Did you know: If you live in an apartment or high rise, you don’t need to take the Solar E-Clipse with you to charge!
With the external battery, you can simply take it with you to charge overnight. Then easily install the battery when you want to ride⚡️
How many lbs is the battery 🔋
@@FALLOFOURREPUBLIC about 25KG
I think making a battery slot on key instead of hex would make change easier for user and harder to steal
Had the exact same thought 👍
We'll try and incorporate that into the next batch 👍🏽
Solar is smashing it from the scooters now to the E bikes. Would you need a motor bike license to ride one of these
Thanks!! And if you plan on riding on public roads, yes you will need a licence. Minimum a CBT
it would be amazing to see you guys in Norway, ur models like the P1 2.0 is so cool! We almost have the same one like the E1, p1 2.0 and pro, these are named, E-wheels Commuter, E wheels E7, and E wheels E8. Oh yeah and also Solar EQ as E-wheels E7 pro😂
Hopefully soon! 🇳🇴
@@SolarScootersuk Yessss😁
Looks mint.
Thanks! ⚡️
Is there an EV charging station adapter available?
Have you fixed the issue with the bike randomly turning off? I have seen a lot of reviewers mention this.
Yeah this was just a small issue where if slight pressure was applied to the brakes when stood still the bike would momentarily lose power until rider came to a stop.
@@SolarScootersuk Thank you for the quick reply. I have seen videos of the bike shutting off while going fast on the freeway though. So can this be solved with a software update?
@@Michael-lc8bv I haven’t experienced that issue and I’ve covered a lot of riding. But yes this controller issue will be sorted for the production model.
These bikes look awesome! I have been looking for the perfect e bike to purchase and I believe this is the one! Will there be a sale any time soon? Also, I have seen you type in the comment section of other videos that the bugs have been fixed. Does this include the issue where the bike shuts off randomly? What changes have been made?
Thank you! I look forward to your response.
Hey! 👋🏽
Thanks for the positive feedback on the bike!
Changes that have been made:
- Rubber Grips Added
- New Heavy Duty Chain
- 400Amp controller (up from 300Amp)
- No throttle loss (bug fixed)
@SolarScootersuk thank you for the quick response. Hopefully I will be able to get one soon.

Will street tires be available on release?
Yes in august 🙏
@@SolarScootersuk Awesome y’all’s should make em on the smaller side
Where can you buy a replacement charger for this bike?
Simply email our team at:
hello@solarscooters.co.uk for a replacement charger
How much r they
Is there no locking mechanism for the battery?
No - should be in the next one though. The bike has a motion sensing alarm on it though and it takes 4 Allen screws to take out- so any thieves will have a hard time taking the battery quietly or quickly
Now you guys just need a solid state battery from LG to put in it
Is there a portable battery I can carry with me and swap for long distance riding ?
There isn’t a dedicated portable battery… but you can buy spare batteries to carry with you to swap out on journeys.
Effectively doubling the mileage.
@@SolarScootersuk thank you, is there any suggestion (brand)on a battery I could buy for my bike ?
@@dsfd83 for the eclipse we only recommend buying certified solar batteries.
If you email the team they should be able to provide one:
hello@solarscooters.co.uk
Damn 👌👌
Any update on how to make this street legal? And would it be rideable on a cbt? Please let me know!
You can ride on a CBT
@@SolarScootersuk Is it fully road legal yet?
Amazing bike but I think that battery access panel needs to be redone. A simple latch would be way better in terms of convince and ease of use. Don't wanna spend 5min and carry around another tool just to grab the battery.
Having just a latch wouldn’t provide the tightness needed for the IP67 waterproofing.
@@SolarScootersuk could you consider at least some theft prevention lock for the battery. I don't want some kid with an allen key to be able to take my battery out in just a couple minutes. Also maybe latch isn't a bad idea if designed properly. If you use rubber rings or some time of strong latch you can maintain the ip rating.
@@robertazarcon5932 We'll try a key lock
whats the legality like riding these on UK roads?
Just need a minimum of a CBT licence
@@SolarScootersuk oh shit me, thats better than I thought. CBT and insurance, so its registered ats a 50cc equivalent?
@@Mobile_Dom 50cc in ECO mode, 125cc in SPORT mode
Only con is taking out the battery
You won't need to remove the battery as it has a large capacity. Only if you intend to buy a second battery.
