evil villian for Barry to face. Imagine Matthew McConaughey as reverse flash ⚡
I been watching ur videos for years and i never comment but i just want to tell you, The way you write these videos is immaculate. I hope you get discovered one day and get to live out ur dream as a film writer. Super talented ✊
Actually spiderverse directly challenges the notion that scars define a hero. In fact Miles' believes that you need to do your best regardless of the odds or the Canon. You cant let people die when you could save them even if that might mean someone else doesn't become a hero. Heroes are often scarred but scars don't define the hero.
i admire how you changed your outlook from a exclusively pessimistic view to one were you focus more on the positive, feels good hearing that not all is terrible in the world. Tanks man
Yeah, you’re right. I think Barry 2 being as obnoxious was an attempt to (SPOILER) make the transformation into Dark Flash more difficult to predict, but he’s mostly just annoying. I wish they had made him OCD, which is basically what he is anyway. But to see him openly stuck in obsessive rituals would have been a nice parallel to him obsessively going back in time. Missed opportunities, 10 directors, producer pressure, drug fueled child abuse…this movie makes me profoundly sad for what it could have been.
It's really strange. I normally share a lot of your viewpoints on movies. And I agree with a lot of what you said in this video. That being said, for whatever reason I really enjoy this movie. I saw it in 4DX and as a fan of the Flash it just really did a lot for me. I agree that there was a lot of cheap spectacle at times, but I also felt like the movie has a lot of love for the DC universe and made the best use of its characters it could with the not-so-great elements that are the result of a severely flawed cinematic universe. It could've been better sure, but when I am typically used to things like BVS, WW1984, and David Ayer's Suicide Squad, where there are, in my opinion, fundamental issues with the plot, a movie like this from DC felt extremely refreshing. They just don't usually, and haven't for a long time had any consistency in crafting their cinematic universe. I am excited for the DCU reboot because it allows for Elseworlds stories such as The Batman and Joker to continue while having the chance to make a shared universe that has more consistent levels of good films.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought this. As someone whose favore superhero is Flash this just didn't do any justice to the character or DC at all. I saw a ton of reviews from not just critics but from other youtubers as well saying Ezra did a great job as Barry when they really didn't. Barry is supposed to be a hopeful, down to earth CSI always looking for answers and the truth. He doesn't Crack jokes like Wally but he also shouldn't be so serious that he gets annoyed by everyone whose enjoying life. In the beginning I honestly thought he was gonna turn into Reverse-Flash due to him getting irritated that he has to go save people from a falling building and not being praised for anything. Barry isn't a super serious social reject he's a hopeful loving guy whose dedicated to his work because he wants to prove his father's innocence as well as saving people because it's important and what's right. He knows he was given powers for a reason. The whole story of him getting powers is built around the sentence "The lightning chose you Barry." So yeah like you said it was a fun decent movie but it deformed wasn't a good Flash movie at all. The cameos had no impact nor were they begged for u like Grant Gustin and John Wesley Shipp. I really lost a lotta respect for Andy when he not only said there wasn't enough time to get Grant Gustin in the movie but also completely disregarding him and what he did for the character by saying Ezra is the best Flash and no one can play The Flash like Ezra can. Andy also continued to say he hopes Ezra stays being Flash for future projects which is a retarded fucking statement. Get mad at me all you want for saying retarded but when someone says something this stupid about a person who's crimes are unfathomable I feel it's needed.
I'm so hyped for Jason, man. As aspiring filmmakers, we usually look out to masters and industry-experienced filmmakers as our inspirations. But I've always been inspired by smaller indie creators. I don't know. Just the thought of some ordinary guys with a low budget making ambitious projects sparks something in me. Ya'll push me to keep innovating and creating.
While later on down the line the cw flash show got really bad , but I still appreciate the earlier seasons for sure and have been so impactful to me as a flash fan . I say all that to say I’m glad you said and gave the respect to that show in the early years . Great video all around too 👏⚡️
Thank you! I’ll always adore S1 of Flash. It came on when I was in high school, my buddies and I spent so many hours theorizing and taking about how much we love it.
The best reference/ call back was when Barry found the laughing bag that Jack Nicholson's joker had on him when he fell to his death. Phenomenal call back for a legendary actor.
I really liked the flash movie! I’m a huge flash fan cuz of the show, and I think the reason I like the film so much is cuz of the same reason why I love Black Adam, it’s the passion behind it! Andy Muschietti’s heart and passion really stuck out to me and I hope in the Blu ray release we get his 4 hour cut of the film that was talked about, or at the very least a 3h+ cut with differing moments like intended but I know that’s a shot in the dark (flash) to hope for 🤷♂️ either way I love this movie and hope others at the very least appreciate what it DOES do like this video, good stuff man 👏👏👏
it was weird to me how they used CGI Barry when they were both in the room together but Parent Trap was able to convince me that there was 2 Lindsay Lohans.
I enjoy The Flash movie, the VFX is okay, Ezra Miller did great as Flash, Michael Keaton did great as his Batman so did Ben Affleck, and Sasha Callie was great as Supergirl. The costumes are incredible, but I respect your video and can't wait to see your Jason Todd show.
For me I think this year is the year of nostalgic movies Spiderverse has every spiderman Transformers brings us the beast wars and a transformers movie I've been waiting for with a actual caring optimus prime (im a transformers fan leave me alone) the mario movie felt amazing going through a love letter to all the mario games before it and fnaf might be good and flash has keton batman => this year feels great
It’s because you’re so over dramatic about these movies that I connect so much with these videos man! Please never change and never lose this beautiful comics loving soul you have brother !
I kid you not I came out of the movie thinking it was some kind of prank or something. CGI looks like it was made by AI and the script seems like it was written by chat GPT... there are flashes (no pun intended) of humanity in it, but they seem offputting by the whole picture.
I get the appeal of doing cheap nostalgia based cameos from actors of the past but for me there was a perfect opportunity to do something really cool in keeping with the DCEU. For example bring Jefferey Dean Morgan back as Thomas Wayne Batman, Bring Cavill back and put him in the RED SON costume, Show Jason Mamoa With a badass Hook hand. Basically show fans characters that will likely never be seen in live action.
Fun fact: The bad ending from this movie shows that Barry has to take the consequences of his own action, for not learning anything from this entire movie. This is actually a brilliant ending, because it shows us that Ezra Miller is a bad person and should take responsibility for the people hurt by his actions.
The writing was so bad, it just felt like it was trying to be funny all the time, but the theater was silent. There's no excuse for how bad the CGI is. It just looks awful. Miller is as charismatic as a cardboard cutout. I was really hyped. Flashpoint is one of my favorites, and the animated movie is pretty good too. This one couldn't end quick enough. I do agree about Supergirl though. I think she's the best part of the movie, and I wouldn't mind seeing her some more.
@@zubinchadha6489 are you kidding? No Way Home would be a fine movie even without Maguire or Garfield. The writing is honest and the pacing is solid. The bad guys were solid, and the CGI didn't look like I could have done better on my laptop.

