sounds very nice, ...but, so you can't switch on the octave side alone?

Thank you so much for showing the effect a buffer has on the pedal! I have a wireless unit, so I have no choice but to use a buffer. ALL other reviews that I've come across have been disappointingly silent on that front.

    Nice commercial.
Definitely not my style of pedal. Sorry. Sounds too digital.
    Thnx for sharing.
Btw. Old Phone keypad. Doesn't fit. 😉

@@6strung21 Let me give you an example of the original Foxx tonemachine.
      This thing isn't even close.
This is a 2021 clone ! Nice. If you like that kind of sound. But not for me.

@@willkupers Do you have an original Tone Machine to base your opinion on or are you basing this on other demos that were done with different amps, guitars, players and recording platforms? I haven't played one of these, but I do own three original Foxx Tone Machines that I have used for decades now. One is standalone Tone Machine and the other two are Foxx Fuzz Wah & Volume pedals. The Fuzz Wah version used to be a great value before players started figuring out they had the same fuzz as the Tone Machine plus you get a killer wah in the bargain. I bought 6 of the Fuzz Wah type for $80-150 each while the fuzz only pedals were going for about $300 at the time. It was no brainer though they often need to be fixed. I have since sold three of them. If you even look at the originals, they are all over the place in terms of caps & transistors. This means they all sound different from one another which has been my experience.
The link you provided is definitely a better sounding recording than this demo(he makes killer demos), but I bet I could coax similar sounds out of the pedal in this video based on the other demos I have seen. The 3699 pedal sounds pretty close though it can also sound different due to the mid boost circuitry. The best of the clones will always be the Prescription Electronics Experience(that's where my awareness of the Tone Machine began). The HBE Ultimate Fuzz Octave is also well done. The Experience can now go for more than an original Tone Machine, so that's out especially after Jack committed suicide a couple years ago. The UFO is no longer in production, so they can still be found for cheap though they have been getting more expensive in the past year. If I see one of these 3699 pedals used, I will definitely consider buying it.

@@wrayven Thanks for your response and info.
No I don't own an original Tone Machine. Want one ? Yes. I've seen/heard 'm @ friends. The sound in this video was disappointing.
