I’ve been constantly checking for reactions to this one. It’s definitely the best in this series. Samus did DOZENS of fills, and from what I can tell, all of them were different. He nails all the accents perfectly. As a fairly new drummer, this is SO inspirational for me. Thank you for reacting to it! Just subbed ❤

Achilles is my favorite Zep song, and I can't stop watching this video. He did SUCH a great job with his arrangement. Also, scripted or no, don't sleep on Blue Man Group. Their music is incredible.
Boots!! Thank you for the comment, I gotta say, (considering I didn't know this song) he absolutely CRUSHED IT! I've been lucky enough to see the Blue Man Group in person so I can definitely agree on their talent
I think that's what's so invigorating, seeing every single drummer approach and attack it in THEIR own way....even if they came to the same conclusion, the methodology is fun to watch
This is such a clever way of making notes for yourself. I make notes for bass fills in my head with silly things to remember the cue. But this? This is a whole different level. This is like having pace notes for a rally driver.
In case you didn't know, that drum kit is electronic. When I first saw the original video I wondered why there weren't any mics in the toms and the snare, I only found out why when I watched a reaction from a drummer in another channel. 🙂
I love your energy man 🤙 I knew he would nail it but the fact that he edited his voice over the song is next level trickery and it works so well, the song I never heard it before it's a masterpiece I felt in love instantly ❤️
66Samus is a very, very talented musician...he's played on Devon Townsend's Empath record. He's mainly a technical death metal drummer, but man he can play anything.
They did this with Nandi Bushell she managed to get that song nearly right when they played the real drumming back at her. The bass playing Keyboard by John Paul Jones. The Drummer was John Bonham as was before the double peddle he used no shoes to use his foot and toes to make the kick faster.
This is the proper reaction to this awesome performace :) (maybe it is the best so far in this drumeo series - btw the Scott's Bass Lessons channel has similar stuff but with bass guitar)

It honestly blows my mind that musicians don't know these songs. Maybe playing music consumes time they would otherwise be listening but man, drummers not knowing one of the best performances from maybe the greatest rock drummer ever seems so odd.
I was six when the song was recorded, never heard of it. What's so difficult to believe? Zeppelin may have been big, but they were still a niche band. I wasn't a stoner, so Zeppelin wasn't really on my radar.
@@johnterpack3940 I wasn't born when the song was recorded. Zeppelin isn't a niche band. But niche or not, yeah I would expect drummers to have heard the work of the some of the greatest drummers ever.
