So far I love the games. Buster max broke the economy tho for me. I'm using it for BN1 because I've never actually played it, but I'll end up being conservative for the rest of the series. It's so rewarding to get the proper chips the way the devs meant to experience the game. I found even just not using buster for bosses was broken, like I said it broke the economy. I had access to the advanced programs, and fully fleshed out libraries (large chunks of one code) before I feel like enemy bosses were ready for me to have them, only 10ish hours in
Tbf the buster max mode does mitigate one of the more annoying aspects that plagued the series back in the gba days - the grind. It’s definitely much MUCH easier to farm for chips and zenny in this collection over the original gba games thanks to the buster max mode and I’m thankful for it.
@@Tim7318-3 yep, I'd maybe advocate for saving buster max for post campaign, maybe limited use in some of the annoying dungeons in mmbn1 because you can't run away. Yes, it does. Back in the Gameboy Advance days, you needed a game link cable and a friend who has a GameBoy and a copy of the same game but really, no one either had a game link cable, the game (or either the wrong installment or version), or they just didn't have a gameboy.

I hope i dont regret buying this on steam but i cant see playstation or switch having much more luck keeping a playerbase online. wish we had real matchmaking

I was lucky to made data compare for both versions of BN3 and BN6 on steam version, allowing me to 100% those games

This video is an example of why PVP is broken for most multiplayer games, the devs who design these modes do not think long term, and since most people are meta slaves you either have to do what everyone is doing, or you can't have fun in PVP since there is no way to setup custom rules for a match, I think that games with PVP should have player lobbies so that custom rules can be setup, and then people can extend the longevity of the games by just setting up events with rules or whatever, instead of the game growing old real quick by people just doing the same thing over and over again, till people get tired of it and then there's no one to play against..

