Yussef Dayes has quickly become one of my favorite drummers. I'm just now finding out these guys back in early 2017. I haven't heard a song by them yet that I didn't like!!

Have to pay justice for kamaal, the chords are just great, bring so much mysticism and feed spirit in a good way.
The drummer is possessed by the spirit of the drum god.
The way Yussef is kinda hunched over, with the tight afro, facial hair, and is moving around almost like being controlled by something much more than himself reminds me a lot of Stuff era Steve Gadd.
Heard this album for the first time today, couldnt stop listening to this one. And I knew when i looked for a live performance on youtube it would surely be fucking phenomenal. That drumming gives me crazy goosebumps

You’re right about this but that little breakdown was rehearsed. They feel out the timing naturally which is the cool part but it’s still rehearsed.
Big ups to all these beautiful artists but my god, Yussef’s artistry is damn near unfathomable
