Bernina 730 / 530 motor capacitor replacement

This video in the series shows how to replace the capacitor mounted on the motor of all vintage Bernina 530 series machines and some 730 machines. The 730 was built with two different motors and there is a separate video on the channel if your motor looks different from this. I hope you find this video useful.

Thanks for the video. Just in time for me! I'm about to clean my knee control Bernina Record 730 with degreaser and I want to remove the motor. (Although I have done this process with Singer sewing machines with the motor still installed and no problems, I'll proceed with a little more caution with the Bernina.)

Is the function of capacitor for speed control as I've also found a capacitor and 1mega ohm resistor in the foot/knee switch
