I am really surprised that WordPress requires an external plugin for something as essential as featured images with post exports. Too bad the plugin is out of date. I'm running a test right now and hope it still works (2023)! Thanks for the vid.

That's a nice quick fix for a nagging problem with the core functionality of WP. I wish there was an easy and free way to migrate the data sitting inside custom fields on CPTs, WP All Inport/Export, besides being two PAID plugins also looks like a pain in the a$$.

Hi. Found your tutorial and thought it might be solution I'm looking for. I have close to 10,000 entries in a custom post type / advanced custom fields. Followed your tut to the letter but failed to get a single record from the 85MB export file I got. What could be wrong? For what it's worth, I made an export and import before and manage to get about 8K out of 9.5K worth of data and not a single featured image. So I was hoping this tut would do the trick. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