He is already as known as spiderman or he is very close, everyone in the world know who flash is, he is literally the most iconic speedster of all time
@barry2349 Sonic
@@azaanimations319 he is bigger and far far more popular then sonic
@@barry2349 ........ no, he is not. Everyone and their grandma knows who Sonic is. Flash is extremely generic. Hell, he's so boring people confuse Barry Allen and Wally West all the time because they're just that similar in how much character they DON'T have. The only character worth remembering from the Flash mythos is Reverse Flash and that's because he's hilarious.
If the CW had a better budget and writing we could’ve gotten this
I personally enjoyed the flash.
It really runs salt in the wounds of making a whole movie to justify fridging.
@@JDog2656 but its still a change. It still created another time "branch" that could severaly alter the past's past.
Reasons to like it:
-those scenes when we see the care for humanity in barry, when he took a small amount of time to tell that nurse to reach out for help, or when he used all of his ability just to turn that kids face away from seeing his father be brutally crushed.
-seeing his origin story through trying to get his younger self to get his powers is a great way to retell the story that a good amount of people already know.
- The camerawork is actually different and works quite well.
- Nicholas Cage
-the action sequences are dynamic and we’re actually thought out by what seemed to be an actual choreography team.
-seeing young Barry slowly loose faith in saving Keaton and Supergirl, and with that, slowly become more villainous.
-those amazing shots of the lightning going through the two Barry’s, and the lightning rekindling the main Barry’s powers.
- Ezra’s performance in both characters
For me it’s at the very bottom of my favorite superhero movies list because I really enjoyed a DC film for once.
That's interesting I thought the lesson in the flash was much more relatable and inspiring

