I dont remember the music of the old game being as good/haunting but maybe I am wrong about that.
I don’t know how they do it, but this makes the destiny locations feel more alive like for example; 7:01, this plays when your on your sparrow, it just feels like the world is alive

Yes, unfortunately I found that out once you uploaded the track, I thought that the every patrol area played each song if you stayed long enough. Then play a duplicate track once every track has been played. This was incorrect.
I may not longer play Destiny (cough cough content-vaulting!) but the music sticks with you. I'm actually learning to play piano because I want to be able to play Deep Stone Lullaby and Solitude. It's going to be 100-500 hours or so before I can, but I can put in the work. :)

Is 7:01 a different version of Frigid Tomb? I can’t hear neither the extra beats nor the other instruments in this background. I always figured Bungie had only 1 version of each track, but I guess I was wrong. Same goes with Wasteland, as I can’t hear the percussion. Interesting.
There are two layers for each track. Music layer and percussion layer. In patrol, you will hear only the music layer when motionless or walking. Both layers play when moving quickly or in combat. Sometimes the percussion will fade out when exiting combat (or in dreaming city music just cut out). I didn't realize it until after but if you listen the first song in this video you'll hear the percussion fade out. I think one of the reasons why they did this, is because it allowed them to use either layer in different activities. You'll often find that in some missions the whole percussion layer plays in certain areas and when you get to the final fight the full action tracm of that percussion will play.