NOT UNTIL LEGENDS 3
@@brainofbrandon If they do a legacy for legends the that will give us a sliver of hope for 3.
Nah if this lag is going to kill me like this I won’t do multiplayer but at least you won GG. Bro nah I would be playing no chip mode why they have bass at all 😂. Nah the bass chip shouldn’t have saved him HE DIED.
Truly, you took one for the team!!
I hope I made everyone proud lol
I can imagine online net battling would be so much fun if it is ever done correctly lol
Isn't that bass chip available as a download chip? Like you can get it right from the start
Yeah you can. Initially I didn't want to download it because I like the challenge, but apparently for PVP everyone was using it that day lol
@@brainofbrandon well, at least you can pvp on bn1, on bn2 i can't get a single match, then checked my achievements, specifically the "defeat thunderman" achievement on steam and 2% of players got it lol
But so far ive accidentally watered mmbn 1 down by having a godly folder already 😅. Probably wouldn't do amazing in pvp yet, but having a 3 chip combo for 500 HP before I get to the 3 or 4 other advances is overkill so far. Idk. Very strange playthru. Mainly doing 1 for story tho so maybe I find optimal use before I hit the better games
Yeah buster max mode wasn't something I was super interested in... until I remembered that BN 1 is a massive grind full of dungeons that always seem to go on for like, one level too much lol
@@maskguyfromsailormoon yeah mmbn1 is super imbalanced on account of it being the 1st game in the sub-series. The saving grace for this game in particular is that once you master it then you’ll definitely have a much easier time when playing the rest of the games in the collection.
@@Tim7318-3 permanently set to "throw hands" wtf 😂😂😂😂
I have been trying to play PVP on MMBT1 and is like no one is fighting. I have tried and I always get that I couldn't find anyone to fight. Maybe it's because not a lot of people are fan of MMBT1?
It could be. I feel like there's some more features in the other BN games for multiplayer. Gonna test that out tonight.
Most people will be playing 6 since it's cons8dered to be the most balanced
The popular is the 6 because it was the most balance and diverse meta and also the most fun overall
I feel like that's where the competitive scene is as well
“This is what we do? This what we do? That’s the case?”
*me with 200 Hp consistently facing people with 800+ with my only “saving grace” bass card
With that said, my first game ever I had base HP vs someone with like 600+… tried using my escape chip lmaooo
I'm so happy I'm not alone lol
Keep it up my man!
Thanks for reminding me why i havent touched the pvp yet
4:25 I had to do a double take on that one, I really thought that game was yours.
Fair and Bassd, as it should be.
your will to win and eventually getting it made me instant sub
I thank you for your sub!
You losing to such high level players is just testament to the lack of a good match up system.
It's mostly people just getting the bass chip the game just *gives* you
mind if I ask what megaman bersion was this and platform?
why would you ever immediately jump into pvp with these games
I like to live life dangerously
I keep trying to join an online match but it's keeps saying that I couldn't find any other user's. What am I doing wrong 😢
Why they think allowing event chip in online is a good design lol 😅
Just curious, besides that one guy was there any perceivable lag or delay while playing online?
Still haven’t decided which version to get but leaning towards Switch
Honestly it seemed really smooth aside from the one match!
I I saw what happened 4:31 this my theory what happened when both getting new chips when you use guts man chip when he move up he use bass chip made him immune to Your attack I hope that the case at least
Opponent still had the invincibility frames for hitting them with the buster right before the custom screen opened. That's why Gutsman failed.
Oh god I gotta get stats maxed before I do bn1 pvp
"In order to be good online i have to be good in game?" Yes lmao yes thats how this works
Granted there should be a mode where your put with peoplebin the same level etc. But that would require work lmao
Yes. Turns out playing the game and getting better chips will help you win. Who’da thunk it?
has anybody tried Battle Network 2 on the playstation? I try and try and never find an opponent
To relive my childhood again. I can now r.i.p LOL! Unless they come out with a new MegaMan game....
I wonder if they are gonna do something for Starforce, ngl, if it does ends up well, we could get that fricking Starforce 4 that was cancelled
My mom got so mad when I was a kid and she saw "Jack out Megaman" on the screen! She just wouldn't believe me, it's innocent!
They need to get rid of the freeze frames in pvp. It'll leave room for you to I frame and actually dodge/evade chips that take up too many panels.
It sucks they didn't bring random chip Battle back. For the ds release of mmbn5 they added a online battle where you would get a random folder of random chips
DIdnt know this game had multiplayer!
It does! Each of the Battle Network games in the collection has it (I believe)
Yes, it does. Back in the Gameboy Advance days, you needed a game link cable and a friend who has a GameBoy and a copy of the same game but really, no one either had a game link cable, the game (or either the wrong installment or version), or they just didn't have a gameboy.
Isn't that the main point of this Series?
@@b-fenix5789 yeah. Like Pokémon. But some of us didn't have the luxury of playing battle network with friends, either at home or at the school yard during recess or after school, so this online mode is a blessing for those that didn't get to experience the magic of the GBA multi-player.
My strategy was to play the whole game and then go online for the first time
Yea I wouldn't have started pvp until playing lol you got this though
How do you get the chips? Do you have to play all the games to use them online?
Excuse me. I'm playing on PS4 and I played pass the first boss on MegaMan bt2 .
Dude I CANNOT FIND A SINGLE PERSON TO BATTLE
Great vid! I'm loving the game too! Did you get for Switch or PS4/PS5?
Switch! wanted to relive the days of playing BN on a mobile system!
I hope i dont regret buying this on steam but i cant see playstation or switch having much more luck keeping a playerbase online. wish we had real matchmaking
i'm afraid to tell you that there are only switch version players in pvp or online functions, playstation and steam versions, especially the late one, lacks on players for pvp or trading. I was lucky to made data compare for both versions of BN3 and BN6 on steam version, allowing me to 100% those games
Lol what did you expect would happen when going on PvP before preparing a good chip folder and building up your HP Memories?
That's my secret cap, I never think ahead. Lol
And people keep asking me why am I waiting until I get done with most of the postgame before I touch this online.
I've been around PvP back in the day, I've seen the vids online, and I can say for certain: fuck that Day 1 shit, I'm using my brain cells. Lol
Why did you get rid of the Cannon they let you do the program advance? You should have swapped out B code instead of C code
😂Dude your killing me litterly Jack Out😂
I can never find matches 🙄
I plan to buy physical version, sadly is not available in EU. I wonder if i buy JP version i can still battle online with people from other regions ?
Maybe? I know when I did the online play I was given the option of selecting regions I wanted to search for
This video is an example of why PVP is broken for most multiplayer games, the devs who design these modes do not think long term, and since most people are meta slaves you either have to do what everyone is doing, or you can't have fun in PVP since there is no way to setup custom rules for a match, I think that games with PVP should have player lobbies so that custom rules can be setup, and then people can extend the longevity of the games by just setting up events with rules or whatever, instead of the game growing old real quick by people just doing the same thing over and over again, till people get tired of it and then there's no one to play against..