Spider-Verse is overrated, its animations and character ideas carry the movie more than its plot
Yea and WB probably cut it to sh*t and stripped it of it's soul like they always do.

LOL

Jason Momoa has been filmed groping his daughter at a basketball game like literally rubbing her tits

The movie was made LONG before any plans for reboots was even talked about or James Gunn was gonna take over.
U don't read comics he knew reverse flash before he found out, so since he doesn't know reverse flash how can he know it's reverse flash

Thanks.

Biggest hype for a dc project is the trailer for HiTop’s jason todd film
I love this movie, I don't care what anyone says.
Basically show fans characters that will likely never be seen in live action.
it felt so good to walk out of a DCEU movie feeling happy and wanting to watch it again
Happy or satisfied?
you manage to get it exactly right --as usual. the highs of this film were *_so_* high, and the lows were *_devastating_*
Flash point paradox better
?? looks like you never saw no way home at least this movie is great in comparison to nostalgia bait home
The overall story is good. But some minute details were not as good.
@@zubinchadha6489I think you need to take your schizophrenia medication dawg, you’re talking to yourself again
I had a very different experience. My theater was loving it.
@@zubinchadha6489 are you kidding? No Way Home would be a fine movie even without Maguire or Garfield. The writing is honest and the pacing is solid. They let moments happen, we get to see an emotionally distraught Peter thrash his way through losing a character we've never seen him lose before. The bad guys were solid, and the CGI didn't look like I could have done better on my laptop.
That ending annoyed me so bad. He didn’t even learn what the movie set him up to learn. He didn’t grow up
I actually loved this film
Best sponsorship I've ever seen lol.
The insanity of Ezra Miller just made this movie work for me. It's just insanity on screen. But it really just feels like a movie hero pill.
Commenting for algorithm. Excited to see your Jason Todd trailer HiTop.
Terrible movie.
This Flash doesn’t even feel like Barry Allen to me or Wally West, feels like some wired nephew idk
I actually think it is really good and is better then most of the marvel movies and I loved the heart and soul
I wish they kept with the idea of flashpoint where Barry learns he cant save everyone but they threw that away and just saved his dad in the end.
i am so glad i clicked on this video.... for the jason todd fan made movie info. it looks so good! subscribed.
Congratulations on the Jason Todd film. I hope it's going well
I feel like if they didn't use Barry 2 I think we've could've gotten more of those emotional moments.
Just need to say I love your analysis on every video.
I too am hopeful that we can get a great human story out of these movies instead of resorting only to the craziness we have been seeing.
The grocery store scene was one of the best scenes I’ve ever seen in a movie.
The way this guy talks and describes his review of the love and the music in the background really moves me
Went to skip the sponsor as I normally do in any video but didn’t since it’s your movie, not that it matters I just can’t wait to see what you’ve created I know how much it means to you can’t wait for Jason Todd
that's crazy, i've been subbed for a couple years, and for like a year been followin the page (with a different name i think since i deleted ig recently) that posted updates for the robin film. didn't know you two were the same people lmao
