Thank you for this. I knew I wasn't crazy. I filed in 93 and was denied with no rating. I just got 30% with 2 deferrals and they only paid from the most recent claim I filed in 22.

Thank you for the informative video. I have 4 questions regarding the timing within a month to determine Back Pay:
    1) Does the VA Back Pay prorated (ie partial) months or only whole month increments?
    2) IF #1 answer is PRORATED-MONTH Back Pay, are all days included in the calculation, or just work days?
Example 1: With Effective Date of 1/14/2023, would back Pay be for 18 days or 11 days
(6 weekend days & 1 holiday not counted)?
    3) IF #1 answer is WHOLE-MONTH Back Pay only, is there a cut-off date for a month to be considered whole?
    a. Example 1, would an Effective Date of 9/14/2022 result in Back Pay for September 2022?
    b. Example 2, would an Effective Date of 9/16/2022 result in NOT receiving Back Pay for September 2022
    4) Same question with Decision Date
    Thank you.

      1) No prorated monthly payments.
      2) Moot.
      3) Per your example of September date(s), anything effective that month won't be paid until end of October since VA pays a month behind the date granted.
      4) Decision date is when you were rated, not the actual date of entitlement.

So i am 100% now but i still have a pending claim on docket awaiting for judge since 2022. if i get awarded with that will i still get back pay from original date in 2022? Thanks

      Hello!
If you are already rated at 100% for a particular VA claim and you have a pending claim for additional benefits that is later approved, any back pay owed to you would typically be calculated from the original date of the pending claim, not from the date of your existing 100% rating. Have a great day!

cannot find but heard that the new rating to qualify for 💯 is 92.5 or 93 vice 95. Anyone able to provide the reference for this? TIA

Not true as far as I know. Just using the Disability Calculator on the VA website rounds down. So I would assume that if they make what ur saying true they would update that and add a note on the page.
