    Thanks so much. I removed the flywheel to clean and could not get it back properly. Watching your video showed me the correct position to put it in. Works fine.

    Awesome thanks, really helpful
    I just picked up one of these today, runs but jambs up, looks like it hasn’t been serviced at all !
    Looks like it needs the same spring replacement too
    Good to see such solid machines built to last with a bit of servicing

    I have just taken up teaching myself how to grease and oil sewing machines to put them back into service. I just looked at a Bernina 807. But I do not know how to open or release mechanisms for taking off the top of the machine and the top of the sewing level surface. Could you please show that. I thank you for making this channel and others like it. This is the first video of yours I have watched. I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos and sharing your knowledge.

      No Bernina needs Grease!!! Lots of info online how to release but the 807 had a release button for the lid on most models some just pull off. Join the vintage bernina facebook groups and lots of info on this

    Hi Dave,
    Really appreciate this video and all your explanations! Thank you so much!
    My 807 broke down in the middle of my new project.. started to make noises, I stopped and cleaned and oiled it and now Ican’t do a full turn/cycle anymore. I can only turn it half way back and forth manually. Engine has „not enough power“ to move anything. But I think Engine/electronic/belts are fine. Any commonly known problems about parts that could get stuck in the mechanical system? Any hidden areas that need to be cleaned more?
    I’m a German enthusiastic but right now very desperate sewist currently living in rural New Zealand, so would really appreciate your expertise before I rip the whole thing apart 🙌🏼

    Interesting vid, especially for me since I'm working on the same machine currently: ) Same year even, but mine was used very little & then stored.
    Usual story. All three knobs on the front solid: ( Freed the stitch control & drop feed but the dual LCR/ZZ width knob is welded together still...
    Bobbin winder was solid also. But I did free it, & it squealed like a pig when I ran it. I reckon the problem is a hardened 50year old 'tyre' rather than wear & your solution looks to be good: )
    Is the tyre replaceable on its own I wonder?
    Great machines when they are working correctly. And used & lubricated. (Do not store for long periods: )

      Yes the tyre is indeed changeable on its own. If its not in this video then I may have a video somewhere. You will need to put the original hub on blocks or in a vice and tap out the spindle from the hub. You can then press the new hub and tyre on and reassemble the bobbin winder assembly

      Hi, I have this problem with mine, the dropfeed lever is solid, I use the machine for free machining and not used it for at least 6 years. I tried freeing the lever with a pair of players and it moves but the mechanics don't. How do I get to this area?

    • @JustsewTV
      @JustsewTV  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Take the bottom off the machine

      Do I remove the engine screws as well? Don't want the wires to pull out. Thank you for your help.

      @JustsewTV  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you cant take the base off without undoing the motor screws. If this seems too daunting for you then best to get it professionally serviced

    Hi is this machine smaller than the basic home machine!

    • @JustsewTV
      @JustsewTV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In bernina terms its 3/4 size as the 830 was the only “full size” in the series

    Dave, i have a drop feed lever stuck, not used for a few years and i was okeased to find your video. You suggest taking the base plate off . What about the engine? Do i remove those srews too, guessing if I dont i might pull the wires out.

    Check the cam stack gear, its likely this is cracked. The crack can be hard to see
